Needed a few cupcakes in the area and I found this online so I decided to to check it out. So glad I did because it was a delicious gem in an unassuming location/city! There were a ton of options from cookies to pastries to cakes and it is definitely a one stop shop for a variety of baked goods. The brownie was decadent and delicious, loved that the brownie wasn't too thick. My favorite was the cream cheese sticky buns and I'll definitely have to order more if I'm in the area again. The chocolate cupcake is a great option if you need cupcakes. Even though the carrot muffin is labeled as a "muffin," it can easily pass as a solid carrot cupcake. The only "bummer" was the peanut butter cupcake; somehow the actual cupcake was dry and flavorless, which was disappointing since the other cupcakes were not like that. But otherwise we loved everything else we got and can't wait to try more! read more

I stopped in to buy sticky buns and a butter cake. When I got home and opened the butter cake, I went to cut a piece and there was nothing to cut! NO CAKE in the butter cake- just butter. When I called, the woman that answered tried to tell me that that's the way butter cakes are. NOPE! I'm 45 and have had many butter cakes- even from Fritz's! There was always some solid part. All I got was butter. Yes, butter cakes are gooey- that's a given- but what I bought had no cake. I paid around $11.00 for sweetened butter. What a ripoff! I have to add- they dd refund my money for the butter- and still insisted that this is the way they make their butter "cakes". You can save yourself money by melting butter and adding sugar to it. They shouldn't call it a butter cake- it's misleading! There is no cake- only liquid butter- it should be served in a mug. read more

Home of the best darn cinnamon roll you will ever have! I know people come here for sweet buns, but I am particular to the cinnamon roll. If you are in the area or Sesame place, treat yourself to a giant fluffy pastry! They also sell great cakes, cookies and cupcakes....but seriously get the CINNAMON ROLL. It is also next door to a good pizza spot if you want to get all your daily carbs in one shot. The service is always very pleasant and prices are reasonable. Frtiz's is a small size shop but they offer a good amount of cookies, cakes, and of course, their signature German sticky buns which are ridiculous. These damn things, so good with a cup of coffee. It was probably one of the best bakery items I've had in quite some time. Fresh, flavorful, moist, delicious, decadent. And if you're taking it to go, don't forget to get some of those containers of cream cheese frosting to go along with it! Aside from the sticky buns, they make really great cakes. I just ordered a buttercreme frosted chocolate chip cake with custom text and everybody commented how fresh, tasty and visually appealing it was. All in all, this is a top notch bakery. I am a big fan of butter cakes and there supposedly one of the best ones around but I thought it was kinda runny and I thought that the person who took my order at counter was annoyed with there job. We ordered a cake 2 days before our party with a pretty interesting "SpongeBob 16th birthday request" when describing the scene they automatically knew what we were talking about. I was breathless when they showed me the cake. It was so awesome! It was executed so well and was so so so cool. my daughter was extremely happy and it really made our day! Went around 11 am and bought $60 worth of goodies. Bought a dozen sticky buns. Half plain and half with nuts! I sent some to my sister-in-law before tasting. She text me that they were delicious even though they were "past their prime". I told her I bought them the same morning. I tasted them and they were dry and hard on the ends. I go one a month and they have never tasted stale or "past their prime"! That was embarrassing! Hopefully, they are not like that when I go back in a couple of weeks! read more

IF I WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE 10 STARS IF I COULD! A friend treated me to some goodies here while visiting. I had the cream cheese and walnut sticky bun and the sugar and chocolate chip cookies. My only complaint is that I DIDNT ORDER ENOUGH TO BRING HOME! The staff were friendly, inviting, patient, and answered all of our questions. We had planned to get a pound cake from a well known bakery in the city that was closed for summer maintenance. We chose a Fritz's based on a recommendation from a family member. We could not have been happier. Very friendly staff, a custom decorated double pound cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. It was wonderfully decorated and tasted great. I could probably sum this review up in just a few words: GET THE STICKY BUNS. But we all know I can't stop at just a few words sooo here we go...! This place is fantastic. It's a small, hole-in-the-wall bakery, crammed between a pizza shop, a Primo Hoagies and a Saladworks. If you don't already know about it or haven't been told to look for it, you'd honestly probably miss it. Luckily, I had been told about Fritz years ago when I was working nearby and even though I'm not in Langhorne too often anymore, I try to stop by whenever I can! Although they have some good cookies and cakes, the sticky buns are what's up! They are so sweet and buttery, and perfectly baked. I've tried both the regular and the iced cream cheese - my favorite of the two being the iced cream cheese. I'm planning to try the raisin and walnut sticky bun next time though! It sounds right up my alley and last time I was there, the friendly cashier said it was her personal favorite. I only didn't get it on my last visit because I was purchasing for a group and wanted to get a classic. Aside from the amazing baked goods, Fritz also won me over with its good customer service and cute set up. I love the signs and quirky pieces scattered around the shop! This is my goto spoke for for sticky buns. I prefer the sticky buns topped with walnuts or icing for added sugary goodness. The employees are very friendly and helpful. They will help with suggestions if you have trouble deciding what you want. The bakery is kind of small but loaded with cakes, cookies, pies and other standard bakery goods. February 20th is National Sticky Bun Day and like many other things, the sticky bun originated in Philadelphia, hmmm, I wonder if Fritz's grandfather knew that when he came to this area from Germany with his recipe for German sticky buns? Regardless, when you walk inside you will see more sticky buns than you have ever seen in your life! Plain sticky buns, raisin topped sticky buns, walnut topped sticky buns and raisin and walnut topped sticky buns and trays of sticky buns with thick cream cheese icing on them! They even have sticky bun rings, sheet cakes or layered cakes. I've found sticky bun heaven! They claim to have the best sticky buns and have awards to back them up, we bought a couple of each kind and plan to freeze some, but we each had a sliver of each and they are good indeed, are they the best I have ever had, no. However they are moist, very sticky and loaded with toppings, if that is how you ordered them. We also bought 6 Danish, again plan on freezing some, one cheese and one lemon filled for me, I had a third of each and they were buttery and flaky and had enough filling to even satisfy me. Hubby chose two cherry, one crumb and one apple. He ate 1/2 of one cherry and loved it and 1/2 of the crumb and was not thrilled. Got milk? Cases of homemade fancy cookies, layered cakes galore, all kinds of brownies, cheesecakes, plain or filled with fruit, mini Danish and cannolies or you can buy the large size. Fruit turnovers, eclairs, cream puffs, pies, and cinnamon breads or pound cakes. They make cinnamon pretzels and a chocolate cheese dream cake, which we bought, it is loaf size and is a dark chocolate cake that was very moist and topped with both a rich chocolate fudge icing and cream cheese icing, excellent! I must admit my favorite of all that we bought was one large macaroon covered in a dark chocolate. I'm anxious to return to try their gooey butter cake. The only thing calorie free about this bakery are the wonderful aroma's that catch you as you're walking in. They have three locations, actually one closer to my house that I had never noticed, but it's cool to know when my sweet tooth starts hollering! Just had to try the sticky buns while I was in the area and they did not disappoint! I really wish I bought a whole bunch more and some of their other goods too because everything was amazing! I'll definitely go back if I'm in the area. I got to try the pumpkin and cranberry orange muffins too and wow. Best pumpkin muffin I ever had honestly! The aroma of baked goods is heavenly as one enters Fritz's. Making the rounds of several eateries in Hart Plaza, (which is convenient to Aria Health and Sesame Place), I poked my head in and couldn't leave without purchasing some of the delicious-looking goods. Fritz's is famous for their sticky buns and cinnamon rolls. However, they also offer luscious looking cakes, cookies, brownies and other goodies. Fresh coffee is available, too. Arrived home with two sticky buns - one topped with nuts and raisins, the other with fat lines of cream cheese frosting - and a large cheese babka. Plain cheese and cheese/raspberry babkas were available in the case at the time of today's visit. When I unpacked them, it was easy to notice both were still warm. I tucked into the bun with raisins and nuts with a cup of coffee. Ohhhh. Moist, sticky, sweet, tender, and a bit of crunch from the edge. It would be hard to top this. Posting this review pre-babka bite. Will add a comment on the babka after breakfast tomorrow! 3/27/2018 - We enjoyed the babka with coffee for breakfast. It is moist, with a nice ratio of cheese to dough, and slightly sweet, but not cloyingly so. A dab of jam or lemon curd on a mouthful wouldn't push it over the edge. I ordered a wedding cake for Monday May 3rd 2021 I went in the bakery to see The decorator several times I showed her many pictures of what I wanted I brought in the flowers and the items I wanted on the cake. The day the cake was delivered my wedding day it was disgusting disastrous the cake was tiny barely could see it they didn't use any of the flowers they charged me $147 for a cake that all my guests couldn't even believe was so small let alone decorated very shabbily this bakery was the worst bakery I've ever dealt with then on top of tried to lie to me when I contacted them about to tell me we used all your flowers we gave you what you wanted no they did not I would never use this bakery again let alone ruin anybody else's wedding day do not use them buyer beware they are frauds. read more
