Drove 5 hours with two kids to go to fright fest and it was so crowded we couldn't even get near the park. Waited in line for an hour and a half and the line never moved. Called to ask for a refund after spending $200 on tickets and was told there is a strict no refund policy even though there was NO access to the park. We couldn't even get close enough to see a parking lot.

Ehhhhh. I was super excited to finally to get to go fright fest but it was just A LOT. The traffic to get in was insane first of all. The lines to get in were INSANE! There were no workers directing so it was pure chaos. CHAOS!!!! We had to purchase an actual six flags ticket plus an additional ticket for fright fest. Plus I ended up getting fast pass, thank goodness. But it was super pricy. It took us like 45 min just to get in the park, which is insane. They had so many rides closed which was disappointing! There's literally no signage for the fast pass lines which is really confusing and frustrating. There were like no workers anywhere to ask for help. We were in the fast lane for the rides and no one even checked our tickets when we got the ride. So, it seems that if you can somehow find the secret hidden fast pass line you can just use it for free. We tried to do the same with the haunted house line but there's a wristband that you need. So, we had to go stand in line to show them we already paid for fast pass and to get a wristband. The same line is full of people trying to buy fast passes so that took another 15 minutes. The haunted houses are short but they definitely have the spooky factor and had me on my toes. I didn't like that a lot of park rides were closed which led to super long lines for the rides that were open even with fast pass sometimes. But the few rides that we did get on were really fun! But yeah...I highly doubt I'll ever go back. It's just not worth it

Park opened at 12pm. It was a heat wave type of day with temps in the high 90s. My kids went on a couple of rides but alot of rides we decided not to go on because the sun made the seats really hot. They should seriously consider putting up tents/shades for the rides. My favorite coasters were the New Texas Giant and Titan. I also went on Mr.Freeze, Pandemonium, Superman, and Tormenta. Tormenta is the newest roller coaster there now but I hated it. The ride was bumpy, not smooth at all and towards the end, when its trying to get back to the station it would stop and go, stop and go, stop and go so many times. If the ride itself didnt give you a headache, that part will. Even though it wasnt busy, wait times for certain coasters and rides were long because they only had 1 car running. Mr. Freeze had a long wait time. Superman had a long wait time even though the app said less than 15 minutes. I waited roughly 30 minutes before i actually got on the ride and that was only because i was a single rider and I asked them if I can cut all the way to the front, after I waited until I was close enough to the front to talk to a worker that was there. I probably cut like 3-5 cars worth of people, each car would take like 8-12 people at a time. There was a good amount of self soda/water refill stations located all over the park. Needs more shade though. My kids (2 and 4yo) enjoyed interacting with the fright fest scary actors. My 4yo was a bit scared at first but the actors were very nice to young kids and gave fist bumps so my kids got very comfortable with them. Even though I was planning on leaving aroubd 7pm, my son wanted to find the "scariest and biggest" monster in the park so we stayed later to walk around the scary atmosphere and we were lucky to find "Cookie and Sparky". The actors mostly concentrate towards the front of the park and Gotham area. My kids enjoyed their day and thats the most important although some things couldve been better. .

I always struggle reviewing businesses and separating the people working (who were great), from the…read morerides (which were sparse) and the location (which was abysmal since it could take over 2 hours to leave the parking lot). So with that said I'd like to level set what you should expect. The park is clean, reasonably priced, and has about 4 rides you'll write home about. The park is mainly limited by space since it's in the greater Dallas area. It was fun and you'll make memories. But it's best to take this park for what it is and not compare it to other parks. It's great for 4-7 hours.

Justice League: Battle for Metropolis

Justice League: Battle for Metropolis

Holy interactivity, Batman!…read more Kudos to Six Flags for adding a tremendously cool ride themed to everyone's favorite DC comics characters. The premise is that 5/7ths of the Justice League have been captured by the villainous Joker and diabolical Lex Luthor who threaten to take control of Gotham Cit--er, Metropolis. You sit 3 across in 2 rows for a total of 6 passengers per ride vehicle, where everyone gets a different colored 'blaster' (e.g. purple, green, red, blue). Designed and manufactured by Sally Dark Rides, JL:BFM combines the theme park technology of a motion simulator on a track with the arcade fun of a light-gun shooter (think Time Crisis or House of the Dead). You're given the cheap-o 3D glasses before you board, which are needed to interact with the EIGHT digital 3D screens during the ride. Yep, that's 8 times you and five other 'recruits' are shooting at bad guys on interactive screens--some as big as 30ft wide--in an effort to rack up the most points. The gun accuracy is surprisingly good, but then again the ride's new, so I'm sure it'll fade over time. There's a nifty animated video that runs in the queue (featuring an especially deranged Joker.....is that you, Mark Hamill??) and a most excellent animatronic of Cyborg, the least-known/cared-about member of the Justice League. 'The Amazing Adventures of Spider Man' [IOA, Orlando] is still the motion simulator ride by which all others are judged, but this is a pretty damn good effort on Six Flags' part. ____________ i can haz mini rant? okay i haz rant now: So I created a page for JL:BFM a few days prior to riding it, but lo and behold some jerkface by the name of "Jack G" sneaks up and totally hijacks my first review. Not only that, but he has the gall to write a 1-star on how simply unbearable the wait is. Face the facts, Jack, amusement park rides usually involve you WAITING IN LINE. Also, brand-new rides, like this one here, will have even longer lines because it's hot and it's new and it draws way more guests. Technical difficulties notwithstanding (which CAN happen from time to time, there's a lot of moving parts involved, deal with it), once you're in line, you *don't* leave for any reason. You sent your son to refill the water bottle [thus exiting the line] and were surprised that park security told him he couldn't linejump to rejoin you? GOOD. That means they're doing their job. Obviously you don't read so well, because ".....linejumping or rejoining the ride line for any reason is strictly prohibited and will be enforced." Oh, and thanks for leaving such a nicely detailed description of the actual ride experience.....not. Idiot. 'this is stupid I have to wait in line for a ride, durrrr'. What did you expect, dude? 0% downtime on every ride in the park? C'mon. _____________ Raging aside, this is a spectacular ride that's fun for all ages and is a great way to stay cool on a hot Texas day (indoor = air conditioning). I HIGHLY recommend that park guests give Justice League: Battle For Whatever a go-round, even if the wait times are upwards of 1 hour. And don't despair Missourians, Six Flags St. Louis just installed a clone of this at your park! Happy shooting :)

The layout is pretty similar to Dahlonega Mine Train back at SFOG, maybe not as intense, but I did like the scenery of the ride, as it looked like we were in some forest. It's a great way to start your day at the park -- of course, yes there are some jerks and turbulence, but that's the beauty of a mine train. There is always a long line but most of the time it goes by quick! The ride itself is not scary at all so I say is a good 'beginner' coaster to ease on to the big ones. What i like is that at the end of the coaster you have the saloon you go through and depending on the holiday the employees dress up the mannequins. From my understanding, this was the first tubular roller coaster in the park. There is a historical plaque right by the entrance that details the history of the roller coaster.

Went around 3pm on a Thursday and getting in to park was the easiest part of the day. We walked in and tried to scan our cards and the girl tells me one of my cards is just for parking and the other card is invalid. She continues to look at me until I finally asked "do I need to go to guest services?" And she mumbled a yes. Get to guest services and you can see plenty of people inside but only one window is being utilized. An employee finally comes to the window and I explain what happened in line, he goes above and beyond trying to help me get the situation resolved. He takes a picture of what he has just in case and thankfully he did as when I went back into line, the card on the app still didn't work. This girl looked confused but she called someone over to help her and we got it resolved. I was surprised to find a chair but if I tell you the chairs are sitting on top of each other so be prepared to get to know your neighbor. So apparently we haven't come in a while as when I got into the lazy river I was looking for tubes only to find out you have to rent them! $15 for a single tube and you can't bring your own. Also not a fan of the you can only enter/exit at certain spots. Wave pool - yeah, no tubes allowed in there. You have grown folks using life vest to float on or grown folks with life vest on to float in the deepest end. You can't bring any outside food or drinks in but are welcome to go to your car and come back in to continue your day. As I said, it's been a minute since we came although we are season card members however my 17 year old was ready to go, said he could have more fun at the local pool.
