It is important that people feel safe and respected, particularly when seeking care for pain and trauma. Despite what the name suggests, this place is not that. Both Arcy Lopez and Monica McKinny - staff members of SEVA - should be reprimanded, as it is evident that their training has failed them, resulting in a failure to uphold the standards expected in a healthcare setting. Common sense and basic manners should not have to be demanded; they should be intrinsic to the patient care experience. Their actions jeopardize the well-being of patients who seek help and compassion during vulnerable times. As a first-time patient seeking pain management following a motor vehicle accident, I entered the SEVA facility with hope for compassionate care. Regrettably, my experience was marred by unprofessional conduct that left me feeling disrespected, unsupported, and also raised serious concerns about safety and patient care. Upon arrival, I was asked to sign paperwork by the receptionist. When I approached the front desk to clarify some legal statements in the documents, I was given incorrect information. My younger sister intervened, pointing out that the paperwork contradicted the staff member's response. She asked us to hold on and grabbed another staff member, Arcy Lopez. I was asking specific questions regarding the document which she entirely disregarded. Her explanations contradicted what was written on the form and when I asked for further clarification, she dismissed my questions and responded with annoyance and a smirk. I expressed my hesitation about signing the paperwork, stating I did not feel comfortable doing so without their explanation of the clauses, especially given a past personal experience with a similar facility. Instead of addressing my concerns or explaining the document thoroughly, Lopez told me that if I did not sign immediately, the doctor would not see me - an appointment I was already scheduled for. She told me to leave and go talk to my lawyer if I had a problem. I said I could not sign the form. Lopez proceeded to scoff, took my paperwork, said 'ok' in a dismissive tone, and walked away, further escalating an already tense situation. Minutes later, we realized that my driver's license had not been returned. When we walked back in and approached the front desk to retrieve it, I informed the staff that I needed my ID back. After receiving my license, my sister calmly addressed the disrespectful behavior we had encountered, emphasizing that no patient should be treated in such a manner. Instead of acknowledging my sister's concerns, Lopez returned to the front desk from a back room, with a defensive attitude, denying any wrongdoing. In a threatening tone, she stated, "the doctor is speaking with your attorney right now," as if to intimidate us for asking questions and advocating for ourselves. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also created a sense of hostility and discomfort, breaching the expected safety within a healthcare environment - especially when vocalized by a patient. This was relayed to her by my younger sister, who was on the verge of tears. Rather than addressing our concerns or simply apologizing, Lopez responded with annoyance and a threatening smirk once again. The situation reached its peak when Lopez proceeded to SLAM the front desk window in our faces when we asked for her name and then yelled 'whatever' and walked away again. The loud bang from the slamming of the window, inches away from our faces, startled the both of us and exacerbated my physical pain, causing me to shake and increased chest pain. This also shook my younger sister. This behavior was utterly unacceptable and indicative of a broader issue with the treatment of patients at this institute. When another staff member, Monica Mckinny, insisted that nothing wrong had occurred, it became clear that there was a troubling lack of accountability and professionalism. No staff member offered apologies, until it was pointed out to Monica in a frustrated tone after experiencing the obnoxious and threatening slam of the window, upon which she still insisted her coworker had done no wrong. My sister, once again, tried to explain to the front desk staff that patients who arrive at this institute are already dealing with pain and trauma, and instead of being compassionate towards that, as medical professionals should, all the staff we encountered did the exact opposite. And in fact, increased my pain and trauma - so I ended up recording of a portion of the dialogue. Their behavior was so unwarranted and damaging. Healthcare is fundamentally a service industry, and while I understand that staff may face pressures, this was highly inappropriate and unacceptable. I never even got to walk into the room to see the doctor.

Dr. Grant is the definition of a great doctor and actually hears the patient let me tell you why:…read more(Sorry long post but worth hearing how Dr. Grant saves my life TRULY no BS!!!) Upon meeting Dr. Grant two years ago for my evaluation from a back injury I had on the job that Worker's Comp. didn't do anything about he was extremely attentive listener and did a exam on me and told me what his professional opinion was of what I had. He said we had to do EMG to confirm and he would order physical therapy. He was so great during the EMG and yes for me it was painful however he was sensitive to my needs during the process. It confirmed his professional opinion of what I had wrong and we continue to treat with steroid injections. They were amazing! Shortly after meeting Dr. Grant my nausea got really bad I started projectile vomiting I started blacking out I couldn't sleep I had to sleep sitting up. I Continue do follow ups to check in with Dr. Grant to treat my back injury he was very aware and I told him I'd be sent home from the ER four times. I was having really bad migraines worst in my life and Dr. Grant referred me to a neurologist but I couldn't get in for two months and I was also referred to another neurologist by my primary care doctor but also couldn't get in for two months. Long story short Dr. Grant said come back in gave me neck injections in office and if that didn't work he would work around the medical insurance red tape to get me a brain MRI. Something more was wrong so Dr. Grant made the MRI possible because still no availability at the neurologist. I had a call 20 minutes after my Brain MRI from Dr. Grant and poor Dr. Grant bless his heart never having to do this before in his life because he specializes in a different medical field had to tell me I had to rush myself to the ER or call 911 because he didn't know if I would live. I had a huge brain tumor. Dr. Grant had called the hospital ahead of time to make sure the best neurosurgeon in the country was on my case. Can you believe Dr. Grant did all this for me? WOW! After having brain surgery Dr. Grant still did not leave me. Dr. Grant still continue to take care of me evaluate the scar on my head and give me Physical Therapy for my vestibular schwannoma even though he didn't have to do any of these things and even though he could've just given up on me and said well I gave you the referral I did my part it's up to you. I would have DIED. It's because of Dr. grants efforts and listening to me that I am alive today I am so very thankful! I can't believe I found a Doctor who I can say is actually in my corner who fights for me. BTW, the office staff is nice here however making appointments in dealing with the processes aren't all that great that doesn't matter when you have the best doctor in the world thank you Dr. Grant.

The staff, especially Cameron, went out of their way to schedule a telemed appointment for me when no in-person appointments were available. Dr. Johnson, Shirley, Donna, and Crystal have been exceptional in ascertaining my medical needs throughout my Workers Comp injuries. The acupuncturist I had met on Saturdays was also proficient at relieving the pain in my affected areas. I am fortunate that this team is assisting me with recovering from my injuries.

I've been a patient here since 2017 and have always been on time, so this experience was very disappointing. I arrived slightly late today due to unexpected construction and heavy traffic, which I explained and apologized for immediately. The receptionist told me they are now "strict" about lateness, something I had never been informed about before. Instead of checking with the doctor directly, she chose to email and made me wait about 30 minutes while saying she was waiting for a response. During that time, she made no effort to follow up in person, even though there were multiple staff members and it wasn't busy initially. Meanwhile, she continued checking in other patients. After making me wait, I was told the doctor could not see me because he was behind. This situation feels poorly handled and frustrating, especially since my delay was unavoidable and I made every effort to arrive on time.
