The food was great as always. The only problem we encountered was an employee coming in on her day off without wearing a mask. She was wearing a tye-dye sweater and a messy bun. The people were nice and welcoming.. they asked if it was our first time there and recommended items to us that they though we would enjoy.. i energy for the Swiss melt and regular fries with the sweet BBQ seasoning.. it was great .. the seasoning was great , the food came put with in 10 min of ordering .. nice servings size.. We came to fries etc for lunch one day, never been before, but I'm so glad we stopped in. The lady that took our order was very nice qnd patient with us since we had no idea what we wanted! My husband got the red white and blue burger and I got the southwest avocado but with blue cheese instead of pepper jack. Both of our meals were made fresh and came put very hot. They were delicious! Ordered through Waitr app to pickup since they didn't deliver to my area. Show at pickup time (20 minutes post order) and young lady tells me she'll start my order because no one told her it was for pickup. No problem. Wait 30 minutes for order and look to find out that the wedges I requested were regular fries. Approach the counter to ask why no wedges and informed that they were an up-charge and since I'd paid by app she couldn't do the up charge. Here's an idea....charge the up charge when I arrived since the order wasn't started yet. Or better yet inform me that it is an up charge so I can make a decision. Communicate with customers and tell them instead of expecting them to grab their bags and find out what's been packed on their way home. Customer service will take you a long way. read more

Ok so I was convinced to try this place again after I heard it had new owners and Korean dishes. First time back I got Philly cheese steak and it was awesome! 2nd time I went I got bulgogi and rice and wow it was amazing. 3rd time I had spicy pork bulgogi and it was fantastic as well. Upon walking in there was no smile from the worker that took our order. Felt as if she didn't want to be there. We ordered the bacon cheeseburger and mushroom Swiss burgers. They were so good! Definitely yummy food. The only recommendation is to have a smile on your face when customers come in and to clean the place a bit. My chair, high chair, and table were all sticky. I ordered the America Burger with Reggie-Style/Texas Seasoning Fries and a Coke and enjoyed every bite and sip of my meal. The owner maybe if that is who he is, he was the only one in the diner taking orders and making food. maybe he was unaware but I was watching him make food through the window and he not once washed his hands or wore gloves. My girlfriend and I went here for the first time just to try something different and it was a little less than okay. I mean it wasn't bad, but it certainly wasn't great. The soda machines didn't work which was a huge disappointment especially since seeing the "Maine Root" sign from the window was a huge draw! I mean how many places let you get such unique sodas with a burger right?!? But they just had water or tea. The food was mediocre at best. Certainly not worth the price. It wasn't a bad burger and fries, but nothing that would make me want to come back. Their napkin holder said, "fast food isn't good and good food isn't fast," but the food took a long time to get there and it wasn't as tasty as fast food. When you compare places that make better burgers that aren't fast food by taste and price... they win. Throw in faster food that is cheaper still, it's hard to compare. Plus, for a place called "Fries, etc." the fries weren't that impressive. And they didn't even have the "specialty" fries available... just standard regular fries that were unsalted and bland. Some would argue that atmosphere could set it apart, but that was ruined by the weird conspiracy theory alien/demon videos ripped from YouTube playing on a small TV by the register that just destroyed the atmosphere. That kind of ignorance can just ruin the best of burgers. Their menu was extensive, and some of the more unique items might be the thing that sets it apart but for a burger joint... it isn't anything impressive. The people were nice though, but in all I wouldn't consider coming back. Unless they fixed the soda machines. A good sarsaparilla with a burger could easily make it worth a second chance. read more

I believe this place may have been sold and is under different management. The first time I went there several months ago it was great, however... This afternoon there were four people working (with a completely empty restaurant) and no one had any idea what they were doing. Their shoestring fry maker/machine was broken, so we settled on curly fries. They took a good five minutes to ring up our order, and when we tried to pay they said they didn't have a credit card machine, so we had to go to an ATM. Thanks for waiting to tell us until AFTER our order was already in so that we'd feel obligated to not cancel our order--completely unacceptable. In addition, the soda fountain was broken (i.e., there was no carbonation in any of the drinks). The "boss" insisted he'd just changed the bottle/canister, but couldn't figure out how to get it working, so he refunded the drink. We got home (to go order) and the fries the fries were clearly at least a day old. As a result, none of the seasoning they added stuck to the fries, and THIS IS THE ENTIRE POINT OF THE RESTAURANT; IT's CALLED "FRIES, ETC." Not only that but I'm fairly confident they were even made in house; they had the consistency of freeze-dried frozen chips, rather than french fries. Major disappointment, for quite the price. Easily the worst "fast food" dining experience of my life--and that's saying A LOT. read more

I have been to this establishment several times now,and it always has been good. The main thing about this place is consistency. The food has been consistently good from the chicken fried rice to the burgers .try the potato soup; it is excellent and always freshly made. They serve a good quantity of little gems like egg rolls, yaki mandu and chicken wings. The pork chops dinner is excellent,also the pork chop is huge! The ambience is good. Pretty good burger and fry spot. Key to a great burger is have it stuffed, very juicy and good amount of food for the price. Large fry not like Mel's that would feed 4+, if you love FF get your own, they are delicious! I really like the drink selection very different than anyone else, prickly pear juice is very yummy and not too sweet. Food very fresh and service was very good! With all the great burger places in the area his one fits in well. I would recommend this place if you want good burger and FF. I would rank it: Mel's, Mooyas, Five Guys, Fries Etc, Freddy's. This place is hit or miss. We went once, and I got an American burger with shoe string chili lime fries. It was perfect. Husband and father in law no complaints. Went again expecting the same great food. I got the "special" chilli burger and shoestring garlic parmesan fries. Husband got the American with sweet bbq shoestring. His burger was great. But that is where the good ends. Took over 45min to get burgers and fries. I make homemade fries and burgers often. This is a ridiculous amount of time. For an order of 4 people, they managed to screw it up. The curly fries were ok, still mushy, the regular fries were store bought frozen from the bag fries there horrilbe and no flavor except old oil. The spiral potates were nice and crispy but lacked any flavor. The kid's burger was so thin and over cooked it looked like a burger chip. The other burgers were also very thin and way over cooked. I had the blue cheese on mine, a decision I later regretted as it make me very ill later in the night. Do not waste your time. read more

The staff is friendly and fun, that means a lot to us. Now, first off my order, and my two sons, were right on the money. My daughter and my dads, not so much. They both had the bacon cheeseburgers and spicy hot fries. Both burgers had the wrong veggies and sauce. Being in Texas, when someone says hot fries, you expect hot. I'm a baby when it comes to spicy and I had no problem with them being hot at all. That was disappointing. My hubby had a big bacon burger with regular fries. His only complaint was the blandness.
