    Reese's Pieces Sundae

What's better than a classic spot. Nostalgia at its best. The turkey stack was great! And oh my I love a Reese's pieces sundae. And they have the best Coke ever.

Visiting family and was driving back to the hotel when we had to do a turn around to come here. Thought they pretty much were all closed... First time ever using the take out window. It was almost 10 PM in the summer and the girl at the counter was polite, and quickly made our items. My husband had a black raspberry Fribble, which he said was very good (He said Graeter's in Ohio and Kentucky' have better black raspberry). I had a Happy Ending Sundae, made with cookies and cream and topped with marshmallow topping, peanut butter topping, and whipped cream and sprinkled with Reese's Pieces ( a throw back to my younger days eating Reese's Pieces sundaes when they first came out and had5 scoops).... I devoured it, it was delicious, but honestly it seemed smaller being shoved in a takeout cup than the metal serving bowl I was used to . 5/5 for pure nostalgia, taste and "ambience" when I checked out the dining room...

To top it off, there was a young guy singing Frank Sinatra classics in the middle of the week, which gave the place such a fun and classy vibe. For appetizers, we tried the wonton nachos, which were absolutely delicious. The meatballs and mozzarella were good, though a bit heavier on the bread than I prefer. Dinner was outstanding across the board. We ordered the Chicken Caesar salad, hamburger, crab cakes, and the Rockefeller French dip, and every single dish was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The restaurant itself is trendy, with an amazing bar and great atmosphere. I highly recommend checking this place out -- we'll definitely be back!

The old back room had been transformed into an official party room with a separate bar and restroom and closed off with decorative barn doors. The bar area offers ample seating, with the dining area ( offering table service) behind the bar wall overlooking the main stage. Greeted warmly greeted when we first entered with only a five minute wait ( we had a reservation and I highly recommend making one). Again warmly welcomed by our server Nicole who provided an outstanding service throughout the evening. Nicole was friendly, engaging and offered excellent dinner and drink suggestions. Live music was on tap on this Friday evening which did make the dining room rather loud for holding table conversations but worth the live music being played that evening. The cocktail menu offers a good and varied selection of mixed drinks and wine and the mixed drinks are both flavorful and expertly presented. I would highly recommend both the Flappers Folly ( a refreshing floral mix) and the Espresso Martini drinks. Started off with the hot honey & bacon brussel sprout appetizers which were perfectly flavored with the honey and bacon bits over crispy brussel sprouts. All main dish items were very good. The Old Sport Burgers were juicy, flavorful and all cooked to perfection served with crispy string French fries. The French Dip Au Jus was well seasoned and not to dry with a flavorful au jus. I would highly recommend the Gatsby Grain dish bowel. Shredded chicken served over jasmine rice and vegetables was outstanding and served with a side salad. Restaurant manager Cathy was very visible in the dining room checking in with every table and asking for feedback which you don't see very often nowadays. Even got a personal tour of the new party room ( looking for a location for a future event). Overall good food reasonably priced , excellent service and nice decorum with live music offered on the weekends. A great place to grab a drink and listen to music while catching a great burger or the Gatsby Grain dish bowel . You won't be disappointed.

We started out by sharing the fried calamari appetizer which was light and crispy on the outside and tender and tasty on the inside. The house made marinara sauce was a welcome addition. Our Caesar salads were fresh and flavorful. I particularly liked the shaved parmigiana cheese on top. For our entrees, I had the rack of lamb, cooked just the way I asked for it, medium. I loved the au jus which added an another dimension to the flavor. The lamb was tender and tasty. My husband had the 12 once filet mignon rare. He was so pleased that it was served exactly as he asked for it. He raved that the filet was absolutely PERFECT! It was so tender that it practically melted in his mouth. He truly enjoyed every bite. Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing. The ambiance was dark and quiet. We both agree that we can't wait to return to The Holstein Grill Steak House for another meal. This time we'll have to save room for dessert.

The Honey had the meatloaf entree with two sides and I opted for the Ahi Tuna Bowl. Both meals were absolutely delicious! My bowl was bursting with lettuce, cabbage, avocado, wonton strips and the salad dressing just pulled everything together! We were satisfied but still craved dessert. James suggested the homemade Key Lime pie....he said the company was Florida based. He did say all the desserts were good but, if you like Key Lime we needed to try it. Although there was not a kids menu available in the regular one, when we inquired there was a variety offered for the young one. We got the nachos with chicken it was a HUGE PORTION, definitely too much for two adults we took more than half home. I had the Cali Roadster burger which was just my size (smaller than the traditional burgers) with avocado slices , garlic aioli and pepper jack cheese. Yummy but slightly messy wouldn't ask for that on a business lunch. The kid got Mac and cheese with some grilled chicken and mom a bison burger. Zero complaints. It was a nice first time experience. They don't take reservations. After about 10 minutes my friend and I plus 3 teens (my kids and a friend) were starving and Schnitzels was loud and crowded. We headed a few doors down to Sweet Mama's. Seated immediately. My friend and I shared the steak with penne dinner special and a Cobb salad with grilled chicken. My daughter ordered penne with butter off the kids menu. My son got a turkey burger and his friend got a grilled chicken sandwich on a hero instead of a wrap. Now the good -- portions were huge! My son could barely fit his burger in his mouth and it also had a half avocado on it. They didn't skimp. Steak with penne was delicious and so was the Cobb salad. We all shared off each other's plates because everything looked so amazing. Now the bad. My daughter's pasta was elbows, not penne as indicated on the menu. Not a catastrophe but she was looking forward to penne. Then - my son's friend put some ketchup on his plate for his fries. It was ,.. not red but brown. The bottle had an 8/25 expiration. We are in April 2026. We told the server and she said it's because it's the "simply ketchup" with no artificial dyes. She offered him ketchup packets "with fake dyes" but by that point he lost his appetite for fries. We grabbed ketchup from another table, same brand, Heinz Simply. You can see the difference in color. We showed the server and she acted annoyed. I told her we didn't want anyone getting sick on that ketchup and pointed out the expiration date. She rolled her eyes and said "oh I'll just throw it away." She kind of had an attitude and didn't even apologize. So that's why 4 stars. We'd go back but request not to have that server. The food is fantastic but watch your ketchup! If someone put it on a burger it would have been ruined.

Not terrible, but also not memorable…read more Sweet Mama's is a hybrid concept tucked away in the adorable Stony Brook Village. On one end, ice cream. In the middle, restaurant, and towards the back, a bar. Surprisingly at 11am, for a table of four, we waited about 10 mins for a table. We ordered a variety of things, from soup, to bennys and a mimosa flight. The mimosa flight was very cute but mine ended up tasting just like white wine. The real disappointment imo was the Belgian Waffle. Now I know, part of this is my fault, for expecting more than what the description laid out. But for $12 I got one crispy and tender waffle with powdered sugar and that was it. No side of fruit, no home fries, nothing. Everyone else enjoyed their food, which I was happy about! And service was wonderful. But for $12 for one waffle, this place may be a biiiiiiit overpriced for my liking.

I had the yogurt with blueberry filling, pineapple, and grapes -- it tasted exactly as it looks, clean and simple. The caffè latte used Paramount Coffee's "The Perfect" beans; the shot was dark and strong at first, but once mixed it became smooth with a slight bitterness. The chicken Caesar salad bun with onion rings had a simple, healthy flavor but the portion was a bit small. Banana foster was more like a dessert than coffee, with a strong cinnamon note -- the banana flavor was subtle due to caramelization. You can add espresso if you want. Downsides: despite the name, it's not a good place to study. A lot of people come to eat, talk, hang out, and play games, so it's not quiet. Price-wise, coffee and drinks are reasonably priced, and milk swaps or small customizations aren't heavily charged, but food portions feel small for the price. They have a restroom, are wheelchair friendly, and they mentioned they own a roaster nearby and plan to start roasting their own beans soon. Overall, a solid spot with good vibes -- just not for quiet studying.
