He did finally do a once over chlorine wash, which I said well ok; now we are getting somewhere. Acid wash was supposed to be next, but after the chlorine wash he just kept on delaying and telling me his equipment broke, it is too windy, and just excuse after excuse. Long story short, this person took me for my deposit, did not finish the job, and I finally told him to just come back for his equipment as my pool was empty without water for well over 2 weeks almost 3. I should of gone with my gut feeling from the get go, but well here I am now with a bad service, hardly any communication... Well I guess he got a good payday for just draining my pool, a measily chlorine wash and no effort to make it right...I strongly advice against using this company, because once he gets your big deposit, he will make up excuses and will not finish the job!! One vendor even offered to put a turquoise tortoise--yes, an actual mosaic tortoise--at the bottom of my pool for an extra $3-4K. Did I want it? Absolutely not. Do I adore the phrase "turquoise tortoise"? Absolutely yes. In the end, I chose Waterscape, mostly because the pricing made sense, and the communication was quick and easy via text. My only real goal was simple: resurface the pool, update the tile, and keep the whole thing under $10K. Mission accomplished. They sent over a DocuSign, gave me a one‑week December timeline, and the whole thing ran like a well‑oiled (and extremely punctual) machine: Monday, 9am-12pm: Full demolition of the old plaster Wednesday, 9am-1pm: Tile installation Saturday, 9am-12pm: New plaster poured And just like that: Brand‑new pool! After that, I stuck to the four‑week maintenance plan--daily brushing, treating the water, and absolutely zero heating of the pool or spa. The solution to my septic plumbing ordeal began when I called Cisneros Bros. in the middle of the night meaning to leave a message, but surprisingly, after several calls (accidentally called several times in my stress) an actual person answered the phone. Nicole (who answered) must have guessed it was urgent even if after hours. The next day, I met Nathan Knapp who walked me through every single step the crew would take. (Thank you crew!). I was helping my parents with this -- their septic tank broke into a foul river of waste in their front yard. Neighbors called the city for help, we were cited to fix things immediately, and almost $18,000 later it has been fixed. I could not pay ANY company this amount without understanding what in fact they were fixing, how, and the different options. Apparently for many decades, we were not meeting city codes (we didn't know until this septic tank disaster). The cheaper options to "fix" the septic mess weren't really an option because the city citation did not allow the cheaper fixes, but also because we truly needed a major fix. Nathan and the crew (Jeff, Victor and Rogelio) were super hardworking at pumping out the tank and Victor luckily spoke Spanish who could better explain things to my dad. It's hard to pay a bill like this, but I recognize the value of it -- it was necessary, and I really don't think it would have been cheaper or done better by others.
