HIGHWAY ROBBERY. They turned a 5-$600 job into a $3,0000…read moreBeen going there for years (pre covid) and getting exactly what I wanted from them. Recently they changed their attitude. I took my truck in for a basic brake line replacement. I need just 2 lines replaced I also told them I planned to do more work myself later, but I had been sick for 2 months and didn't feel like doing THAT job myself, as it involved literally crawling around on my back. Other related items were much easier and I could/was willing do those. They called me days later and said they either going to replace every line needed or they are not going to do the job. 1. I had driven the truck there totally using the parking brake to stop and didn't want to risk driving it anywhere else 2. Nothing else was wrong with the truck 3. I decided that having all the lines showing damage would be better to get it done and over with.... So I agreed to let them do the work It had been almost a month and they finally called and told me the truck was ready and the bill was $1,000 over what they stated on the phone. Yes.. sometimes you get more damage from taking out old lines and more needs to be done..... however they replaced things that were not even related. I have been working on cars for 40 years and never seen a job milked like this 1. They replaced the break pads and a rotor... not related to the job they agreed to and were working fine, and I've done plenty myself when the time actually was needed 2.They replace both wheel cylinders in the back that were also fine. 3. All this means extra hours of work pulling tires, calipers, drums and rotors... when the wheels didn't even needed to be removed for the repairs, removing the tires would only allow easier access and that's all that's needed. 4. I also feel air still in the line, a feeling I'm very familiar with. That's bad 5. The break light (that tells you, you have a problem) didn't go out when I was driving it. (further indication of air in the line) 6. They also replace lines that I inspected, myself and were perfectly fine. 7. They DIDN'T give me back my old parts that I specifically asked for when I agreed to the work being done, so that way I can't inspect them for myself. 8. I also had them replace a part that engages the 4x4 mode.... The truck does not go into 4x4 mode after they did the work. 9. This all tells me they milked the job for all it was worth... and didn't even properly test anything before giving it back to me... or worse, they possibly did damage to the 4x4 drive to get me back in for more repairs. I have 2 other cars that need thousands of dollars of work but I won't be going back. I've seen shade tree mechanics do way better. I also have 2 other cars that need a few thousand dollars in work..... Sadly, the only time I plan on dealing with them is with my lawyer standing next to me. Since I have to talk with him about a personal matter of mine... I will be discussing this case with him as well.

our car shut down suddenly, so I had it towed to Driven Automotive. They had it for a couple days,…read moreI spent $249 & they couldn't find out what was wrong with. I had a friend of a neighbor look at it. It was a loose battery cable! I know very little about cars, but I know a battery cable has to be tight if you have electrical trouble! They are completely incompetent.
