We met a friend for an early dinner before returning to NYC…read more The dining room had a welcoming fireplace since we dared go out to dinner on the coldest day of the 2026 season. Shared three appetizers: grilled octopus, Puntarelle salad and the mussels in a smoked tomato sauce. Everything was delicious but the mussels were superb. The entrees we tried were the gemelli, gnocchi with lamb neck and the paperdelle with duck ragu. These were also well prepared and tasty. We enjoyed a bottle of Oddero Nebiolo which enhanced every bite.

I arrived 30 minutes early and was seated at a table promptly. I stared with the mussels and I am so glad I did. The presentation was superb. When the cover was lifted, the most aromatic smell of smoke and tarragon ignited my senses. The mussels were cleansed well and some were very large. The toasted sesame bread was perfect for the delicious garlic / tomatoe sauce it was paid with a white that was crisp and light and perfect for the dish. If that wasn't enough, the pour was very generous. I moved to the gnocchi with ox tail. There were large pieces of meat which complimented the soft gnocchi well. It was paired with a different wine. That wine was good on its own but better with the meal. I ended up taking most of the dish home. I ended with a chocolate chip and one pistachio cannolli. They were freshly stuffed so the shell was crisp. Delicious!

We were in Rye for a show and saw an advertisement for the French onion soup on Instagram. We were…read moresold. We came for the soup but LOVED every dish. The soup was delicious and isn't on the regular menu but instead a special item. We tried the Cuban sandwich and the Steak sandwich both with the sweet potato fries. The sandwiches and fries were delicious. The star of the show was the beer battered pickles. OMG...so good. This place is found in a cute little neighborhood. The bar looked like it was full of regulars. The staff were very friendly. This hidden gem is a must try!

So my good friend brought me here yesterday for the first time for my birthday . We had a…read morereservation, but still waited about 20 minutes to be seated . Place was packed to the rafters, which for me is always a good sign . Our waiters were Beth and Ashley . For me they were absolutely stellar in every way possible one could want from a service staff especially when the place is packed . They're were the All stars in my book . As for the food , I had the fried chicken sandwich and I was not disappointed . Absolutely delicious. My first time having fried pickles and I am hooked . Collard greens delicious . Fried calamari cooked to perfection. My old-fashioned drink was enjoyable . If I'm knit picking, I would say it could've been a little more balanced, but again, not disappointed. Good food, great ambience and the place just had a very welcoming and warm feeling what more could a customer want? This is definitely a place I'll be returning too and I strongly recommend anyone to give them a try and see for yourself. Restaurants are such a tough business, but this place gets it and they deserve all the success that may comes their way.

I met a group of friends here for dinner. It was the first time for all of us. We started off with…read moresome meatballs, a couple of different types of salads and a truffle pizza. The pizza was good, with a nice crispy crust. The salads were fresh, a little bit on the smaller side, but OK. For entrées, we ordered three or four more pizzas of various types, and I got the chicken Parmesan entree. The pizzas were good, but definitely small for the price. Chicken Parm was good, but again, a very small portion. I had planned on sharing it with my husband, thinking it would be large and butterflied. there was a lot more spaghetti on the side than there was chicken. Service was OK at best. It was a bit annoying to have to order everything at once, both appetizers and entrées at the same time. When you're at a new restaurant, it's good to start with a few different appetizers, and then figure out what you would like for main courses. We didn't get that opportunity. The problem with the service was the inconsistency. Some people got entrées, other people didn't get anything. It took 15 minutes for me to get a drink that I had ordered. Other people at the table got their drinks, but one beer bottle at a time would come into the room when several were ordered. It's not like the restaurant was packed. It was far from busy. Obviously there's wait staff problems and busboy problems. We had to yell multiple times at one of the servers because she picked up a full glass of sangria and tried to take it away. She also took my friends salad away without her being finished with it. All in all, the pizza is good, a little too pricey for what it is, and the servers, the hostess really need to be better at their jobs and need more training.

We were told the chicken scarp was spicy but that was not the case. It also included potatoes with a strange texture that was both mushy and tough. The burger was very greasy, and slid all over the bun with rubbery lettuce. We were excited to try this place for the first time but we will not be returning. Not a single person in my party finished their meal and we are foodies and love to eat.

One star for good food and wine (the cheese/charcuterie board is an excellent value and the…read moreboquerones are tasty) , but the service is terrible. We're a local family that made it a point to come to dinner here at least once a month but our last visit was the last nail in the coffin. The younger waitress has never once smiled and has is always been all business but at least she doesn't bully and antagonize her tables. The chef was gruff, rude, and treated us noticeably different from all of the tables. When he brought out our bottle of wine and I said "yay that looks great!" he paused, gave me a dirty look, and said "you're determined not to have a good time, aren't you?"-- despite this being the first thing I said to him and his waitstaff directly beyond our order. Shocked, and not wanting to ruin the dinner for my dining companion, I brushed it off, but promised myself I would not return. The chef makes it a habit to complain about how busy he is, how understaffed he is, but also how long people take at tables-- and also seemingly makes arbitrary decisions about who and what he takes offense to. If the chef stays in the kitchen and gets waitstaff that understand what providing good customer service for -everyone- looks like, we'll be back, but at this rate and reading other reviews it looks like pigs will fly before that happens!

The owner runs the front of house while his wife cooks in the kitchen, and together they create an experience that feels personal, warm, and authentically Spanish. The food was phenomenal. We shared a mixed cheese and meat board to start. Then came the ham croquetas (the flavor changes daily, and we lucked out with my favorite), mini albóndigas (tender beef meatballs in tomato sauce) and champiñones (mushrooms in a rich brandy sauce). Every dish was flavorful and felt homemade. For dessert, we had the Torta de Santiago (almond cake), which was the special of the day -- light, nutty, and the perfect finish. The service was amazing. If you're looking for authentic Spanish tapas, this place is a must-try.
