We had their Nachos, meatballs, beef tips and turkey sandwiches, everything was tasty and reasonably priced. The service was excellent and ambiance is good for a family. Plenty of TVs to watch the Patriots or the bruins. read more

Food is always good, good service and I recently enjoyed their brunch as well! Highly recommend!

Had high hopes for the place. Not a fan. Don't know what the hype was. The quality of food was not good. The place was busy. The appetizers were the only thing we liked. read more

They have the best food!! The service was great and good atmosphere. Definitely going back there!

So my husband and I ordered 2 steak tip greek salads to go. This was our first experience with Friendly Reds Tavern. The salads were very tiny and not well Made. They did not have the ingredience as was stated in description. Mainly a small amount of lettuce, 4 huge red onion rings, 2 soggy grape tomatoes cute in half, few tiny piece of cucumber, no Kalamata olives. e was a tiny amount of feta cheese. The steak was ok in itself. The dressing was half full. It actually was enough, given the tiny salad size. Not even a piece of pita bread to go along with the salad! The salads were 25 dollars a piece. Even in todays world that was extremely over priced. Was looking forward to an enjoyable dinner. That was not to be. read more

Just had dinner here for the first time and I can't wait to go back. The Italian egg rolls are like mini muffuletta's, yummy Our meals were all delicious and brought out all at the same time. Out waitress was amazing with a great sense of humor. Service was prompt and our special request were taken without an eye roll. The place is big, bright and spotless. I will return. read more

Amazing quality! Meatball crocks are 10/10. Chicken is also great. The service here is also great. Very friendly down to earth people. Great drinks at the bar. Nice menu, nice environment! Very clean. Takeout quality is also just as good! They pack the food to ensure it's hot when it arrives home. Very happy with this place. read more

Ordered only through Door Dash, so I can only comment on the quality of food. Incredible and was ready for my door dasher to pick up relatively quick. I ordered on New Year's Eve by the way. 5 out 5. Try their burger melt read more

We have been to the new Friendy Red's in Derry a few times now since they have opened and was waiting to write this review. I will say that they have the best beer prices around, drafts are $2 and a bucket of 5 beers are $10. a Large plain cheese pizza is $10. The bar has a nice set up, the bar seating is very tight, they sqeezed in to many seats, We sat at the end where the lottery ticket machine is and there are five seats where there should be four. Derry needs to look at the seating capacity there. The rest of the restaurant looks like a big white box. The dining room has a feeling of like being in a prison cell, it's all white with no atmosphere at all! They need to correct this. I will say the outside patio came out very nice with tv's. The food has been good and consistant but! Ordered the house steak tips last night for the first time, for $27.00 there was five little steak bites, four pieces of small potatoes and some mixed vegtables. They did have good flavor and was over cooked as we asked for medium rare and they came out well done! We would've informed the bartender but he disappeared for fiffteen minutes and someone from the kitchen brought out our food, when he finally returned he went to set us up again and said our food should be right out! Back to the steak bites, a couple next to us also ordered the steak tips, he was able to ask the bartender about the small portion which was the same portion we received. The bartender was trying to inform him that he does not know the portion size and said sometimes they are small. A few minutes later someone in a gray shiet came out and gave him five more steak tips which was large and explained that he saw the portion going out and said it was small. Guess he did not expidite our order. I was going to say something to him but we had already eaten, someone else cleaned the plates from the bar. We paid our bill and as we walked out I looked for the manager and could not find anyone on the floor or at the front door. In closing, if you order the steak tips (bites) I would ask about the portion! If you want a cheap night out, get a $10 bucket of beer and $10 pizza you cant go wrong, and they dont' shut you off. I have seen poeple over served there that can't walk and get in a car and drive away. Guess this is the place to go! read more

The restaurant was very loud the night we went in. We were a party of 4 and we had a 45 minute wait for a booth/table. The food order (3 out of 4 came out wrong) - waiter blamed the kitchen- one dish was over cooked, one dish was wrong completely and one dish had wrong sides. Food was good once they got it right! read more

I was going to write out a long explanation but I am not sure it would matter so let's just do this: 1. Hot food comes out of the pass HOT! Not a mixture of cold fries with a hot burger or a soggy, room temp hot pastrami mess of congealed, once melted cheese. If the kitchen can't keep the orders together and get them to the pass TOGETHER & HOT, find a new kitchen staff. 2. If you are going to hire a staff of frat boys, teach them to exercise proper hygiene and to congregate out of sight of the guests. At least that way being ignored would not be so insulting. 3. I get it, you are a bar (tavern), so there is a certain atmosphere you need to attract the mid-afternoon bar crowd. Although it would be better for those in the dining room if the music wasn't so loud as to make conversation difficult. 4. Food comes out in the order it was placed! We waited over 20 minutes for a burger and pastrami sandwich while we watched food being delivered to tables who were sat well after us. OBTW: we all had the same wait staff person so... 5. I will give kudos for consistency though. We waited nearly as long for the wait staff person to bring our check as we did for the food. Then she followed up by ignoring the fact that I had placed my card in the holder. We finally gave up and just left cash. In short, the FOH is undisciplined and disorganized while the BOH is obviously troubled. But hey, the men's restroom was filthy so there's that. If you can't clean a restroom, how could you possibly clean the food service areas? Maybe Hudson will be better? read more

My children took me to dinner here! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was very welcoming. But the service from the staff was what made the experience so enjoyable. Especially Our Waiter Jake It was our first time there and we will be back read more

See all

Went to Reds today after work at 5pm ish. Went with 2 other coworkers . We were greeted immediately and shown to a table. We would have preferred the lounge atmosphere but tables were not available. Upon being seated we were greeted by our server, Debbie. She was very friendly and informative. Her recommendations were very good. Two of us had the Baked Haddock. Very very good. Fresh and so flavorful. The menu offers mashed potatoes, seasoned potatoes. They had none of these. But there French Fries are homemade and fabulous! The third person had Mac N Cheese. It did not disappoint. Very good. Overall, cocktails were fabulous, good was excellent, Debbie was GREAT! Wish we could have sat in bar area. Atmosphere is a bit strange, but will not stop us from going back. Welcome to Derry and THANK YOU!!! read more

First time being at Friendly Reds and we had a great time. The staff was awesome from the bartenders to the waitresses to the manager. I will definitely be back and I will tell all my friends what a great restaurant this is to have a good time and enjoy well made drinks and delicious food and service! Can't wait to go back! read more

Such delicious food, always rich and hearty without being the least bit 'heavy'. Can't recommend them enough. So many different options on the menu, and the ingredients they use are always of such quality. read more

Ok I love Reds in Windham. I've been going there for years but tonight I wanted to check out the new digs. We were able to score bar seats after about 20 minutes. Both my husband and I ordered drinks, and salads as a meal right away. The place was busy so we were very patient. After about another 30 minutes the bartender asked us to please be patient as the kitchen was very busy. About another 30-45 minutes later we SAW her check the order system and we witnessed that there was no food order put in for us!!! She asked us to "remind her" what we had ordered. After that she disappeared for 10 minutes and told us we would have our food in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later a person form the kitchen came out to apologize and tell us the food was on its way. After 2 full hours for the time of order we got our 2 salads. People who came in long after us had already eaten and left. We ate quickly, paid and left. The WORST EXPERIENCE. Fake excuses. I would've been happier if she said she made a mistake and just owned up to it. BAD. BAD. BAD. read more

Second location for this restaurant (other in Windham). Completely remodeled the former Derry Restaurant and Pizza building. Clearly looking for a different clientele than the prior restaurant. Decor is now modern, dark (especially bar side), sterile, and VERY noisy with loud music thus staff and guests need to yell at each other. Seating is really all high tops except the greatly expanded patio seating ( which overlooks Rt 102 and it's traffic). This is not a family restaurant for a nice friendly dinner with good drinks. It is now a loud bar with gambling and reasonably good food. You could call it a 'watering hole' now. Some will like the loud ambience- generally I do not. The service was good but lots of training of new people however with 2 serves assigned to our table service wasn't any better. The seasoned server kept talking to other servers rather than the customers. The trainee did well by herself. Food was ok. French fries were awful- thin and greasy/ overcooked. Seafood (haddock) was nice, tarter sauce nothing special. Crab cakes mostly filler. Chicken fingers good but also had a breading taste that wasn't pleasant. A few sauces to select from for the chicken fingers. If you know the Windham location you know the new Derry location only more modern and sterile. read more

Still catching up their original location, nut a good upgrade from the restaurant that used to be there. Nice addition to Derry.

My family and I visited today on a whim and it was fantastic. Food was all very good and fresh. The service was was outstanding from the hostess to the waitress. Attentive and helpful staff! If I had to find anything to say less then positive is that the AC was intense. read more

Food was average. Service she was great. Ambiance was something I couldn't figure out. We sat in dinning area, not the bar side. Strange seating it was like you were sitting in a long hallway. One side windows to outside deck. Other side just a blank wall. I would think that blank wall should have some glass so we feel like customers are part of the place. We sat at end and FROZE ourselves. Even the server said cold down here, didn't need to request to have some heat, I figured she would say something to management, so we put on all our winter gear, yes kids put there winter coats back on. First time there. Don't know if kids are allowed in bar section figuring they didn't ask what side. Will go back and try other side see how it works out read more

Place the ad hopping busy as expected their first week. Parking is limited, drink was good. Food was good although it says grilled Asian chicken for the salad, it was coated and pretty sure deep fried. Good but not the healthy choice I thought I was getting. Staff did great for being so busy. Friendly too. read more

Great staff, super friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. I had the steak tip salad. It was delicious! My husband had a muffuletta, which he also raved about. We ate on the patio, which was really nice , clean and roomy. I would definitely eat here again! read more

Has a delicious breakfast! Waitress was great I will be back time and again! The line is always long but moves fast! I love it here

First time at this restaurant after it changed from Derry House of Pizza. The outdoor patio is nice, but the outdoor deck previously there was sufficient as well. The Hostess and Server were friendly and prompt. The food, bland. My mac and cheese with chicken was almost tasteless. My husband had chicken on a salad, just ok, hard to mess up salad. Their predecessors had better food so I won't rush back here. read more

My husband and I went here tonight and were seated at a table quickly as the restaurant was not very busy. We sat at our table for over 20 minutes with waiters and waitresses walking past us, not even greeted. We walked out and couldn't even get anyone's attention to let them know we were leaving. If zero stars were an option that's what I'd give this place. I've never seen such terrible service. read more

The place was like an ice box. Way to cold. Had to wait over 30 minutes for food and the portions were very small. Food was good but very small. Probably will not return read more

All staff is very friendly Jill and Joe was our waiter, the food is excellent would recommend to friends and family.

We were there on July 31st with friends. It was around 5pm Not to crowed we ordered our dinner. After ordering it was about 15 minutes we were told that you did not have corned beef. So he then asked for steak tips. No problem... Our meals come out and my husband ordered steak tips with Potatoe Fries. When his meal was delivered he was given Rice no Potatoes and we asked why we were told ran out of Potatoes. They also gave him broccoli instead of asparagus. We were early and they did not have food on the menu for customers. Disappointed read more
