Disgusting. Sheets were dirty so I went up to the front office and asked for clean set of sheets. Went to strip the bed down I saw the mattress pad cover disgusting. So I laid the bedspread on top and then a sheet on top of that and I had was a sheet to put on top of me. I laid there for about an hour and got up and left to find a better place to stay. This place is clean and the staff are friendly. The beds are comfortable. There are laundry facilities. The towels are surprisingly fluffy, not at all like the usual motel linen. Wifi is available and speedy. Breakfast is cereal, milk, orange juice, yogurt, coffee, and a couple of pieces of fruit. Comparable to a Motel 6, almost as nice as a LaQuinta, very nice for the price. Note that management changed in the fall of 2015, so reviews before that are dated. read more

Stopped here. Looks nothing like pics. Says takes debit cards made me pay cash and had to ask several times for a receipt. Got a non smoking room but comforter stunk of cig smoke and had burns all over it. Towels had nasty hair in them and shower curtain was o so nasty, this is more a pay by hour motel. Girl at front sat outside with some nasty girls that were staying there. They do nothing about the ghetto people that stand out and drink all night screaming and hollering I had to be up at 5 am for work, a concert most of the patrons found foreign I'm sure. This place is nasty. Spend a few extra dollars. Only good is water is hot and ac was cold. read more

I found the Friendly Inn through Yelp, while on a road trip, and seeking a place to just sleep for the night. I was with my husband and two young kids, so my main concerns were price, proximity to I-10, cleanliness, and an AC with a controllable thermostat as opposed to the kind that just have "levels" of intense air that never stop blasting, or making noise. Friendly Inn did not disappoint. Don't expect the W Hotel here folks: for a room with two queen-sized beds at a very low price, you're not going to get fancy decor, but that's fine by me. The room was pleasantly decorated, and was definitely clean, bug-free, quiet, and had a great AC. The staff was friendly as well. Definitely the right choice for the right price if you need to sleep during a road trip! read more

There are good and bad things about this hotel. I have to say that for whatever reason I had the best nights sleep I have had on our cross country road trip yet. The pillows were fluffy and the blankets were warm. I was just really comfortable in our king bed in a non smoking room. I also liked the fact that there were security cameras everywhere. It made it feel a bit safer than other motels we've stayed at. The hotel was on the cleaner side as well. The lights in the bathroom only turned on once, right when we got there and never turned on again so we either had to use the restroom in the dark or with the door open. The tv was very fuzzy so we just watched Netflix on our phones before bed. The shower sprayed water in every direction other than at your body, and the shower head was very low so I had to bend down to wash my hair. I am only 5'8 and I don't usually have that problem. I would stay here again if I had to, the price was fine for what we got. read more

The stars were for the check in clerk (she deserves 5) but the room was really just a place to rest our heads & shower as we are truck drivers & the area is flooded. The hotel is older and needs updating. The dresser in the room had a broken and missing drawer, the shower had a moldy curtain, there were pubic hairs in shower and toilet and on wash cloth. There was one old small set of towels. The pillow case was put on inside out and crooked, there were what looked like small blood spots on the underside of the bedspread and the room smelled like Lysol! So needless to say this is a review not a complaint, so you make the call. read more

Friendly staff, lots of parking lot lights, and cameras everywhere. This definitely created a safe environment. For 60 bucks I got a queen room with a small tv but big enough, mini fridge, microwave, towels and all the amenities you could need. We will definitely be back. read more

One of the cleanest places I have every been. Located right off of I-12. We got the room for a low rate. If you are planning on staying in town for a while this is one of the best deals. We was looking for a smaller type place that wouldn't break the bank & was clean after last night in a hot mess of a high dollar place. The lady at the desk was really nice. We asked to see the room before we paid & she didn't mind showing us. The room is CLEAN ! Very clean ! Price was really good also. A housekeeping lady past me on the walk way & greeted us. I didn't even have to walk all the way into,the room to smell the clean ! Will stay here again when we pass Hammond La again. read more

On our way down to New Orleans from Kansas City we decided to stop just outside of the city (rather than kill each other from confined proximity for 14 hours). We called around a few places and found the Friendly Inn Inc had a room for the low price of 55 dollars. This was a little more than we were hoping but it was a necessary evil if we were to enjoy New Orleans at all upon arrival. The staff was super friendly and check in was easy. It was the first time either of us had been given our TV remote upon check in. The room was small but really clean. Everything worked well, except local delivery places. The places they advertised wouldn't answer the phone at 11 on a Friday night. However, in comparison to some cheap motels we've previously stayed in this was a pleasant change. The next morning, however, we hit a slump. We woke up at 7 to the banging of the maintenance man in the room adjacent room to ours. We had been warned this may happen the night before, which would not have been ideal but we would have been fine with. 7 AM however was not fine. My boyfriend banged on the wall and politely yelled "can you wait just an hour or so." They promptly stopped. Once we woke up we got some cereal and juice which was nice. However, the shower only stayed hot for about 7 minutes. Then it was freezing. Overall, the stay was good with only a couple hiccups. If you're in a pinch, I'd recommend the Friendly Inn - also, we're no longer tense in the car which means the friendliness wore off. :) read more

Ouldnt finish getting airport directions. Office of no help to get internet. Froze all my produce in frig. Had spider in the bed. Was not super clean as advertised. read more

Compare to other road crashing motels I've been to, this place is a must stop if you need to crash while road tripping between Baton Rouge,LA & Mobile, AL on I10. I'm on a road trip alone from Florida to California for business purposes and have very least interest in exploring big cities and stuff so instead of drive one more hour to BR, I stopped here for a quick rest. Cheap room with all things you'll need and free decent wifi (might freeze for like 3' once in a while). I stopped here after filling my tank at the gas station near the entrance & pick up a 6pack of budlight. Arrived at around 6, took a single smoking room for $60, guy at the front desk kinda talked with an unwelcoming vibe but he did his job right so no real complain here. Room is nice and clean, very warm blanket and good enough pillows & mattress, even though this is a smoking room, the odor level is very low. It had a microwave, wall mounted flat screen TV, small dining table with 2 chairs, a fridge and all the stuff you need, all in good and fairly new condition. Hot water was awesome,nothing better than a bath after an exhausted driving day. Location is good too, right off I10 exit, near gas stations and food joints. They have security cameras allover the parking so its secured, plus theres a laundry room and free breakfast. read more

You do get what you pay for here. Check in was easy, yes. Our first room was so-so on the clean scale but the AC did not work so had to go back to get another room. Staff didn't seem too thrilled that I wanted to change because of that. (A working AC is a must in the south) Our non-smoking room wreaked of a smoker and someone had stuck car vent air fresheners onto the AC to attempt to mask it. Walls are paper thin, don't think you're having a private conversation...teenager had fun with it though and turn up the volume a little while watching the Walking Dead marathon. Although slept fully dressed on top of the sheets (bedding wreaked of smoke), did sleep comfortably and soundly. Would recommend the Owners do a walk through periodically after housekeeping or while housekeeping is working...hint hint! read more

Wow I was pleasantly surprised by this place! We were exhausted from a long road trip and needed a place to rest. For just $60 we got 2 double beds, clean bathroom, fridge, microwave, table and chairs etc. Great deal! The staff is very friendly, lots of parking and rooms very clean! Oh and don't forget the comfortable beds! I totally recommend you stay here if you need a cheap place to rest! read more

My husband and I stayed at this hotel with a couple of friends. We all had bites all over. I checked the bed closely and I was appalled at what I saw.... Bed bugs..I told the manager. She was very rude and seem to not care. She talked to me like I was a low life. She was nice to a lady in front of me who was white and I am African American. HORRIBLE! Anything but friendly! The woman at the front desk/window is a complete ass. After traveling from Missouri at 1pm non stop we decided to stop for the night (about 1030) in Hammond. CALLED AHEAD to the "friendly inn" and were quoted $32.xx - not looking for luxury since we would be using it for a bit of shut eye before proceeding to AZ. So the price was fine. Also one of the reasons we didn't pay $80+ for surrounding hotels. We arrived (literally 4 minutes after we called) we approach the window and the gentleman we spoke to on the phone greeted us. The woman quickly intervened and asked what she could help with. We advised we wanted a rm for the night, she quoted $69 plus tax. We explained that we just called and were told $32. She laughed hysterically in our faces and said " it's not $32 for you " we told her we spoke to the gentleman and even confirmed the price 3 different times!! She continually laughs and the man denies the conversation took place. After my fiancé comes back to the car and fills me in on what's going on, I CALLED THEM FROM THE PARKING LOT & I WAS QUOTED $32! These people are ridiculous. Needless to say we pushed on down the road to another hotel and were better served. Will NEVER stop here again! read more
