If you want a lovely and relaxing place to stay then the Camellia House is it! It's so beautiful and clean. It's a very easy walk to delicious restaurants and shopping. Linda was so accommodating and gave tons of great ideas for places to eat and things to do locally. We also loved that she uses Young Living essential oils in the rooms and for cleaning...I'm kind of partial though:) A+ place to stay guys!

My stay in the Petite Room was fantastic! It is lovely and bright! Linda and Don are so endearing, they made me feel right at home! This a great place, I so enjoyed rocking on the front porch reading my book! I highly recommend the Camellia House B&B!

This B&B is purely amazing. We were greeted with a friendly smile and guided to our king suite by the sweetest lady I've had the pleasure of meeting. The room was beautiful. And it had an on suite separate breakfast area over looking the hot tub and pool. Speaking of the hot tub it was perfect for a December night, and the privacy of this place makes you feel it's just you and your significant other. This is an amazing place. We will return again. Just wonderful.

Linda even had the water for the coffee pot all measured out so we didn't have to figure anything out ourselves.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel…read more Upon arrival, the front desk attendant was repeatedly hacking and coughing and appeared visibly ill. It was not the first impression I expected when checking into a hotel. Unfortunately, the room itself was also disappointing. The carpet was dirty, there was an old cough drop and a granola bar underneath the bed, and the air vent blew dust into the room when it turned on. These issues made me question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned before our stay. To make matters worse, there was a wedding taking place at the hotel, and the reception appeared to be directly outside our room. The music was extremely loud and continued until around 9:30 p.m. Traveling with a small child, this made bedtime difficult and significantly impacted our experience. The restaurant experience was equally frustrating. I ordered chicken tenders for my child, but they arrived covered in a spicy buffalo-style sauce, making them inedible for a young child. I charged the meal to my room and only discovered several days later, after requesting an itemized receipt, that a 22% tip charge had been added. I was never informed of this 22% tip charge when ordering. When I called to ask about it, the manager explained that the 22% charge was for room service tip. However, the food was never delivered to my room. I was required to walk to the restaurant and pick it up myself. While I didn't mind retrieving the food, I do mind being charged a substantial tip for a service that wasn't provided. To make matters worse, my hands were full carrying three drinks and a bag of food back to the room, and one of the overfilled drinks spilled along the way. I also spoke directly with the hotel manager regarding the 22% tip charge. I explained that I was never informed ahead of time that this charge would be added and that the food was not actually delivered to my room. Instead, I had to walk to the restaurant and pick it up myself. The manager did not seem concerned that I was being charged what was described as a room service fee without receiving traditional room service. What bothered me most was not just the charge itself, but the lack of transparency and the apparent unwillingness to acknowledge why a guest might find that frustrating. If they had actually delivered the food themself I would have tipped more. The combination of the dirty room, excessive noise, unexpected charges, and poor dining experience made for a very disappointing stay. I would not stay here again and would not recommend either the hotel or the restaurant.

Corey is an amazing human being and absolutely refused to let me wheel my wheelchair across the street to the proper hotel! He is the epitome of a customer service professional! Instead of being ridiculed and bullied by the general manager at my original hotel NOT Holiday Inn for being handicapped, I actually switched. Precious Peter was so gracious as to help me with my luggage and help get to my room. I didn't have to ask much less beg like at other places. The general manager made me feel like family! If I could give 100 stars I would! Empathy, excellence, kindness AND impeccable rooms!

The booking experience was easy, and they will automatically ask if you want to join their rewards program to get a better price. I was given the approximate cost of my stay and booked it up. You can check in online and give an approximate arrival time. I chose 6pm, but at 11am that day, i was notified my room was ready. I still didn't arrive until six, but that was nice to know had my arrival time changed. They need to replace the sign along the highway pointing you to the hotel as the one they have is faded, and the street sign is not too visible, but it's easy enough. There is a spacious parking lot with plenty of parking near the door. Check in was easy, i just showed my ID and was given my card. The front desk employee was really friendly and welcoming. My king room was large and roomy. It was your typical room - bed, tv, fridge, chair, desk, closet (no safe), Krueig set up, the basics. There is no in-room microwave, rather, there is one per floor by the elevators and vending area. I had to turn the fridge on, so be sure to check that if you anything that needs to be kept cold. The bathroom is super tight for space. I mean, uncomfortably so. I was travelling solo, so i only had my things, but to get to the shower, you had to walk all the way in to close the door to walk around the toilet to get in the shower. I think that was a poor design. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. There was no road noise because you're about a block or so from the highway. While not the hotel's real fault, I was somehow placed among three rooms of young ladies attending a wedding who came back around midnight and were extremely loud with opening and closing the loud doors and yelling in the hallway. Not easy on the ears knowing I had a 4am wake up call for my race, but I didn't call to complain, and probably would have gone into the hallway to let them know had it gone on more than 15 minutes. I had to check out around 5:30am, and the restaurant looked like it was open, so that's nice. There was a note that the front desk person would return soon, but they have a key box, so i just dropped mine in there and headed out. The website says the pool is closed for maintenance with no expected reopen time, but I didn't try to go see if that was still accurate. Also, the price ended up being about $3 more than what my estimated price was, but no big deal, just be aware if you are expensing it for a trip. There are several restaurants and stores nearby, and downtown Covington is just a short drive away. Go a little further South, and you can explore the beautiful Mandeville lakefront area. The Northshore area truly is beautiful.

Upon arrival about 6:30 pm after a hard 9 hours of driving I had to knock on the wall to get someone to come to the front desk to check me in. There was no greeting, only a scowl as if I was troubling her when she finally appeared. There was no acknowledgement of my name or Marriott rewards status. Nothing. We got to our 3rd floor room and my key did not work. I went back down and got another. No apology. Went back up and that key did not work. Fortunately my wife's key did work and we got into the room. The room was ok except for the AC unit next to the bed which sounded like a 747 taking off every time it would start up. By then it was too late to change rooms and I had 0 confidence that the front desk person would be able to help us find another room. It was all an experience I hope to never repeat and I will avoid this property like the plague even though I travel through the area several times a year. Marriott definitely does not need angry employees serving customers, especially long term (over 40 years) loyal rewards members like me or anyone else.
