The property itself is lovely and very quiet, but my room was disappointing. The bed was sloppily made, with the sheets barely covering the mattress, which was surprising. I checked in online and used the digital key, so I never interacted with the front desk, and I checked out through the app without reviewing my bill. A few days later, I noticed a bar charge that wasn't mine. As a cancer survivor, I don't drink alcohol. I emailed the hotel manager right away to request a credit but received no response. When I contacted the Hilton helpline, they said the manager had confirmed the charge as valid. I pushed back, and about a week later the charge was finally reversed. It was only $17.30, but it was about the principle. Staff should verify names when posting charges to a room. Be sure to review your bill at checkout. read more

Don't stay here. The room was not cleaned well when we arrived. Trash and dirt on the floors, mirrors still gross from previous persons, bed looked quickly made so not confident it's thoroughly clean, no toilet paper on roll in bathroom and looked like a dirty towel in bathroom as well (had to request new towels from front desk). Front desk said we couldn't switch rooms since hotel is completely booked. We are traveling with our 3 little kids so we we're hoping for a clean room, but instead we are having them sleep on their air mattresses since we don't feel comfortable with the cleanliness of the beds. We initially booked a stay through American Express travel from 2 July 2025-11 July 2025. Circumstances changed and we tried to cancel the rest of the booking in-person at the hotel, starting around 8 am on 4 July 2025. We were told the front desk could not help us until the manager came in to authorize the cancellation, that we would be charged a $70 cancellation fee, and that we would likely have to pay for 1-2 more nights to make the cancellation window - all of this was acceptable. Unfortunately, none of this came to pass and thus started a Kafka-esque nightmare where no one can do anything without the approval of this manager who is impossible to get ahold of. We were able to return physically to the property once, have emailed the manager multiple times as no number has been provided for him, have called the property multiple times, have called big Hilton multiple times, have called Amex, and apparently nobody but this absent manager has the power to do anything. We were never able to cancel the room and have therefore paid for a hotel room we didn't use for 7 of the 10 days. Nobody seems much interested in solving this problem for us, which means this is not a safe property for people to book. Whatever else can be said about this property - the rooms are old, the beds not particularly comfortable, the pool disappointingly small - the true reason nobody should book with them is that they are incapable of fulfilling half of their responsibilities as hotel proprietors. We are not the first, nor will we be the last, to need to cut short a trip, and while I can excuse some difficulty in getting ahold of a manager over a holiday weekend, this has gone well beyond that. I really wasn't impressed with this hotel at all. I was in town for a wedding and we had to change rooms 3 times because each room had their own issues- the main one being air conditioning issues. Tub dirty Mattress was horrible. Like a summer camp or dorm room bunk bed. No coffee in lobby Offered to pay for it but, I was told they cannot make a pot at night per corporate orders... or so the desk clerk said. (Bartender made it on the sly ... hope he does not get in trouble.) Out of hair conditioner in room. Entire hotel out of the plastic dirty laundry bags for rooms. But here is the one you won't believe if you travel for business. Zero electrical outlets or usb ports on the work desk in lobby. That is correct. You have to sit in a chair or booth along the wall to power or charge your laptop, iPad or phone. Unbelievable. No USB ports in room at all. Hilton Garden Inn Mandeville: Fantastic property with even more fantastic staff! My mom, S. Lewis booked a one night stay on 7/16 at this hotel. Bethany at the front desk accommodated our adjoining rooms and numerous requests. We were traveling with two babies under 2 years old so the extra amenities, blankets were much appreciated. Chris the houseman was always quick and kind when he delivered our items. We enjoyed the spacious and clean rooms, AMAZING covered pool and outdoor hot tub. Breakfast was a real treat with fresh cooked meals for all our different taste buds. And the bubbly personality of Ashley on the breakfast team made our morning so fun! I have stayed at this hotel in the past and it was great. This stay was not the same experience. Our room was old and not well maintained. The drawers didn't close at all, our bathroom door would not shut close, so (no real privacy) and the mini fridge froze our drinks. The customer service was good and everyone was friendly. I was surprised when my family and I went to eat breakfast. They offered a continental buffet breakfast for $8 and a $12.95 made to order breakfast, what they don't tell you is that it only covers the eggs anything else such as bacon, potatoes, sausage are sold separately. (Crazy) I would have went to IHOP a couple of buildings down if I would have known. I was disappointed with our stay. Won't be staying here in the future. read more

When I asked if late check out was an option, the front desk worker snapped at my stating, "Absolutely not." The elevators are slow, and there isn't enough parking. I stayed here two nights in early February while in town for a funeral. It was clean, secure and had great internet speed for working. They did have grab and go breakfast options even with COVID limitations, and you could pick up extra in room supplies from the front desk. This is convenient location near I-12 but hidden enough off the service road behind Movie House and Eatery that it's quiet. read more

Horrible place! We where so happy to find a dog friendly hotel after being evicted due to the sale of our home. After 3 days with a Jr Suite and a double room they kicked us out with one hour notice and threatened police presence due to too many dogs. We have 3 under 7 lbs a jack Russel and a labradoodle. We had to sleep in our car! Humiliating to say the least. Don't stay here it's dirty to begin with and no housekeeping. What a joke to hold the Hilton name. It's a roach motel at best. Airbnb all the way, fraction of the cost, beautiful home with fenced yard and no ridiculous threats! This is why they will destroy the hotel business. read more

Well just hung up with the Manger Cathy and I've been trying to deal with our stay since December 27-29, 2019. A survey was sent to me by email two days after we left this property. On January 2 I responded. On January 3rd I got a response by email from guest services. I responded asking for an email address I could mail pictures to. Never hear again. II sent pictures on January 16, to the email that was on the response from January 3. Hopefully I'd get a response NOPE. NADA, NOTHING. So on January 23, I called a phone number and spoke to Christine at Guest Services for Hilton. She said she sees my email that was sent with pictures on the 16th of January. Said she'd forward them but no response ever occurred. So two days ago I call the Covington location now to talk to the general manager Cathy that day but she had left for the day. Today I finally speak to her and she tells me she never got the email with my pictures. Said the grounds are like they are because they lost their ground keeper. These grounds looked like this in May of 2019. Here's pictures of the emails and dates. And if the horrible grounds. I traveled with our White dog a little Maltesse and she could walk because the grounds were filthy. See for yourself. Won't stay here again two strikes and you're out. Hands down the most disgusting hotel I've stayed in!! I've stayed at many Hilton's in the past, including our of the US, and NEVER have I dealt with such a disgusting room. On one of our mattress theres what looks like blood on the head and side of the mattress, and there was nasty little black bugs all over the restroom!! I have videos of everything, I came for a wedding and my stay was from 7/30/21-8/2/21 in room 321. I just want a refund, I would expect this from a motel 6, but not a Hilton!! The room was nasty.. Stains all over the carpet. I spilled water and used a towel to soak it up. The towel was black from dirt on the carpet. I did not walk anywhere in the room without shoes due to the nasty carpet!! The room smelled musty. Bed side table and tv looked like they were wiped down with a dirty cloth and had smears of something across them. The bed sucked, the worst bed I have ever slept in, one side of the bed was broken and would not air up. (Never have I ever seen a bed that needed to be aired up in a hotel!!) I felt sorry for the employees as they were short staffed. Only 2 positive things.. Front desk was very friendly. The bathroom was the only room clean. First of all, I don't know how the previous reviews rated this place so low. I have stayed here a total of 6 days. The staff went above beyond, especially the manager Gaby. Each time I stayed here, I felt the immeasurable hospitality along with the outstanding customer service. Location The location is horrible. There's no signage to direct you from HWY 190. It's behind a movie theater that is not easily seen from the main street. I had to make a few U-turns to find this location. However, so MANY eateries near by to choose from and stores to shop. (Minus 1 star) Room/Cleanliness Rooms are clean, stocked and smells fresh upon entering the room. Each room has a Keurig, microwave, and refrigerator. I normally stock up on snacks to avoid buying them down stairs. Parking Plenty of parking (front & back) and free Shuttle Bumper, nope. Room Service/Restaurant I normally do room service but not this trip. The sit down restaurant is spacious, clean and modern. For breakfast theres a $11.99 and all you can eat buffet is weekends only. There is a beer and wine bar. Staff/Attentiveness They overall did a good job to make sure my stay was satisfying. Recommended? Yes, this will be my first choice to stay. I would give this hotel review a negative if it was possible. I agree 150% with "Chris L." who also wrote a review about this hotel. The Management is just simply RUDE. Situation: I work for a company and my company booked me to stay here on 2 separate stays (one week each). When my company made the reservations, Hilton made 2 authorization charges of $98.34 each to my credit card. I verified with the front desk when I checked in as well and they told me that it was just an authorization charge for which I will be reimbursed after checking out. 2 weeks after BOTH stays, I have still not received the reimbursement. On both of my receipts after checking out, the receipts each contain a "credit" of $98.34. I have yet to see the credits and called the Hotel on 2 separate occasions. 1st call) Front Desk transferred me to the Front Office Manager "Cody". Cody did not respond. I called the Front Desk staff again and told them that he did not respond and needed to get this situation resolved. Front Desk told me that she will take a message and inform Cody and he will take care of it. Never received an update call on that day although I asked for one. 2nd call, which was the next day) Front Desk transferred me to Cody again, and he did not pick up. I called the Front Desk again and they transferred me to the General Manager "Peter Salucus" (spelling). Peter seemed very uninterested in answering my questions. His "Hello" even sounded very unpleasant. He raised his voice and did NOT answer my questions. AT FIRST he also said that these were AUTHORIZATIONS, NOT CHARGES. Then halfway into the conversation he then started to say that they were CHARGES. Naturally, the guy confused me. There was no consistent answer and he had the audacity to tell me "I've answered your questions 15 different ways till Sunday". Listen here, if you did answer my question in 15 different ways, why would I, your "valued customer" be asking you to clarify? Did you not confuse me? Did you not say one thing then say another? Customer Service is horrible, just like what "Chris L." 's post states. Although I don't know Chris, I agree with him. If the staff isn't up to par with average level hotel customer service, then it must be the managers' doing and in my observation, the managers are the role model. Hotel is nice, clean, updated. Staff is incredibly friendly! Our only negatives, the foam topper on the mattress was too short so it was pulled down to the bottom for aesthetics, I guess. Well, that left a "gap" at the top that had to be filled with pillows to just be level with bed. We had to request more pillows, due to this. Phones were connected and cords kept falling out of receivers. Anyway, other than those minor things, stay was great. Thanks! read more

Extremely nice hotel! My husband & I stayed and my sister let them know that we just got married so when we came down for breakfast they congratulated us. Breakfast was DELICIOUS!!! My stay was so disappointing. Between the barrage of bugs that left me so paranoid that I couldn't get a good night's sleep, the noisy pipes that knock when someone runs water, the unclean walls with remains of dead bugs, and the service in the restaurant, there is NO WAY I would EVER stay here again. When I travel for business it is at the expense of my clients so at the risk of losing money I stayed. If this had been a personal expense I wouldn't have stayed here. I stay at the Hilton often because I trust their brand, but this is the second time I've stayed at a less than desirable Hilton Garden Inn. I am seriously considering changing to Marriott. read more

Breakfast is never included in their price and costs about $11,- per person. Rooms are clean and you have plenty of space, we slept with 4 in a 2 queen evolution room. They have some work going on at the swimming pool. If you want to swim, you have to go outside to reach the pool. The pool was dirty and the jaccuzi was really hot. read more

We checked in late on Friday night. There was not any parking space available. There were not any cart to help with luggage. Was told "we only have 4 and people keep them in their rooms". We waited 45 until we saw a car pull out of the property and we was able to park in the rear of the property. As I walked back to the hotel there was "sketchy" crap going on in several of the vehicles parked in the lot. I reported this to the front desk and suggested they have security check it out, I was told "We don't have security." The front desk person called for "Chris" on her Walkie-talkie... he never answered. On our way to our room we saw a individual with a name tag on... it was "Chris". He looked lost, I explained to him what I had seen... he didn't say anything...just walked away. At 10:00 am this morning the construction crew started rebuilding the property... the noise is unbearable. I called the front desk and asked if there was construction on the roof... I was told no, I said "yes there is..." I was put on hold... and the young girl said... "sir there is construction going on, but it's after 10 am. I said "perhaps y'all should have put that on your website, maybe we checked in to rest!" The carpet is old and dirty... outdated. This place needs to be shut down, new employees need to hired and TRAINED in customer service. We had friends that were going to stay on this property tonight... we told them to book elsewhere. We've been Honors members for many years and normally search out Hilton Properties whenever we travel. Many stays at this property over the past few years as we travel to visit family here. The Hilton Garden Inn in Covington/Mandeville is like our second home and is our benchmark for comparison to any other property we stay. The management and staff have created a comfortable place for us to visit and stay. Kudos to Melissa & Cathy for finding and retaining staff member who seem to enjoy their jobs and make sure we enjoy our stay. I didn't even get to stay here and if my experience before even staying here is how this establishment is run... that's bad. I'm having a wedding in July and called to get info on a room block. I first called beginning of March. Sent to a voicemail stating that the sales manager is out of the office till march 14. No biggie I understand people have their own issues outside of work. Left a message and got in touch with the sales manager march 7. She was very helpful on this interaction and stated a contract would be sent to me by march 9. Waited and waited until the following Monday and nothing. So I reached out again. Got her voicemail AGAIN. So I called the front office stating she'd be back the following week. Called back and she was STILL not in the office. I finally got in touch with her march 29. She was so rude on the phone and basically told me that people have issues outside of work and that I need to be patient. I completely understand that but 3 weeks for a contract for a room block is not okay. She told me I'd have the contract by the end of the day march 29 and have not recieved anything. They need someone else who can complete this when she's not able to. Oh might I also mention I left a message on the managers phone and never got a response. This company lost a lot of business as I have a lot of work people coming to my wedding from out of town. RUN FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT. read more

The worst Hilton I've stayed in yet. The bed was and incredibly cheap stiff mattress on some sort of platform base. It was even angled at a slope that made me feel like I was going down a slide while laying down. The A/C didn't cool- it was over 74 and I put it on 61 and it turns off after 2 mins. So bad, so so bad. Carpets look like they haven't been cleaned in 5 or so years. Flat out terrible night. I should have found a motel 6. Ok, so the mattress is supposedly adjustable but it's freaking broken so that's why this piece of crap is so terrible. I think the homeless guy on the corner had a spot on his bed, might go see how bad he smells. If you read this and stay here you get what you deserve. read more

We went to breakfast 2 minutes till 10 and I asked the chef if it was too late for an omelet. He (Dennis) said of course I'll make you an omelet. It was fantastic and with a smile. When you walk in the hotel you experience what you'd expect from a Hilton. Clean, updated, courteous staff. The room...not so much. No internet in my room; the signal strength was too weak to make a connection. A request to the front desk brought no resolution. Hair on the bathroom floor. Paper unflushed in the the toilet upon my arrival. The refrigerator was broken. To make matters worse my key kept malfunctioning and I had to get it reprogrammed. For the $198 price tag I expect much better. read more

This hotel is typical Hilton Garden Inn, and it's a nice place. HOWEVER, the management was extremely rude on our group stay here for the Little League World Series. Between several of our regional teams they had almost their entire hotel booked just by us for 3-4 nights straight depending upon the team. Still there was a general lack of courtesy by the management at the front desk. There are several other nice hotels in very close proximity to this place, choose elsewhere for your stay. I'm a Hilton Honors member so I stay regularly at Hilton, and have never heard some of the things said to members of our group anywhere else. Also, as with most all Garden Inn's you'll be paying for breakfast. The facility itself is very nice. To bad they don't have the staff to match. read more

This hotel seems to be a brand new location. Everything is nice, modern and in working order. I had no problem with the staff (may 100's of kids running about during the little league World Series affected the the other reviewer's stay.) My only advise is to park on the left side of the building as you pull in, due to the lot size, the check in is in the front, while the elevators are halfway into the building. Use the side entrance. A pleasant surprise. When I travel, I don't like people in my room and hang out the "do not disturb" sign. The problem is getting fresh towels etc. Not here. Here you find a bag hanging on your door with freash towels, soap and ahampoo as well as coffee supplies. Woo hoo. The rest of the place is pretty much standard fair, don't expect a gourmet meal, though the staff was more attentive than usual. The bed was very, very firm. I could have gotten past that. But the mattress cover was so lumpy that it was slanted to the left. I kept feeling as though I was rolling toward the floor and my gf kept rolling in the same direction, to the middle of the bed. The shower curtain kept leaking water onto the floor. The thermostat is just...crazy. You don't get to choose heat or AC, it just kind of goes where it wants. When we got there, the AC was on full blast and it was 60 degrees in the room. Sure, it's Louisiana in summer, but that was a bit much. Expecting the thermostat to be, you know, normal, we turn the temperature to 65. Which makes the heat kick on. We wrestled with that thing for 3 days and never got it right. Lastly, I took an online survey and mentioned that I thought the breakfast seemed overpriced ($12) for what in passing looked like some muffins, eggs, and cereal. I got a call the other day from the director of food and beverage telling me about their other breakfast options and that I just not have seen everything. When I kind of said "uh...okay then" I was told that there was a clear sign and I should have seen it and it really is a great deal for the price. First of all, I'm no longer a guest there so stop trying to convince me that your breakfast is awesome. Secondly, I cannot believe I got a call to tell me that my answer to a survey was WRONG and I should have been paying more attention to a sign. Thirdly, you guys are a half block from an IHOP, and your breakfast is a flat $12, even if I only wanted to grab some yogurt. That's silly. I'll find a different hotel next time, that phone call is what finally determined that I don't intend to be a repeat customer. read more

When I first arrived I was greeted by Mandy who was very nice. We switched rooms and she didn't mind one bit. The hotel was very nice. Very comfortable beds, nice pool & hot tub. Breakfast was good as well buffet style and also made to order to your liking. The hotel has very nice scenery throughout its was very pleasing.
