I'm a happy regular. I work in the area Tuesdays and Thursdays and this is my afternoon pick me up. Mimi has got my drink order down, blueberry almond milk matcha latte iced. Starbucks can't compare! I originally came in because they have mochi donuts on their menu. I went through all the flavors and taste tested them with the boyfriend since they were his current favorite treat. When the kick moved on, I started trying the matcha lattes. Gotta say the blueberry is the best, it's like fruity pebbles. They have much more in store in drinks and treats. I've come in and a man was sharing his guilty pleasure with coworkers and had ordered a mixed box of donuts. Oh the choices! Beautifully made with great pricing. Definitely a gem to local business and the community.
Friendly Donuts is some of the best! We have been here only a few times, but I have always left happy! They are open 24 hours and they are known to offer many VEGAN options. This is great for those with food allergies. The location is well lit and has a decent size parking. The inside has bench seating and nice decor for photo ops. The staff here were efficient and hospitable. On a recent late night visit we scooped up a few vegan donuts and pastries for my wife and I saw a Dubai Chocolate I could not pass up! The vegan donuts all tasted great and that Dubai one was amazing. I love coming out here to Friendly Donuts for a delicious treat and because my wife can enjoy an array of vegan donut selections. Orange County, meet your new local donut dealer. Friendly is not the only good thing about this donut joint. What's also excellent is the variety of delicious donuts they have to offer. Donuts, cronuts, and mochi donuts .. Friendly Donuts has got them all. And the best part? They are very affordable compared to other fancy donut shops around. I came to pick up a dozen donuts to take to a friend's house this morning. I decided to upgrade to a dozen mochi donuts when I found out a dozen was only $32. I've tried donuts here in the past to know that they are tasty as well. In a time when most prices are inflated, I appreciate that Friendly Donuts has kept their prices fair. That mixed with a variety of scrumptious donuts and friendly service, you have found your new local donut dealer!

Over a decade ago I went to Friendly Donuts in Orange and I was so underwhelmed. Recently when my boyfriend mentioned seeing Friendly Donuts from a YouTuber he follows, I was open to trying it again. It's been so long. I was rooting for them to improve. I was optimistic as we pulled up into their little parking lot. There was a lot of improvements to the donut shop. Definitely new paint, new fun back drop, a wide selection when we came during the weekend. We ordered a Canadian Favorite ($4.50), a Pistachio Donut ($3.25), a Maple Cruller (Promo $1), and a Dozen Donut Holes ($4). We were full from lunch but we wanted to try the donut holes right away.. .. .. ugh... disappointment... so dense. Not a fan. My boyfriend ate the pistachio donut said it was not bad, better than the donut holes. His theory is maybe they do better cake donuts than yeast donuts. I microwaved the Canadian favorite which is the maple with the bacon and it wasn't hard since it was warm, flavor was good but just about as good as all the other donut shops. Oh the seating the did have along the side of the little shop was a bit tight and the surface could use some cleaning. It had a lot of donut crumbles from previous patrons. I feel like the latest visit is a smidge better than my last visit. I do see improvements but I wouldn't go out of my way for this place. It's probably an okay option for locals. And I still don't feel like they're friendly... sorry when you name your place friendly donuts, you set up expectations for your staff to be friendly.
Stopped by Friendly Donuts on my way back home from a road trip. I'm so glad we stopped, because they had a nice selection of vegan donuts for my son and regular donuts for myself. Every donut we tried was delicious. I like that the donuts do not taste artificial and the flavors really come through! My favorite donut flavor as the Ube! Very clean inside and staff were helpful plus friendly!

Delish donuts & very creative flavors. Some of our favs are their French cream, tiramisu, flan donuts, Boston cream, and the mochi donuts! And so many more- chef creations & classic donuts- something for everyone. Love our local donut shop! Definitely worth a visit.

This place is amazing! Steven answered so many questions about all the different donuts and helped direct our choices. My daughter loved her animal cookie donut and the Nutella strawberry dossant was bomb!
The dough isn't too sweet, but isn't as airy as some of the other donuts I've had in OC. I can see why it's rated higher than Oliboli donuts. The maple donut frosting is out of this world good. Long John's were more airy than the main circular donuts . Cake donuts dry

We were in search of a delicious donut, and came across this place. Entering this place is a vibe, talk about transformation to donut land. Your eyes just get big in awe. There was plenty to choose from. We got their special, halo halo. The taste was on point, but unfortunately had too much cream for my tasting. The donut itself was delicious, but the extras was too extra for me. Their flans on their donuts are delicious. They have plenty more options to choose from. Definitely would try this place again. read more

Loved how this donut shop has vegan donuts and drink options. This donut shop is a hidden gem! Staff here was super considerate to ensure you've been helped. Def a must try when craving something sweet in the morning or even a late night snack since they're open 24/7! Visit their IG page for their seasonal flavors -Winter Wonderland Croissant Wheel's filling was not bad. Icing reminded me of a sugar cookie. -Gourmet Gingerbread Delight Croissant Wheel's filling was stronger in flavoring bringing out more of a holiday vibe in my opinion. Super unprofessional. We drove 20 minutes to try them. We picked a doughnut and the lady in picture gave it to people behind us in line because they were speaking same language! When I told her we picked that she said it's first come first serve. I said exactly we are first then she said sorry we told them we will give it to them even though they are behind you in line. Absolutely amazing donuts! After I landed in SoCal I wanted a tasty dessert. I noticed Friendly Donuts was open until midnight so we went there. My husband got the cream donut and I got the Dubai pistachio donut. When we got to our hotel it was pure bliss. These donuts are literally the best I've eaten. They are incredibly fresh and full of flavor. Both are excellent but the Dubai donut took the cake. It had that crunchy pistachio center that mimics that viral chocolate bar. I will go back again because there is nothing as good as this in SJ. I cannot stress e much how good this place- check it out! read more

The donuts are amazing!! My personal favorites were the pop tart donut(this is not the official name for it... but it does have a whole pop tart inside!!) SOOOO good and the Dubai chocolate donuts ! As a vegan I've searched high and low trying to fill the huge donut void that being vegan had created. I've whined for days, thrown hangry fits, and drooled with jealousy as my family enjoyed pink boxes filled with the tasty, nostalgic, fluffy rings of comfort. Then one day the sky parted and rays of light surrounded this beautiful place: Friendly Donuts in Orange, CA! They have a fabulous selection of vegan donuts, the flavors of which dance on my tongue and make my heart sing with delight. I am solemnly telling the truth when I say these vegan donuts taste just as wonderful as regular donuts do. They have an even more humongous selection of classic donuts, so you can do a taste test right there if you do not believe the ramblings of a random and seemingly crazed donut junkie! Pictured here are the vegan chocolate bar, the vegan cake donut, and the classic tiger tail. Unfortunately I didn't get a shot of my strawberry rice milk, the maple bar, or the dirty thai tea we also got. Self-control is not my strong suit. That explains the crumbs, bits of icing, and the occasional sprinkle on the car seats. But wait! There's more!! The service is fantabulous!! Every time we've gone we've been greeted and served patiently (it takes me a while to decide which delectable donut I would like to partake in each time, but they never rush me) and "friendly." First time being here with a friend of mine and Got to say...It was Sooooo good! The maple on both donuts were so fresh, the inside of the store felt very homey and welcoming so my friend and I felt very relaxed. Not to mention the overall service was fast and efficient. OC DONUT SHOP MUST TRY! Seasonal items: Halo Halo Donut We originally came for the halo halo donut but left with many amazing options! Everything from the pandan mochi donut to the oat green thai tea was incredible! Price point is unbelievable, and service is so good! These are the BEST donuts in the world, hands down, and you can find a line here any time or day of the week and rightfully so. Not only are these donuts GIANT and covered in so many toppings, but they also have every flavor under the sun like dossants (donut-croissant hybrids) and mochi donuts, you name it, which they rotate monthly so it's physically impossible to order only one. I got the French cream which I was very excited for, and a box of all their monthly flavors, each one was a 10 out of 10, and pairing them with an iced Zebra mocha only felt right. They were so good, I had to go back a second day in a row, but this time I tried their Friendly sliders which are incredible. It has bacon, avocado, spicy aioli, and cheese all on Hawaiian bread. Obsessed with their Mochi donuts. Just go!!! Get one of everything. Or at least one of all the Mochi flavors. I super dig the workers their. They're super cool. Always throwing in a donut or two! Idk if it's cuz I'm cool as hell, or if they treat everyone with love, but like, be cool all the time and you can receive some love back. There isn't seating inside the donut shop. So you can just eat and chill there. I don't believe there's seating outside either. So just eat them babies in your car!!!! Like cmon! Eat and listen to your jams. I always bring my Stanley cup inside and they are always so down and willing to fill that baby up for me!!! Super appreciative. This place kicks ass! It's super cute, very aesthetically pleasing to the eye lol. Their donuts are absolutely beautiful! Have I ever said that about a donut? No. But this place deserves that! They really put some time and effort into making their food look as good as it tastes! Typically, you can't go wrong with a good old-fashioned donut, they have completely leveled up the breakfast dessert game! I also got a medium black coffee, which the gal behind the counter was so sweet and she prepared for me with French vanilla. The gentleman that rung me up was super awesome, too and sweet and personable, if this was closer to my house, I would definitely have a problem lol. Tried this place after it was recommended by a friend on Valentine's day weekend. Overall, staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, especially because we placed a large order. However, the donuts were a little lackluster. My favorites were the creme brulee with the bruleed sugar topping, however, the rest lacked in flavor. However, considering how reasonably priced they were, it didn't bother me too much. If you're in the area - try it out. However, I don't think we'll go out of our way to try it again. read more

Ube is a purple yam -- It has a smooth texture and a mild, sweet flavor that has been compared to white chocolate or a cross between vanilla and pistachio. That beautiful purple color is its natural color.
