Things seem to be changing at our local donut shop. Stopped in today. Well to begin with, the music was sooo loud when I walked in...loud enough that the girl behind the counter turned it down after I approached the counter. They have also done a facelift inside. Friendliest donut shop ever! Went in to buy mochi donuts for my bf's bday and got a complimentary bday donut and a card to go along with it. The owner also gave me a donut for the drive back home. I typically go to another donut shop just for convenience but they are always out of donuts so I've started going to Friendly Donut. I'll go in for 1 but, like tonight, they are usually just cooked and going on the rack. So rather than 1, I always get 6 for the household. The Tiger Tail I got for me is one of the largest and it is sooooooo fresh. This is now my regular spot. They are staffed well. Quick and polite customer service. Restaurant is clean. I can't remember the name of the person who was helping me, but he was very nice and friendly. He asked me how my night was going and if I was just getting off work. Unfriendly donuts! Very disappointed, disgusted, & upset . I was harassed & discriminated for parking in handicap spot despite being handicap. My disabilities are not visible. I was just a customer wanting ube donuts, but walked out empty handed and broken hearted. Dealing with disabilities is not easy and having being questioned about it felt like my privacy meant nothing. In the healthcare industry there are privacy laws in place and for him to try to pry out information hurt. Yesterday, i stumbled upon the post of my friend that directed me to where they bought those mochi donuts, so me and my friend head out all the way to end of East Chapman for these.
