So I have been looking around for a medi-cal dentist since I haven't been to the dentist since I was 25 and I found this place right up the street from my house. They accepted my insurance right away and the first appointment was great. The x rays were fast and done correctly. The staff was amazing. They actually listen to you and care about your opinion. There's only 1-2 dentists which is nice because I feel like they're more personal and not just in and out and not care. The front staff are amazing. The man and woman are professional and are so friendly. The place is nice. 5 chairs is nice. The wait a bit longer than normal, but they do tell you and give you an update on how long its going to be when the dentist comes. They constantly ask you if you're numb enough, and add more Novocain if you can still feel a little. They're so professional and highly recommend this place! read more

I had an appointment scheduled for 9AM and waited 45 minutes to be brought to the back. I was then sat in the chair for another 20 minutes before asking when i would be seen and the assistant told me another 15 minutes. When making the appointment i was told i would be at the office and hour tops so it's a bit frustrating that i waited longer than that ( i am breast feeding so can't be away from my baby super long) The office was a bit dirty and could use some updating. My daughter went in for her very first dental appointment and was welcomed with an amazing friendly staff! My daughter whom just turned 4, had to get a filling ... I think I was more nervous than she was. But the friendly assistants as well as dentist treated her like a princess. And she was in amd out woth a smile amd now said she loves the dentist! And asked when we are going back to get her teeth cleaned (They filling was small so she didn't need a the numbing shot. The laughing gas worked perfectly. I was vary pleased with this dentist!! It looks like this location have gotten new front office staff. While The dentist Julliet Hananian is commendable. The new front desk staff are ignorant of insurances policy coverages, and are rude. They hung up on me while I was trying to explain to them the coverage. they would not pick up the phone when I called back. Also they tried to charge me with a copay for regular cleaning while it was fully covered by my policy. Be ware of their mistakes until they become familiar with what they are handling. Ok so I only came to this dentist because my insurance had this location on record. I am planning on changing to another facility as soon as possible. The front desk receptionist was very kind and helpful. The young lady doing my dental X-rays was beyond professional and very polite. However, the actual doctor was so rude! She clearly HATES her job. I came in for them to check my wisdom teeth. She said my gums were inflamed and that I needed some special antibiotics that my insurance did NOT cover and cost around $260... but keep in mind she said they were not infected but INFLAMED. Ok so I asked her to prescribe another brand name antibiotic or antibiotic rinse that my insurance will cover and she refused. She never spoke about my wisdom teeth ... I had to ask two separate nurses to look at my chart and give me their advice and info on extractions etc. The doctor also tried selling me a special TMJ retainer which was $360 even after I told her I already had one made at another office. The doctor is there only to make an extra buck off you. She doesn't care about your main concerns whatsoever. They tried rushing me out but I quickly asked about having my teeth cleaned during this visit (usually you get your teeth cleaned at the first dental visit)... so they said ok and after 25 minutes of sitting alone in the chair, the doctor walked over and scraped my gums sooo bad (even after she saw how tender they were from my wisdom teeth pushing through) I was literally clenching my fists and toes. Then after doing only the bottom she got up and slammed the tools down and said I shouldn't be late to appointments if I want my teeth cleaned and walked off. No joke guys I was shocked. I was 4 minutes late to my appt... I understand where I went wrong but to treat someone like that????? The nurses were so kind and cleaned up my mouth and I was basically rushed out. I didn't get a print out of anything- not even a prescription for antibiotics. I got in my car and look in the mirror and the doctor had left things still stuck in my teeth. I was so embarrassed for being treated like that. I will never ever go back and I will urge friends and family to never go to this place. I also took photos of how unsanitary everything was as well. The sink next to me had a ring (mold maybe) around it. The small handheld camera used to take photos of my mouth had a plastic disposable cover on it that wasn't removed after using it on me and placed back against the porous drywall. I have already contacted my insurance to make sure they don't claim procedures that were not done. Especially after seeing how money hungry they were. Never again. read more

My rating is really more of a high 3 stars but I had to round up. The staff is very friendly and extremely competent. This was evident in the X-ray process and the cleaning. Billing was the easiest I've ever had it be. I ended up covered for far more than I expected (and I had been quoted by other dentists). Hassle free billing meant I could just get the work done that I needed and now I'm sending my husband in too. The dentist is fast but her bedside manner is not good. She doesn't explain what she's doing -- she barely talks at all, and when she does she's very quiet and hard to hear. She got things done very efficiently, but wasn't that gentle. As a result, I'm more sore than normal a couple days later but nothing serious. I would've liked more communication and thoroughness. But I'm not afraid to speak up, so I get what I need just by asking. read more

This has to be the worst place to get any dental work. Most people usually hate going to the dentist like me. I went there the end of March 2021 to get a tooth extraction because it was abscessed and when the dentist was numbing my mouth using a needle it was painful and what I didnt appreciate is she was losing her patience - I did not appreciate that one bit - I am coming to this office to get treatment and she didnt even attempt to make me feel comfortable. I went there again recently to get a deep cleaning and when the dentist was trying to numb my mouth with a needle she wasn't even trying to make it least comfortable and she had the audacity to say she had other patients there for me to stay quiet - so I'm supposed to just stay in pain to protect her other patients - dont tell me how to feel. I'm a patient there like anyone else, she made money. I'll never recommend this place to anybody and I'm usually someone who will go out of my to recommend a place if I was treated well. I want to start off by saying that I've moved around the last few years (from Elsinore, to Fallbrook, and even Vista!). I've been coming here for the last two and a half years or so. Dr. Juliet Hananian is THE best dentist I've ever had. Like many, I've hated the dentist since I was a child. I've literally shown up to appointments as a kid just to have the receptionist tell me they had to reschedule because the dentist was hung over. Pretty wild stuff. I came to this location per the recommendation of a family member, who like me, has a lower pain tolerance and fear of needles. Dr. Hananian is professional and a professional. I had to get some cavities fixed that were towards the back of my mouth. I asked if they could be filled with the white filling versus metal. Normally that's not done since it's harder to get the light back there to set the white filling. Despite that, the Dr. still attempted to and worked with me to fix my teeth the way I had hoped for. The rest of the staff is always welcoming and while I still get nervous from time to time when I'm expecting a needle, I'm always excited to come in and take care of my teeth. I will continue to come here regardless of where I am. I don't like change, lol. read more

I've been through three different offices that played around with my insurance (state insurance) for three years trying to get as much money and if they couldn't, not treating me. Meanwhile, my teeth continued rotting out of my head and going from fillings to needing crowns or loosing them. In the three years, I only got cleanings, then managed two fillings... total. Then the last office dropped my insurance and I had to start all over again. When I came to THIS office, the very second appointment I got four teeth filled. Next appointment, three. Now, saving teeth the other office wanted to pull and charge me for bridges that my insurance wouldn't cover. Now this dentist is doing root canals and crowns and saving my teeth. She works with the insurance and gets what you need done however it needs to go through the insurance to happen. I've NEVER had a better experience with a dentist in my life! I am terrified of the dentist and always have been. I'm a big whiny baby when it comes to the dentist because Novocain has never worked on me. Dr. Hananian was so patient with me it took three rounds of novocaine to get me numb and she never complained once.. Today I was scheduled to get a cleaning and I didn't even get one. I was the second person to arrive for an appointment, and everyone else was getting attended. After the dentist checked me she told me I had three small cavities but I just wanted to get my cleaning and asked if I could schedule an appointment for another day because I did not have time to wait around. I ended up getting them filled because she said I didn't need to be numbed, thinking it would be quick. Instead, she attends 3 people that came in after me. After she was done I thought I would be getting my cleaning because that's what I was scheduled for but she said she was done and I could go. The atmosphere is bad, and I understand there is only one Dentist but they are really bad. I am never going back, there are better Dentist around. read more

My experience was over two years ago. Never been to a dentist office that was absolutely filthy! Dried blood on the floor around the patient chairs...this office does not get cleaned on a regular basis. I was quoted thousands of dollars, almost all for unnecessary work. I got a 2nd opinion and never returned. I did not find the staff to be very nice with the exception of the male assistant. Not that friendly . . . or honest. They told me I had seven cavities, which shocked me because I had had a dental exam elsewhere less than a year earlier with no problems. Then they really tried to push me to get them filled right then and there. Later I checked with my wife, who said they had told her that she had two cavities. She later went to another dentist and was told she had none. They did a great job on the scaling but the technician kept messing up on the x-rays and I must have had 25! The staff and dentist at this office are beyond wonderful...i must admit I'm not the easiest person to do dental work on because im the biggest baby when it comes to that stuff but they have never made me feel bad for it. They attended me in a timely manner and let me know what they were doing every step of the way. AWESOME DENTIST !! AWESOME STAFF !!! AWESOME SERVICE!!!! My personal experience with Friendly Dental has been truly wonderful. I do not usually write reviews, but in this case I just felt I HAD TO after reading some of the not so good reviews. As a business owner myself I can understand the old saying "you can't please all of the people, all of the time". So, in fairness to Dr. Juliet and her AMAZING (and very friendly) staff, I just feel I had to lend a voice about my experience at Friendly Dental. Before my first visit I had had a really bad toothache (really bad) for several days so that was the reason for my visit. After a very thorough exam, Dr. Juliet she discovered an infection under an old composite filling was the cause of the problem. The fix was quick, painless and expertly done. THANK YOU. THANK YOU :) However, in my examination she discovered several other problems that another Dentist had missed and without immediate attention I would have really been in trouble and probably lost several of my teeth completely. The thing I like most about Dr. Juliet is, "SHE SAYS IT LIKE IT IS", she is straight up and will not hold back on her advice... and if you are looking for the facts, with no embellishments, look no further, you will get "the truth" here, even though it may hurt (no pun intended and the "truth" is what I'm referring to) .. you will know EXACTLY where you stand in regard to your dental work. Dr. Juliet is a professional in every way. In addition, I really like the "open plan" style of the office, I never felt "cooped up" like in other Dentists offices with small little exam rooms. I am on my 8th visit now after multiple fillings, a root canal, a crown, deep cleaning and another crown coming soon. My mouth has never felt better in years and I owe it to the caring, hardworking folks at Friendly Dental. As I said, I give my "personal" experience an A+ rating...fair prices, great service, concerned and friendly staff that made me feel at home and relaxed ( I HATE Dentist's offices...well specifically... Dentist's needles) and a Dentist with a "no bull" attitude that truly has your best interest at heart.... and I hardly felt the needle :) I can not say enough GOOD STUFF -- A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!! Came in for a routine cleaning and an exam they never cleaned my teeth and gave me an estimate of over five thousand dollars worth of stuff I needed to do when my teeth are perfectly fine and only had one cavity, and I can't forget to mention how rude and mean the lady dentist is she scolded me about my son not brushing his teeth when he does everyday.
