We arrived at 9am to fill out forms…read more At 9:25 while waiting to be taken back after filling out forms they told us her insurance isn't taken here anymore. We have had this appointment scheduled for a month. Her insurance hasn't changed. The office has had her insurance information since she made the appointment. They could have called us at any point prior to 9:25am today and we could seek care elsewhere. The front desk staff are completely incompetent and unprofessional. This is a practice that needs to be absorbed by a bigger hospital organization and ensure competent patient care. We wasted our time and my girlfriend now has delay of care in tending to her active medical issues. Completely unacceptable. Do not go here.

I went on my insurance plan's website and found a list of local doctors which I began calling to see who could see me earliest. I wanted instant gratification. I wanted to feel better asap. If I wanted the good stuff; the bedside manner, the clean office, the up-to-date periodicals I would have caught the 6:30 LIRR to Penn. But I was off to Dr. German's (Grrr-man), which is waving distance from my brother's house in the hometown. I showed up a little early to fill out paperwork and sat amongst my peers for the day... Dr. G was saying that he went to the bicentennial of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Everyone else waiting was probably at the original signing. No spring chickens at this office. But I was in, I was out, I was on my way to their recommended pharmacy. Dr. G and his assistant (phlebotomist?) Courtney made me laugh, the latter with her good personality and small talk, the former with his gruffness (he walked into my room and said "so what, are you sick?" Ha.) which I have always found charming. He's not your average feel-good city doctor I'm accustomed to, but all in all pretty good. If I was ever caught in the same position again I would absolutely go back. Dr. German reminds me of my Grandpa and there's something comforting in that; though the ultimate differences are Dr. G made me feel much better in a short time and my Grandpa drinks 1.5 handles of whiskey a day and somehow blames me for his gout.

I had seen him in the past and my experience was excellent. So when I needed a pulmonologist again I went back to him. Even my Primary Care doctor said he was great when he asked me whom I had seen in the past. All the staff are very pleasant and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Spadaro!

There is no sense of customer service or coordination of care and definitely not a hint of any desire to help. The burden is on you to do everything (e.g., check insurance coverage with referrals, fax medical records, update their office listings in insurer's directories), so I wouldn't trust physicians who don't check for quality in the staff they hire to do nothing to attract and retain patients except make their lives miserable simply because they can get away with it. I'll take family's health and business elsewhere. Someone who treats patients this poorly can't possibly reflect well for the physicians caring about someone's health if they let this pass for customer care. I don't even want to imagine the potential nightmare of dealing with staff who have no sensitivity for dealing with seniors and their complications.
