This is a long overdue review. My husband and his groomsmen rented tuxedos from Friar Tux, and while the process started off smoothly, it ended up being extremely stressful and disappointing. Ray, the manager, initially assisted us and was professional and helpful when placing the order. I specifically pointed to a mannequin and requested that exact suit combination, including long ties (not bowties). I also made it very clear that one of the groomsmen would be flying in from Germany and likely wouldn't be able to pick up his suit until the day before the wedding. I asked multiple times if this would be an issue, and Ray reassured me that everything would be fine and that the suit would be in stock--even during prom season. Leading up to the wedding, I called about three separate times and spoke with different staff members to confirm that the suit for our groomsman would be ready. Each time, I was reassured that there would be no problem. However, the day before the wedding, when our groomsman went to pick up his suit, it was not available. They couldn't find the order or the suit, and he had to drive to another location to get it. This was completely unacceptable--especially given how many times I had called to confirm. The timing made it even worse, as it added unnecessary stress right before the wedding. On top of that, all of the groomsmen were given bowties instead of the long ties I had specifically requested, which was another frustrating mix-up. Unfortunately, the issues didn't end there. When the suits were returned, we were told that one of the tuxedos had not been returned. We confirmed with our mother-in-law that she had dropped off all the suits at Friar Tux. Despite this, we were charged for the missing tux. Later, it turned out the suit *had* been returned--they simply failed to log it properly or place it in the correct area. This level of disorganization is unacceptable. Even worse, after charging us for the tux, they did not fully refund the amount once the mistake was discovered. We were shorted approximately $150, which led to another frustrating process of trying to get our money back. We were transferred multiple times and had a very difficult time resolving the issue. While Ray did apologize and refunded part of the issues, the response didn't feel very sincere, and it seemed like everything was brushed off. A refund does not make up for the stress, time, and inconvenience caused during such an important event. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing. Between the missing suit, incorrect items, poor communication, and billing errors, I would not rent from here again. read more

I had an amazing experience at Friar Tux, and I have to give a HUGE shoutout to Aiden for coming through clutch! I walked in last minute the day of my event with zero preparation. I hadn't worn a suit in years, so I had no clue what my sizes were or where to even start. From the second I walked in, Aiden's energy was on point, super welcoming, great vibes, and some solid banter that instantly made the whole process comfortable. Knowing I was on a time crunch, we got straight to business. Despite me having absolutely no sizing info, Aiden had me measured up and dialed in within minutes like it was nothing. Once we had my sizes, he picked out a CLEAN navy blue suit that fit the occasion perfectly. Now when it came to shoes, I was ready to play it safe and go with black (you know... goes with everything). But Aiden stepped in and recommended brown shoes to complement the navy and let me tell you, he was 100% right. It elevated the whole look. Then came the tie. This is where Aiden really stood out. I hate when you ask for recommendations and people hit you with "anything works" or "it's up to you." Not Aiden. I asked him to bring me 5 options... this man confidently brought out just TWO. That's it. And honestly? He didn't need more. The first was a smooth velvet-style tie, subtle but classy. The second was a champagne gold handkerchief that just screamed "WOW." At that point, I knew I was in the right hands. After picking everything out, Aiden got to work tailoring everything and when I say this guy is a wizard with that machine, I mean it. He had everything fitted and ready in UNDER AN HOUR... same day. I walked out fully suited and ready to celebrate. Only downside? That fire tie didn't even make it to the event because my lady couldn't keep her hands off it... so yeah, RIP to the tie that deserved to be seen And the price?? INSANE value. I walked out with a full 3-piece suit (vest, jacket, pants), shoes, tie, handkerchief, AND tailoring--all for under $400... SAME DAY. 5 stars for Friar Tux. Aiden gets a 100/10. Don't let the young face fool you dude is a straight professional. I don't wear suits often... but after this? I might be back next week for another one. read more

Wow! The level of service I received today was way more than I ever would have expected. Today is my son's prom, we are on a tight schedule, and he had a small wardrobe malfunction. I called them (really because I needed to take it on somebody else) to let them know and ask how we can resolve this. Jamie, the manager, apologized for the inconvenience and had a new pair of pants hemmed and at my front door with in 30 minutes of me calling the store. Mind Blown! Upon entering the shop, we were greated with a pleasant smile from Gabriel who helped us out tremendously. As a couple who has never been suit/tux shopping before, he (Gabriel) guided us through the process and made us feel very welcomed. If we had any questions or concerns he wasn't quick to judge or make faces (like other places we had gone to) which made our experience a lot more pleasant. On top of that, we were pretty last minute to find his tux but Gabriel assured us that if we placed the order right then and there we would get it in time for the wedding we were attending that same weekend. They helped me suit up last minute for a funeral the same week. Suit was tailored and ready for pick up in 2 days. Also needed to touch up the sleeves for the jacket, and that was ready the following day for pick up. I am a truck driver who got called out of hometime to run a hot load out of town, was back the next week. 10 days to be exact. And the dudes there helped with the late fee with a smile on their faces. Went from having a $100 bill on top of the rental fee to just $30. I was told that the tux's for sale only went up to a maximum size. The good service is that they lent me a black tux for my first event.
