Cabazon is always busy and being there during the Christmas holidays is kind of nuts but we needed new luggage and there are several upscale places there so we brought the dogs and made a day of it. Frette it turns out, had amazing quality linens and bedding that we had purchased previously but had paid quite a bit more for. We took the opportunity to buy a new set of sheets, pillowcases, silk pillowcases, a gorgeous quilt and plush robes for truly worthwhile savings. Abigail was so helpful in suggesting colours and styles and in the end, since we were there with the dogs, she offered to ship it all for free! I was so shocked to get all of it the next day! Product is poor. My sheets, were not what I felt in the sample pillowcase. I could see my hand thru the sheets when home and in packaging. Tags reading made in Portugal, and another tag reading made in Mexico. The premise is that these are fine Italian linens. While in the store both Nathan and Abigail were kind. When I got home and opened the sheets I immediately saw the quality was junk. Nathan answered my call, and said "check this out, a couple of years ago we were bought out and things have changed, a lot of people are complaining". Then Abigail takes the call, and tells me, "they are made in Italy, assembled in Mexico and distributed thru Portugal"! She also told me, "you are the only person to complain about this". Now, that I am certain is a lie. Okay! I love all countries mentioned and am Mexican, that's not the issue. The value was 150% not there, this was poor product displayed lovely and packaged nicely. The product was crap. My best friend was with me and has a beautiful pair of Frette Italian linens from several years ago. We asked Abigail to check her profile so as to purchase the identical linens. She stated to have done just that. So, after we were home opened the linens and irked, via the phone Abigail says well then you need to buy the Italian sheets. Lord have mercy. So! Bottom line. The perception is that you are getting an incredible discount off the MSRP, but in actuality that's pure fraud. The sheets may have been worth $50 (on a great day), and we paid $500. Initially over the phone Abigail said there's nothing she can do, "you purchased from an outlet store" after much back and forth she asked for our email addresses and stated she would email a return label and issue refunds. It was just about closing when she did finally email the return label, accompanied by zero correspondence. No apology, no, as per our conversation... just a return label. I felt this company completely untrustworthy. I contacted my bank immediately who supported me with a chargeback, protecting my funds. I immediately packaged up the purchased linens, as I do the right thing always. I returned the items the following morning. I was thankful to my bank for supporting me. Ms Abigail Ash needs to reflect on whom she elects to work for. She needs to be honest. She needs to be an honest merchant representative as well. In other words: Don't make things up. I caution anyone to make a purchase from the Frette outlets. If able I would have provided zero stars. ZERO! Buyer beware. read more

I just cannot express how much and to what degree that I adore this store. If it wasn't for this store I wouldn't have an easy time getting high quality sheets for the bed. My issue is that I cannot use ANY type of synthetic fabric on my skin.. it causes a bad skin reaction. I have to have cotton. Not any kind of cotton but high quality Supima, long staple cotton, Egyptian cotton OR Italian bedding. Such a night & day difference when it comes to the quality of sleep. I can't pinpoint the reason why, but the luxury feel of items at this location were not the same as what I found at Woodbury Common near NYC. we frequent here because i love frette sheets but some workers provide better service than others.. its hit and miss.

We had this experience that proved the dimensions on their packaging misrepresent sizing purposely, and the company refuses to take returns. A particularly hostile way of doing business. I purchased a king set of sheets, pillowcases and a blanket at the Cabazon CA store from one Edgar Alfaro. They were shipped by your staff to our home. We returned from traveling for the summer and followed the washing instructions provided and enclosed by the store in Cabazon. Our king mattress is exactly 76" wide by 80" long, we have a normal mattress depth (not shallow not topped, not deep, etc). The fitted sheet provided in the set bags up in the corners as there appears to be several extra inches of fabric in each dimension. I called the store and spoke with Edgar Alfaro, the agent we purchased them from. He informed us that this was in fact "normal and designed to accommodate various mattress sizes" and added that we should "use clip-ons in the corners to cinch up the loose fabric". Now, I don't go through the trouble of knowing my mattress dimensions, translating them to centimeters to translate to your packaging, only to have those precise measurement be inaccurately represented on your packaging such that the product is multiple inches incorrectly cut in both dimensions. The store agent refused any additional help and told me that this was simply store policy. I don't think a global brand like Frette wants to be known for caveat emptor, and badly made sheets. He got huffy at this point and refused to provide any other assistance. Update: The company customer service is extraordinarily passive aggressive. When I documented that their sheets are not cut to the size as represented on the package, I was given a backhand, "I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the proportions as they apply to your exact specifications....our fitted sheets are crafted to accommodate several standard size variations." I'm not sure what "crafting" has to do with cutting fabric in a precise rectangle. As a civilization, we mastered the process of precise dimensional cutting several thousand years ago, see ancient temples, roads, etc. No "crafting" is needed. "Competence" is needed. Also, whether or not I'm "happy" is irrelevant....I purchased X, you sold me Y knowingly and admitted that this is a corporate policy of "crafting". That is fraud, not "crafting". Seriously, the torture of the english language has got to stop. I responded by quoting from the applicable legal code, that "this is an obvious case of false advertising or labeling. I have been harmed by purchasing falsely labeled products. This violates the Lanham Act section 43(a) which is codified in 15 U.S.C. section 1125(a) in 1946 and amended in 1988. This provision prohibits any use of a false or misleading description of representation in commercial advertising or promotion that "misrepresent the nature characteristics qualities are geographic origin of...goods, services, or commercial activities."" Lo and behold, they were miraculously able to issue a refund without accepting responsibility for misrepresentation. Thank you for making sure I never buy from Frette again, and I exhort you to not purchase from a company that treats their customers this way. read more

Terribly rude and disrespectful sales person full of attitude Abby Ash and manger Michael who just tried to shuffle us out the door instead of being a professional and customer first service. Awful. We drove 3 hours on Black Friday to get to their sale. We walked in the very nice gentleman at the door knew us and let us know our regular salesperson had left the company introduced us to the new person who was very nice and helpful. We purchased a few things the bill was $750. Which didn't sound right to me and she said she didn't add the discount. Simple mistake but no apology and full of attitude like she got caught trying to rip us off. Then I asked who to complain to Abby ignored me the other salesperson was nice enough to get the manager Michael Bailey I believe. He had a ton of attitude too. Didn't listen to a word we said. Just said "no harm no foul" which shows he didn't listen because clearly we were harmed and his team wasn't. Then did everything he could to shuffle us out the door. We shop there three times a year and always had good experiences On top if it. We went online to Frette and we could have just ordered the same items as their prices were exactly the same. Frette is about the only store in the Desert Premium Outlets that I feel has honest and consistent pricing and good customer service. I have shopped there repeatedly and will continue to do so. Why not 5 stars? I think it's really hard to know what the sheets will feel like once the are washed and the quality control is a bit inconsistent (finding a whole in a cashmere throw upon removing it from its packaging). read more
