**UPDATE: Exceptional Customer Service and an Owner Who Truly Cares!**…read more I originally left a disappointing review after visiting Misty's in Palm Springs. My husband and I fell in love with a beautiful piece of artwork, but after waiting to hear back about pricing, we learned it had been sold to another customer. I was incredibly disappointed, especially because we were so excited to bring that piece home. Well, I have to say, this story has taken a wonderful turn! After I posted my review, Tyler, the owner of Misty's, personally reached out to me. She took the time to explain what happened, and I learned that the original artwork was being sold on consignment and that they couldn't reach the owner. It wasn't that anyone didn't want to sell the piece to me. The store also has a one-hour hold policy, and another customer was there ready to purchase it. But here's where the story gets really good! Tyler genuinely wanted to make things right. Through her connections, she located **the exact same artwork** and arranged for a framing company she works with to frame it in the same beautiful style as the original. The best part? My artwork will actually be brand new! She even took time out of her day off to coordinate shipping and find a reasonably priced delivery service to get the piece to my home. I am expecting it by November 10th, and I couldn't be more excited! Looking back, I wish I had picked up the phone and spoken with Tyler before becoming a TYPING NINJA on Yelp! Sometimes we are so quick to share our frustrations without giving someone the opportunity to explain or make things right. This experience was a wonderful reminder of that. **Tyler went above and beyond anything I could have expected.** She didn't have to do any of this, but she genuinely cared about my experience and wanted me to be happy. That speaks volumes about her character and the pride she takes in her business. Misty's is filled with amazing, unique pieces, and I can certainly see why they've been in business for so many years. It's one thing to have a beautiful store, but it's another to have an owner who stands behind her business with this level of personal attention and customer service. Thank you, Tyler, for turning a disappointing experience into such a positive one. You've earned my appreciation, my respect, and absolutely my future business! **I will happily visit Misty's again the next time we're in Palm Springs!**

Misty's is not the same without Misty- Some advice based on…read more3 recent experiences. -Drop the attitude- you sell consigned used items- not Birkin Bags. Your art specialist has no talent for doing her job- she's rude and ignorant. If she can't google it she can't and doesn't establish a value to anything. She has no knowledge of art valuation, which allowed me to buy 2 under valued pieces, and prevented me from selling several others. -Stop damaging items entrusted to you for consignment. I saw the movers damage a coffee table, and laughed and said "oh man...oh well." And find a vendor that will AFFORDABLY transport consigned items to sell and when purchased- your relationship with S&D movers is a rip off! $175 hour + a two hour min. $350 just to drop off a consigned item. I emailed you to verify if that was correct, and the unsigned response ignored the question entirely- and asked "Have we approved the items you wish to bring in?" Again- drop the attitude and answer the question. Lastly, your customers are your best consultants- you are becoming a carbon copy of The Estate Sale Company.
