A table was set to honor those missing in action, thoughtfully arranged by our waitress's young daughters. There was a raffle raising funds for Honor Flight, handwritten thank-you cards for every veteran, and even a small star cut from a decommissioned U.S. flag--each with a message of gratitude. It was powerful and humbling, and honestly, it nearly brought me to tears. The food itself was excellent--hot, flavorful, and served with real pride--but what stood out most was the respect and care woven into every detail of the day. O'Charley's didn't just serve a meal; they created a moment that reminded every veteran in the room that their service still matters. To everyone involved: thank you. You turned a simple lunch into something truly memorable.

What a darling place! We were looking for a place to eat that was heading towards Indianapolis and…read morefound this restaurant. Hubs is from Germany so we thought we would give it a try. The restaurant sits on the Miami river which was very picturesque. They had a bier garden complete with a stage for live performances. We were waited on quickly and they carried Warsteiner, which we enjoyed! We had a friendly and efficient server. The first item we ordered was the Bavarian pretzel with bier cheese. The pretzel was a decent size and tasty. The bier cheese, however, missed the mark for me. It didn't even resemble any beer cheese I ever had. And unfortunately, I ordered my broccoli with that cheese! My husband ordered the Kaiser burger--which sounded substantial and delicious. And I ordered the Mettwurst and sauerkraut. The portion sizes were great! But let me just say--they are no Hofbräuhaus! Not at all! Not even close. The only thing I managed to eat was the Mettwurst and only a few bites and it wasn't that great. And then the potato pancakes? They were cold and tasted like they were fried in old oil. We were starving and disappointed. But coupled with fatigue we were just happy to have eaten and gotten on our way home. The restaurant was pretty packed by the time we left. And people seemed to be enjoying their food. So we may try it one more time--especially because the venue was very German inspired. Our bill came to about 100 with tip. Wished I could have given a better review--sorry!

Lol Ambiance was old strip mall dining. Funny signs throughout. Plenty of seating. I hadn't eaten yet so I ordered breakfast even though it was lunchtime. Thin slice Ribeye steak with 2 eggs over medium, potatoes and my favorite-rye bread. Hubby got a cheeseburger and fries. Someone else wanted to try their chicken and waffles. Let me just say, I was pleasantly surprised at how good my food was. My eggs were perfect, the steak was very flavorful, hubby said his burger was delicious. Our friends daughters are picky eaters and they loved their burgers with Grippo's chips. And the chicken and waffles was a hit as well. I would go back. There's something to be said for places that have been around forever that locals frequent. The only thing I would say is that it was kinda smokey from the grills. Would be nice if they had better ventilation for cooking smoke. Don't wear your good clothes cuz you'll smell like a diner! Lol

My wife had 1/2 sandwiched and soup which she liked. So we will be coming back again during lunch.

Hostess asks for my name, finds my reservation, and says she doesn't know how long it's going to be. Then another lady grabs the tablet from her and yells at her to stop seating walk ins when they're fully booked with reservations and they have no tables. Needless to say we were not seated anywhere near our reservation time. Our waitress was typical of the current terrible service in the restaurant industry. Takes order, brings drinks, and you never see them again until they bring the check. They have food runners bring the food out, so if you need anything, they just look at you like a deer in the headlights and walk away. We really liked the food, which is why I gave 4 stars. The pretzel with beer cheese appetizer is worth driving there for. The burger was very tasty and prepared well. I'll agree with other people in that it is a little too pricey. The appetizers shouldn't be the same price or higher than entrees, and the $3+ sodas are just ridiculous. I can see how some people think it's too loud in there, but I guarantee tonight was as packed as they get, and we didn't think it was too bad. I like the style of the place and the seats were pretty comfy. We would eat here again if we're in the area.
