Most instructors here--are knowledgeable and excellent…read more However, the admissions and financial aid process is misleading and predatory. Prospective students are rushed through tours and quickly pushed into signing enrollment contracts without first being clearly told whether they actually qualify for financial aid. Financial aid eligibility should be confirmed before any binding agreement is signed. Instead, students are locked into contracts first, then sent to financial aid afterward, stripping away any real ability to make an informed, responsible decision. The administration and financial aid staff are fully aware of how this process is structured, and they should be ashamed of operating in a way that pressures people into binding financial commitments without full financial transparency. This is especially concerning given that many prospective students are low-income individuals or people in difficult financial circumstances who are seeking a way to improve their situation. That reality makes this lack of transparency even more troubling and irresponsible. This approach prioritizes enrollment over honesty and puts students at unnecessary financial risk based on incomplete information. Schools should be required to verify financial aid eligibility before any enrollment agreement is signed--not after.

My brother called CHUCK LEONARD today 08/04/2026 at 2:10pm, phone number 559-475-5012, to cancel…read morehis enrollment because he decided he didn't want to attend UEI anymore. Chuck told my brother "Why would you do that? That's a horrible idea". He was laughing on the phone while speaking to my brother during this phone call. He also proceeded to tell my brother "What else are you planning to do with your life". Chuck hung up on my brother multiple times after trying to cancel his enrollment. He did not specify if he was going to cancel it which was why we kept calling for confirmation. Chuck continued to give us attitude throughout the phone call without any information. He was avoidant and rude. If this is the representation you guys are putting out, why would anyone ever want to be apart of this college? Talking down on students who decides to not join your college is absolutely ridiculous and inappropriate. Save yourself the headache and go to city college. A place that will ACTUALLY HELP YOU WITHOUT RIDICULING YOU. Also, the phone call was recorded by YOUR phone call system. I hope whoever the director is of UEI goes back and listen to Chuck's inappropriate comments.

I graduated from IOT's HVAC program in June of 2026…read more I'll try and keep it as short and to the point as possible. To start to all my fellow veterans DO NOT waste your hard earned GI bill on this place there are better options and you can't get it back. This place is a welfare to work school through and through. As a guy who just got out of the Marines as a mechanic I was looking to get into HVAC and IOT had openings in the program at the time I was looking, they have a pretty solid administration office that sells the school and program to you and give you a sense of professionalism when you do your initial tour. Once you sign the papers and start classes is when you see the reality. To keep it short roughly 90% of your fellow students will be welfare sponsored by what's called workforce connection hence a vast majority don't even want to be there, scroll on their phone all day, barely show up throughout the course. Basically If you show up a few times and type a "1-2 sentences on what you've learned" for each assignment you'll pass, I had a kid in the class that showed up pretty much only for the finals and still graduated with no issues. The staff even made jokes about how bad his attendance was but obviously no one cared enough to ensure there was a professional environment where standards were held for the education and student conduct. I also had an incident where my property was stolen in the lab by a fellow student and luckily I caught him and when confronted he threatened to fight me. Im an adult and not going to partake in foolish activities especially at what's supposed to be a professional education center and followed the proper chain of command for reporting the incident and was ensured it wouldn't be "brushed under the rug" and it would be "properly dealt with" long story short nothing happened with the student, no repercussions happened and he was allowed to continue on like normal and graduated a few weeks later. There was also multiple threats and warnings posted due to other students who were attending this institution. There is no accountability to uphold a safe and professional learning environment from the directors whatsoever. Lastly to wrap it up and hit all the main points I'll give some credit from my personal experience with the staff and say the administrative office does a great job at helping you through the enrollment process, the girls at the front desk are extremely helpful and great at their job, the instructors are good people but you can tell some of them are just there for a paycheck and there's not really a lot of learning that will occur. I had multiple weeks where sometimes we didn't even know who was supposed to be the instructor/substitution for the day because they were absent and us students would sit for hours in class doing nothing until the school scrambled up someone to "sit in" on the class. The school really is just submitting your elementary style homework on an E-textbook and taking the quiz at the end of the week. I will say though Mr. Markus does a great job of instructing in person in the labs and the labs seemed to be improving towards the last few weeks of my time at IOT before graduating since he took some feedback from the students and implemented it into the lab work. I also would like to give credit to Jonathan in career services who does come into the class and try and get to know some of the students and potentially help them in their search for a career. There is a lot of downtime that could be used for instruction and learning where people are typically sitting on their phones, the environment feels more like a high school then it does a college, there is no accountability or expectation for professionalism and safety, you'll walk away from here with a few certs you could have paid a couple hundred bucks instead of 20k+ to take online that you need about a day to study for (the school uses the same courses and tests you can do by yourself online and drags it out over 5 week intervals). If it were up to me I would say look elsewhere for better opportunities, but that's really just my opinion based off my personal experience.

IF YOU WANT AN ALLIED HEALTH CAREER SUCH AS: A NURSE, RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST, RESPIRATORY…read more THERAPIST, AND DENTAL HYGIENIST YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!! I've been applying to their radiology technician program since 2021 and here we are in 2026. Not only did they change their requirements but now they are being transparent about how many applicants they receive which was around 1,100 applicants!!!!and only accept 55 students(lottery system)ONCE A YEAR. If I would've known that straight out of high school I would've gladly went to a private school and pulled a loan instead of wasting my time hoping to get accept at FC. SCCCD has so many campuses, but yet they have the whole entire state trying to apply to their programs at one campus. This district is allowing their students to waste money on their prerequisites knowing that their allied health programs are overfilled with applicants. Your chances of getting into a program are almost slim to none.

The entertainment on stage was top notch! Lots of children and adults alike sharing their talents. The tents and tables are right in front of the stage and provided an excellent place to enjoy a delicious lunch. The food and beverage prices are reasonable.

Alright...this is going to be a very real and honest post regarding this school…read more I am a recent graduate of the LVN-RN ADN program. I also attended they're LVN program years before. The ADN program is amazing. What makes it amazing? In 8 months you receive guidance from amazing instructors, you are able to do clinicals at amazing hospitals, and you are adequately equipped to take boards after. 1. I cannot speak anymore highly of the amazing staff. Ms. Cabrera, Ms. Otero, Ms. Salvano, Ms. Cacacho, and many others are very knowledgeable and compassionate for their students. They want you to succeed and help in whatever way they can. 2. These instructors also have worked in these local hospitals and have rapport with many staff members. If you do a good job, you will be noticed. Now, don't be fooled by the negative comments people will make. In order to succeed in this program, you HAVE to give your 100%. DO NOT expect things to be handed to you, DO NOT have a terrible attitude to your classmates or your instructors, and DO NOT whine when things are changed or not going your way. True success in this profession comes to those who give it their all and try they're hardest. Those who take shortcuts may be thriving now, but that will soon end. In a nutshell, if I could go back, I would. This program is amazing. If you work hard and do as you're told, you will succeed and you will make it through this program successful. They provide all the tools to allow that to happen. Good luck to those hoping to apply to this program. It is WORTH it. Thank you Gurnick for everything!

I was told I failed by only 0.5 points, which was extremely frustrating, especially when I believe my scores were not calculated correctly. I also feel I was treated unfairly and wrongfully dismissed from the program. Instead of working with me to review my grades or address my concerns, I felt the process lacked transparency and fairness. Students invest a significant amount of time, effort, and money into their education, and they deserve accurate grading and a fair opportunity to appeal decisions. they need to communicates more openly with students, and ensures that every student is treated fairly and respectfully. please sign up petitions if you think you have wrongful terminations from school and i did not get help you need from school instead failing you and scame the money from you.

I could not be happier with my decision to become a member here…read more It has a great casual and homey, yet productive, vibe. Membership fees are super reasonable, especially considering everything you get. The guys who run the place are awesome and always willing to answer questions and have an abundance of knowledge to share. There's a ton of classes available ranging from soldering to robotics (and one of the guys' wives even runs some crafting classes like knitting and sewing) and they're always working on awesome gadgets for the shop. Their 3D printing projects are super cool! They even have a little shop to buy some hardware. It has a great location within a block of two restaurants, a mini market, and even a bar (we've all had those days). It's only about a five-minute walk to central Tower. Plus, for fellow Pokémon Go players, it's right on top of a gym and a Pokéstop so I can just stock up on items while I sit there working (it's pretty fun when whoever's in the building chips in to help out with a tough raid). This workspace is an amazing new asset to the tech community of Fresno. I encourage anyone who is interested in learning more about hardware like Raspberry Pi, robots, LED integration, or even just looking for a low-key place to surround yourself with like-minded individuals to check this place out. I can't wait to see what the owners, Andrew and Derek, turn it into.
