Super fun. Very helpful staff and super friendly. Very clean and highly recommended!! Love it here!

Such a cute display

I was so excited to be part of this event with Yelp and even more excited once I walked in! Such a great, welcoming environment with so much to create and do. You can definitely get lost in time there, I personally stayed there past closing time but the team was so sweet about it! I will be back again and again, also a huuuuge bonus/ plus is a safety future they have installed which made me fall in love with the place, (growing up with my family in law enforcement I was taught to watch for certain things which does always cause you eases) but these ladies have it down pat! No need to not be at ease here! I'm eager to go back

This was such a fun experience! I felt like I was back in elementary school doing art with classmates while teachers walked around being helpful and encouraging. Drawing the design and then painting it on the dish was so therapeutic and calming. I was in a flow state and I got to have fun conversations while, at the same time, focusing on my painting. I would highly recommend coming here with friends and experiencing this. I think it's fun for adults and kids. And you get a masterpiece that you can use! 10 out of 10 :)

My sisters and I went to a Tuesday try night. It's a 2 hour introduction to pottery experience. You check in and then pick your stations... I would say arrive early, there is limited coat hangers to hang your jacket. And word of advice, leave your purses at home, you will end up putting it on the floor. The instructor will first demonstrate and review the whole pottery process. It is ALOT of information in a short amount of time... I ended up zoning out during the demonstration. The instructor and assistant instructor were very helpful!!! I needed a lot of assistance, and both seemed happy to help! The overall experience was great. The amount of attendees to instructors is a good ratio. Good Dirt Pottery Studio definitely maximizes the amount of time spent wheel spinning-- with no previous experience I was able to make 2 pieces (with assistance from the instructors :P). If you have thought about trying out pottery and wheel spinning, I would recommend this place!

I went on a try night and what a great experience! The instructors were thorough and were helpful throughout. We were able to make two pieces and picked them up a few weeks after when they sent a text that they were ready. I'd be interested in taking one of their beginner classes or coming back for a try night with some friends. Recommend checking it out!

Helpful staff, welcoming atmosphere, and a fun experience are waiting here. I would highly recommend wearing something you feel comfortable getting dirty! I surprised my wife with a visit to one of their Friday "Try Nights" for our date night, where we joined a group of about 12 other people (almost all couples too) to learn how to make a bowl and cup. There was a little hiccup when we arrived since they apparently had a mix up with my reservation, explaining that sometimes their system books incorrectly. So I would advise folks to save your reservation confirmation/receipt and be prepared to show it. We were then presented with a blizzard fast presentation of how to create a bowl and cup. It was honestly so fast and so much information that I stopped listening part of the way through. It seems they do this to make you familiar with the process so you can do it mostly alone once you start, but it genuinely feels overwhelming at first. We were then seated and allowed to dig in, and antics ensued! Given that the instructors do this daily and I do not, I expected that my attempts would be much less smooth and/or successful than theirs, so I wasn't frustrated by my struggles and others also seemed to take them in stride. The instructors were responsive and helpful, at times maybe too much so. For example, I had to restart a project since I'd ruined mine, and after the instructor gave me more clay, she went ahead and completed the initial shaping of the cup for me. It ended up not really feeling like "mine" since she did most of the work, and I wish she would have asked first. The experience was otherwise fun and a nice way to be creative in a pressure free environment.

I attended a "Try Night" at this cute little studio! It was so much fun! I highly recommend! The instructor was hilarious and very knowledgeable about teaching her craft! Would be a cute date night idea or just something to do on your own!

Some of pottery from my 4 week class being put to good use!
Sal A.

I love pottery, and I decided to take a four week class at this location in 2022; after I was done with wheel class I was hooked! i've been going regularly since then, working on wheel thrown and pinch pieces. When I'm in the studio I feel at peace in a natural environment that has become my zen place and one of my favorite things to do on a weekly basis! I love how everybody is so helpful especially when you're new and not familiar with pottery. All the members have become friends and it really feels like a family when you are inside. The space is perfect and very inviting. In fact they just expanded and have so much space to just play with clay!! I love that they have enough wheels that even when a class is in session you still have enough for the members to use! It's my clean spiritual happy place to be and clear my mind & soul! I love when I see homeschool families and special needs kids enjoying ceramics! The staff goes above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable whether you're new, young or old everybody is welcome and enjoys being a part of this clay family! Thank you guys for making it so easy to love this place!

The experience was amazing I recommend bring a friend though. I went by myself and felt very awkward while everyone was laughing with friends and asking friends for help

This was our first day of hand building

My 5-year-old is enrolled in acting as well as a combined music and art class, and my 3-year-old also attends the combined music and art class. Both of my kids genuinely enjoy their lessons and have a lot of fun while learning. I've also appreciated all of the teachers we've worked with, they are fun, engaging, kind and patient! That said, I've found some of the office policies to be challenging. I've received differing information at times, and what I've been told verbally hasn't always aligned with what I signed regarding makeup classes, which has been confusing. Additionally, when the office is closed for holidays, the full monthly rate still applies even if a class is missed that month. There was also an instance when we arrived for class and no teacher was available. While an apology was offered, it was disappointing given the amount of coordination required for our family to attend, and a class credit would have been appreciated. On the other hand, when my children have been sick and unable to attend, makeup classes are not offered. I hope this is useful for others considering the program.

The place is very clean - from the private to group classrooms (even their restroom). There is a yearly registration fee along with a prepaid monthly fee. My child's tuition at the time was $160/month which equates to a once a week/30 minute guitar lesson. They do have a rescheduling policy if the student cannot make their scheduled lesson but chances are they might be assigned to another open instructor if their designated one is unavailable. Unfortunately, my child no longer attends (after 2 years) but only because she has the foundation to progress on her own. The staff here are friendly and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to start learning an instrument.

They typically attend for a two week session and have consistently returned thrilled, having tried many new activities, having loved their counselors and made many new, great friends. Activities include: Horses, Archery, Paddle Boarding, Swimming in the Lake, Banana Boats, Biking, Rock Climbing, and Tomahawk Toss. Our kids report that the food is great, the songs and campfires are fun, the activities are great and there is nothing about it that they don't love. As a parent, it is easy to stay in touch...the Director (who is wonderful) posts a detailed summary each day on their password protected website of what is happening at Camp each day, and about 100 candid photos are posted each day to show what is going on around the Camp. The pictures are a great way to (sometimes) see candid shots of your kids and still feel in touch. The kids are able to get letters everyday and larger "care packages" once a week so you can stay in touch. We have interacted with the owners, nurse, and camp management on several occasions and have been impressed every time. These folks are great professionals! We will continue to send our kids to this remarkable Camp and commend Skylake for being such an oasis. Keep up the great work! Skylake is a dream...a 5-star camping experience!

The staff was friendly, especially the ladies at the front desk. Those were two very big positives. They also fed the kids which was nice. However, my child kept getting incident reports, multiple a day. I started to feel really down on myself as a parent. I didn't know what to do because the behavior wasn't the same at home because she's an only child. I got calls to pick up my child, but I was at work. It was hard. I understand safety is important but my child was not even 2 years old yet. She had to be taught and sending her home wasn't teaching her. She never bit a kid. She was rough or ran from teachers in the class and on the play yard. I feel like that's normal behavior for not even being 2 yet. She needed exposure and to be taught the expectations. I don't understand how she could be doing such bad things to be sent home. I finally ended up pulling her because my husband was told she was sitting in the office for an hour crying the whole time. My husband took off work and picked her up and she was sobbing and couldn't stop. He sent me a video and it was awful. Toddlers should not be treated that way. I didn't feel comfortable. That was not appropriate punishment for her age. I teach 5 and 6 year olds and we don't have them sitting and crying for an hour. I never took her back. Safety is important, I know. They said they were following rules, okay. I completely understand them having to follow the rules. It was just not for my child, so we left. She was there about a month. I waited to review because at the time I didn't know if my child was just THAT uncontrollable. No. I feel like she needed to be taught and needed AGE appropriate redirection/consequences. She's at a new daycare now doing great for the past 8 months!
