With a studio space right on Fulton, it can be easy to miss when walking by. However, once inside, it's a very roomy space! The decor is super cute, there's tons of plants, and the artwork for sale is all handmade (I didn't get pictures of all of it). I even got a sticker for stopping by. Christine also has yoga classes on certain days with payment options that best suit your budget (and I think there's a monthly option as well). There are a few chairs and a couch for lounging, and the staff member that I talked to was super sweet! Definitely a great hangout area or even just for a quick stop by to check everything out!

I've never even taken an art class, but Linda assured me that as long as I had a love of art and patience, I could learn to paint. I'm currently on my seventh painting and enjoying the process tremendously. I highly recommend taking a class with Linda McCoy. I hosted an event with Scarab Creative Arts last year, which is where I met Hannah, of Rose ceramics. She's teaches pottery classes here and she's also an amazing artist herself. I signed up for the six-week intermediate classes from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The cost is $275 and includes everything; clay, supplies, and all firings. All you need to bring is an apron and an open mind. The class style here is free from; just get your clay and go. Hannah walks around and checks in on your progress and helps with anything you need. If you've never sat in front of pottery wheel, I highly recommend taking the beginner class for more of teacher/student model set up. There are other classes offered here beyond pottery like painting, stained glass artistry, and even a few classes for kids. They do host events from time to time in their gallery and have a gift shop where you can try to sell your pieces. I'm excited to see what the future has in store for me when it comes to my pottery. I might just end up becoming a member here!

I joined Workspace around March 2017 after a competing workspace, Hashtag, moved into a basement…read more Workspace is located downtown, inside the Pacific Southwest Building on Fulton Mall, on the third floor. It's a lovely, light space with huge windows and a rustic but modern interior. There's a shared kitchen and sitting space, and lots of options for small business owners and freelancers looking for shared office space. There are a few tiers of membership, including small offices (approx 1-4 desks), set desk space which you can rent, and a rover membership which allows you to hot desk - ie. sit at whichever desk space is free when you arrive. There's also a conference room which members can rent out. Most memberships include some monthly allowance for conference room time by appointment and some printing. I had a rover membership for 3 months, which at the time was priced at $100/month. I really enjoy the space and the desks are great. All uniform, nice and wide with ample depth to work in too, a desk lamp, and a set of drawers underneath where you can store your things while you're there and lock up temporarily if you want to leave things safely inside while you go out to lunch or meetings. The office manager was friendly and helpful. The only things keeping me from using the space at the moment are: The price - it's considerably more expensive than Hashtag, though it is a considerably nicer space too. The community - it's still early days and there aren't a lot of people to network with yet, at least there weren't when my initial membership ended. The construction on Fulton Mall - it's not a pleasant space to get in and out of at the moment, though I'm sure this will vastly improve once the construction is finished. So, to conclude, I love this place in theory, but it wasn't quite working for me in practice at the moment. But I do plan to re-join once the Fulton Mall is finished and my work schedule allows me to make it downtown more often.
