We used to go to AKIM for baby Ninja class. I highly recommend it. It is so great to see the kids…read morejumping around and learning the balancing skills with hand eye coordination. I love this class. Each time I took my 2 1/2 years, now 3 1/2 year old, I could see him getting more confident. The result has been that our couch and mommy/daddy's bed have become playmats for tumbling. I had to stop going due to schedule conflict but if it works out again, I will certainly be back. The teacher we had was great! If you can't commit to a scheduled time, you can do a drop in. You just need to call the morning of the class before 10:30 to see if there is room for a drop in session.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. While the staff were initially friendly and…read moreattentive during the enrollment process, that level of professionalism quickly disappeared once classes began. As a first-time parent enrolling a child in swimming lessons, I expected clear guidance and basic support. Unfortunately, very little was explained on my child's first day, and when I sought clarification, I was met with dismissive and unhelpful responses. One staff member, Eileen, came across as sarcastic when answering questions and made me feel as though I was inconveniencing her simply by seeking information that should have been provided from the outset. Another incident was with a younger staff member at the front desk that appeared disengaged and does not care about what's going on around her, often ignoring customers who were trying to get assistance. On more than one occasion, she rolled her eyes when people attempted to get her attention, which I found highly unprofessional and discourteous. Overall, the customer service was disappointing. The contrast between the welcoming attitude shown during enrollment and the treatment received afterward was striking. Based on my experience, the staff's lack of communication, attentiveness, and professionalism significantly detracted from what should have been a positive experience.

Our first experience with the business was their website. It is kept up to date and has all of the information you need. Our next experience was their parent portal. It is so easy to use. I love how easy it is to find and register for classes. I also love that you can check your athletes progression toward his or her skills. Then we actually got to go to the gym for tryouts. It is a simple process, and everyone is so kind and welcoming. The owner was present and willing to answer questions. I loved how honest and up front he was. The coaches push the athletes to be there best and work hard, and as a result I observed some of the best tumbling technique I have ever seen as I watched the practice that was running at the same time as tryouts. We are still deciding if we can do the hour (each way) commute twice a week for tumbling and cheer, but if she does choose to cheer it will be here.

Horrible experience. No matter your skill level your tumbler will start at level 1. Your tumbler…read morewill get stuck at level 1 for an unknown amount of time, no matter how good they are. The coaches are rude and offer no feedback to the tumblers. They appear lazy and disengaged. You are NOT allowed to watch and will receive dirty looks and a phone call if you do. This place is a huge waste of money and will offer no growth when your tumbler is leveled down under their level despite doing skills near perfect, there is always a slight deduction they will notice. When you question them they get defensive and rude and will treat your tumbler with even more criticism. Horrible coaches, horrible system, horrible customer service. Please take your business somewhere else and do NOT allow your tumbler to be belittled and torn appear by them further diminishing their confidence.
