Kevin is so cool. He backed up the trailer and put my "stuff" exactly where I wanted it.

I added Fresno Bark because there wasn't a listing on Yelp! and there should be. I decided to build some planter boxes and shopped around online for a delivery of planting mix. Fresno Bark had no minimum delivery and they had the best price. The owner, Kevin, is a super personable guy and he was so helpful. He delivered within hours and the quality of the planter mix was the same high quality mix as other places I looked at. I was really happy with Fresno Bark and I will recommend this company to friends and neighbors. And when it comes time to order pea gravel 9the second phase of my project) I know who to call.

I still had some work to do to finish. It did turn out perfect though.

Kevin was awesome to deal with. He was on time with the delivery, was up front about the cost and friendly. He's also knowledgeable about the product and helped with recommendations based on the size I needed. Would definitely refer him.

Last winter I purchased compost and humus for my raised garden beds. The owner was super nice and delivered right on time. He was very helpful and made sure I was adding the right stuff to my planting mix. The compost worked very well! My veggies grew nicely!!! His prices are the best... and I shop around for everything!

As a woman of color and a small-business owner of almost a decade, I don't take concerns about profiling lightly. I know when an environment feels genuinely unwelcoming or when there seems to be real prejudice behind an interaction--there are antique shops in Old Town that I personally choose not to shop at for that reason. Here, though, I haven't felt that kind of ill intent. From what I've observed, the attentiveness feels pretty generalized. This really is a marketplace made up of many small, independent vendors who have put a lot of time, money and pride into what they've created. There are a lot of different faces moving throughout the store and checking on things, and I've noticed that attentiveness seems to be pretty consistent throughout the space. I can understand why being checked on frequently might make someone uncomfortable, and I don't want to dismiss anyone else's experience. At the same time, theft is unfortunately something small businesses have to worry about, especially in a marketplace filled with unique, often irreplaceable pieces from dozens of individual vendors. The person being watched may have absolutely no intention of stealing, but that doesn't mean theft hasn't happened before or that these micro-businesses don't have a reason to be protective of their inventory. The bag policy also doesn't strike me as unusual. Goodwill has had similar policies around larger bags and backpacks for ages, and plenty of stores ask customers to leave oversized bags at the front. Honestly, in an antique store my bigger fear is turning around with a giant tote and accidentally taking out a shelf of Fenton glass. Personally, I try to interact with the people working and selling there rather than immediately assuming the attention is directed at me personally. I've found there is a real sense of community among the vendors, and many of them are genuinely excited to talk about what they've collected and created. And honestly, that may be part of why I find such good treasures here. Vendors seem comfortable bringing in interesting, valuable and unusual pieces that I don't necessarily find in places where merchandise isn't watched as closely. For me, that makes eclectic house worth exploring.

Fake luxury goods and perfumes along with fake costume jewelry cheaply made - it dampened the experience for me. I'm a big fan of MCM and 1950's martini cat and atomic art . I searched and I did find some martini cat pictures but they were newly made and blurry - low quality prints. There were some mcm furniture pieces though but not a lot of artwork or decor. I appreciate the concept and all the vendors that partake. It could be a one -stop -shop for people. I am certain inventory changes quite a bit. This can be someplace I will check out from time to time but it isn't my top choice as it is not a true antique shop.

While searching for a specific item, I approached several employees for assistance. Rather than taking a moment to help or walk me to the product, I was simply pointed toward the other side of the store and left to continue searching on my own. One of the reasons customers choose a neighborhood hardware store over a large box retailer is the expectation of knowledgeable, helpful service. Unfortunately, that was not my experience during this visit. I felt ignored and unimportant as a customer. Based on this experience, this will likely be my last visit to this location. Customer service is what keeps people coming back, and if improvements are not made, I believe the store will continue to lose loyal customers.
