    Chicken, apple salad, and smoothie

We stumbled upon this place and we're pleasantly surprised. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious and reasonably priced. The surface was friendly in the atmosphere was enjoyable and clean. The smoothie was delicious along with the chicken apple salad! A fabulous healthy alternative

Went here twice but ordered the same item- Hi Fresh which is a watermelon and cucumber juice. A VERY refreshing drink after a day at the beach. Both times there was no one at the register so I had to wait a while , evening after ringing the bell. But the juice is redeeming.

I love their green juice. It's so good and healthy. The blended one is good too but it's too thick for me. Highly recommend their green juice!

This is the third Fresheria location I've been to now and even though it's not the best of all three, it was still really great. I loved my chicken wrap and that the woman who took my order allowed me to get it without cheese and chipotle sauce. She also accommodated my requests to order my blue kale smoothie with vanilla protein and coconut water instead of whole milk. I will say, the smoothie had a bit of an odd texture and consistency. That is most likely because I made some alterations to it, though. It separated a bit and was more like a juice than a smoothie. It still tasted very good and was an extremely refreshing drink. The service was again great because despite being pretty busy, they were able to make our food in only about ten minutes. Definitely one to try some day!

Service is okay. I have came back several times because I live nearby, I recommend their smoothies and acai bowls you cant go wrong with those. Gave their sandwiches a try twice 2 different visits and only had a couple bites each time, I was not satisfied.

Overall this was a tasty meal. I ordered from DoorDash for breakfast. I got the egg white omelette with no cheese and the oatmeal pancakes. The omelette was a good size and packed full of veggies which was great. It did however come with this bland stale bread which I didn't even bother to eat. Luckily I got the oatmeal pancakes on the side! They were definitely dense... but pretty good for a healthier version. Two complaints - on DoorDash you chose your fruit topping and I selected apple, which I assumed would be sautéed apples but no... it was just a slab of raw apple which would be very weird to eat with pancakes. So that was useless but I did eat the strawberries which came on it. The only other disappointment was they promote healthy eating and give a healthy pancake option but then provide smuckers syrup on the side which is basically corn syrup. Come on fresheria, you can do real syrup!! But all in all I would get both again!

Tried the cheesesteak torta and it was tasty. It took a while for it to arrive since I ordered it via ubereats and it was still pretty good. This is the first time trying anything from this location as I usually hit the one off Beyer Blvd down south. Fresheria has a variety of healthy options and their detox smoothie is always hitting, especially after a bender ;).

    Very Bery Smoothie large

Plenty of seating but getting our food took forever even though there weren't many people in front of us. It seemed like people kept getting their food before us. We got a chicken torta (delish), very berry smoothie (pretty good), and strawberry banana smoothie (not great). The torta was big and flavorful so exceeded my expectations the strawberry banana smoothie was just super icy and bland. The color was super light and h could barely taste the strawberry or banana for that matter and that's hard to do because banana is cheap and gas pretty strong flavor on it own. I expected way more from an $8 smoothie.

Grabbed lunch in the area. My husband found this place hunting down a hearty food option in southeast San Diego. There aren't too many in this area. Parking was great. They have a huge lot. Lots of outside and inside seating. I got the chicken sandwich with a side salad. It was fresh chicken was well seasoned. We also got juice that was freshly made very tasty. Service was very good. Food came out quick. Will Be back to support.

Come here often for acai bowls! I ordered on app and still had to wait a few mins. They are always busy. Acai bowl hit the spot.

Absolutely Love finding a healthy cute place to eat. This place was busy when I arrived, busy with to go orders as well. I noticed they keep up well with all the orders. I ordered horchata latte, chicken pesto sandwich that came along with a salad and a mango chicken Bowl. Great price , great food great service I will be back.

Unassuming little spot in university heights with the best açaí bowls you can ask for. Super fresh with generous portions.

I told my friend the food was worth the wait. After an hour we got sat at the bar and our first server was friendly. There was a transition of servers (not sure if he left for the day or went on lunch) and the new server would check on everyone at the bar except us. My water remained empty for most of the meal. The bartenders in front of us were clearly having a conversation and I didn't want to interrupt. My friend claimed her Irish coffee was sour? And didn't realize cheese came on a side of eggs (she should've checked when she ordered but the server never clarified either). We weren't checked on during the meal until the bill came and by then we just wanted to leave. I ordered the fluffy pancakes and found an egg shell inside. The cracking of eggshells in my mouth made me loose my appetite. We paid (still tipped of course) and left. It was great the first time and mediocre the second time. I prefer consistently in service, especially if I'm waiting an hour to be seated.

We had spent most of the day around Bankers Hill and decided to grab an early dinner at Books & Records. Getting reservations was easy, but from the moment we walked in, the ambiance alone already had us sold. The place was still pretty quiet when we arrived, and to our surprise it was happy hour, so naturally we ordered a bunch of items off the menu along with drinks. Everything was ridiculously good. Not one miss. What really stood out though was the attention to detail. The host brought us a complimentary glass of champagne after hearing we were celebrating our anniversary. Small gesture, big impact. Stuff like that matters. As the night went on, the restaurant filled up, live music started playing, and the whole atmosphere just came alive. Our waiter never rushed us once, which made the experience feel even more intentional and relaxed. We were able to actually enjoy the moment instead of feeling pushed through dinner service. Good food is one thing. Great hospitality is another. This place gave us both. Next time we're in San Diego, we're absolutely making it a point to come back. Lovely spot. Lovely experience.

Cramped and loud, but nicely decorated and serving solid authentic meals. Mexican Latte-9/10: Pretty straightforward. A solid, nostalgic spiced coffee. Mazapan Latte-10/10: A novelty menu item, both nostalgic and tasty. With a sweetened condensed milk rim and mazapan dust, this sweet coffee is a must order. Chilaquiles-10/10: Cocina 35 knows how to throw down the best Mexican breakfast item: the chilaquiles. The Verde was good but didn't pack much heat. The Salsa Secreta was our favorite; a creamy 3-chile salsa with an artichoke flavor, this one packs an enjoyable amount of heat. The Chipotle was another yummy and creamy option, making your nose run but still very enjoyable. Frijoles Puercos-7/10: They were pretty standard. I've definitely had better. They served their purpose as a good side. Concha Rellena-7.5/10: Another creative menu item. Whipped cream and whole strawberries sandwiched between two french toast-style concha halves and drenched in cajeta. It was sweet and warm, but would've been more enjoyable with fresher and/or sliced strawberries. Fun to order, but a regular concha is better suited for enjoying with your coffee. Service-6/10: Again, Cocina 35 gets packed, so service isn't as attentive. Our party had to order and wait for water, ask for refills, call the server over for more orders and again for the bill, and wouldn't speak to us in Spanish. I witnessed other tables be spoken to in Spanish, but upon ordering I'd only be responded to in English. I know I'm a white Mexican, but native tongue is nice when I make it clear I'd like to order in Spanish. Overall, a fun spot with solid menu items. The samplers are pricey but probably the best bang for your buck. They do the classics very well, and are very much worth your visit!

Another table was also talking about this issue. Bacon was way overcooked as well. I also really dislike when food timing for a table is way off.
