It went early morning on Monday, so the store was bit quiet. Not many people and all the vegetables and fruits looked fresh and fully stocked. Another great things they had almost all of Indian grocery in stock. But everything was way expensive, specially Asian grocery. I have shopped there before but recently the prices seem to skyrocket. I prefer No frills to this store now. The staff is helpful, welcoming and Freshco does price match but confirm with the store about what stores they price match with before buying. They do have a big self checkout section so billing can be pretty quick. read more

Please consider hiring professional security guards in uniform individuals who are well-trained and presentable, rather than people who appear unprepared and are dressed in casual, unkempt clothing. I wish I could give this location zero stars. I only came here because they have a halal Kabul meat shop; otherwise, I always prefer shopping at Metro or Highland Farms for everything else. read more

I don't usually do my regular grocery shopping here, I usually only come here on the way home from work and need to grab a few items. This location in particular is so frustrating for a couple of reasons, 1) They don't have any carts inside or near the entrance outside, they just don't have an area for them at all. If I park close to the entrance and run in, I would have to go all the way back outside, past my car to the outdoor cart shelter to get a car. That's really terrible logistics. Even when I asked the cashier for help finding a cart, she said you'd have to go outside. 2) The ground is really dirty, you can definitely tell they do not clean the floors often enough. Not only is there dried up liquid on the ground, there's flyers, extra plastic bags and other junk there too. 3) The staff aren't the most helpful Fresh Co. usually has a good selection of vegetarian Meat Alternative options like Tofurkey Chick'n for a good price. Wow, I haven't been in such a chaotically organized grocery store in a long long time! This was a refresher course. Carts loaded with plants lined the entrance way since gardening season is in full swing. You'll find a Pharmacy onsite at this FreshCo. The produce section for the most part was good with clearly marked prices for sale items. Skids for some products like watermelon, oranges, pears or cantaloupes replaced regular table displays; bulk picking. Once you're in the heart of this store, prepare for an obstacle course of skids of product waiting for shelving; it's overwhelming as a shopper how crowded things are. Definitely takes away from a normal grocery shopping experience where aisles are even slimmer to push your shopping buggy through. There are enough specials to lure a target customer base for this area into this store. I also found that these people seem to shop and then drop all sorts of items off anywhere they feel like it when they change their mind. I feel sorry for staff cleaning up afterwards as finding poultry in a non-refrigerated area means instant profit loss for the store owner! Well, I completed my grocery task today and scored a few deals. Store staff was helpful locating things if you had questions. Checkout is fairly quick and the cashier thanked me. Too bad I couldn't give a higher overall rating. read more

I actually travel pretty far to come to this store. And when stuffs on sale it's worth the travel. The staff is pretty nice and helpful. The place is clean. When it's on sale they pretty well most of the time have it in stock. I especially like their chicken/meat sales. Most places tuck skin & fat under and when you get home you have to trim up and toss a bunch of crap. This place doesn't thumb the scale as it used to be called while the other cut rate grocery chains do. I give them thumbs up for that, And when poultry/meats on sale they have an over abundance of it. That's a winner. read more

I complained to the head office of Sobey's (Fresh Co's parent company) and on their Facebook page regarding the filthy condition of the store this past Saturday (June 19, 2015). Here's my complaint: Your store at Lawrence and Midland was DISGUSTING yesterday. The floor was FILTHY and there was LOTS OF GARBAGE outside (mostly flyers) where you pick up the carts. When I complained to the manager I was told "you must not shop here before on a Saturday - we're a very busy store". I WALKED OUT AND DID NOT BUY A THING! Most grocery stores are very busy on Saturday but I've never seen a store in such gross condition. I will NOT shop there again and I'm taking my business to No Frills at Brimley & Lawrence or No Frills at Cedarbrae Mall - two stores that are ALSO VERY BUSY but not half as dirty. Avoid this Freshco at all costs! While it is slightly a step up than the Price Chopper that uses to occupy the place is still horrible! I went to buy a pack of salami today and realized when I got home that it expired 15 days ago.... When browsing for salad I also noted a lot of them had expired 2 days ago! Eek! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this store. It's sort of like an upmarket No Frills. The prices are pretty low, there's a good variety of generic brand products (the Compliments brand) and the produce was neatly and brightly displayed. The place was SPARKLING clean. Also, it had a high ratio of staff that were attractive males in the "just barely half my age plus 7" category, which although doesn't actually mean anything to me, makes shopping there just that much more enjoyable. The only drawback for me was its lack of Asian products, but that's easily fixed by the Asian grocery store across the street. read more

I've complained twice now to the Manager and to an assistant about the poor conditions at this store. You have to fight to find a cart that isn't broken, linked together or that will accept your quarter. Three customers were trying to get the carts apart. I went into the store to get help. They are always out of 2%L of milk. The dairy area is filthy. The milk cartons don't roll forward and if you are lucky to find a 2%L of milk you can't reach it. Unfortunately this is the closest Freshco to the retirement home I am visiting several times a week. Terrible store. I could go on with complaints. I try to avoid this store if at all possible because it is so frustrating to shop in. read more

Grocery chain with spacious free parking in the heart of Scarborough. Just like any other grocery chain this services the local neighborhood offering a wide variety of fresh produce to non perishables. I like shopping here because the cashiers are very efficient and the prices are usually lower than their Toronto counterparts. Just like any other stores this place gets busy on weekends so come early. read more

Im a customer at freshco and i always go and shop there about 2 hours and a half ago i went walking there and my house is far but i had to go because my son needed lunch for school , i went there and i didnt hear them saying were closing in 15 minutes i was busy looking for food for my son then all of the sudden this man comes up to me i think it was the manager and he was like lady we closed 5 minutes ago and he said it in a sarcastic And rude way. He had time to talk and say he closed but he didnt have time to cash my groceries and he was like return your groceries back sorry is he ordering me ???!!
