I love this place. The food is tasty and so nourishing. I love to get their falafels and smoothies, healthy yet a treat!

Finally got to try Fresh Twist one afternoon when we were looking for a cool and refreshing pick me up to get through the workday. I ordered online and was able to schedule a pick up time very easily. The difficult part came in when I had to choose what kind of smoothie I wanted! They had so many delicious sounding combinations and all for very fair prices. I ended up settling on the Strawberry Banana Babe that had, you guessed it, strawberries and banana, and vanilla protein powder along with ice and almond milk. For $9, you get a large portion size and the added 20g of protein for under 300 calories. I got a text about 2 mins early saying our order was ready. We pulled into the massive parking lot and walked in to pick up our drinks. The ambiance is bright and clean with some plant decor and fun colors. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, but only a few tables each. Inside, they have some other conscience snacks and beverages by check out. Our order was waiting inside a mini fridge (so cute) by the cashier. We were in and out in less than a minute. I can't wait to come back to try more of the smoothie flavors. read more

Their food is SO good! I don't care for their smoothies though. They're expensive and I've had better for much less $$. Some of them taste the same to me and are not sweet enough :/ BUT I keep coming back here for their bowls and other food options. Their customer service is friendly! That is what I expect in the food industry so it's nice to be given my order from a smile and friendly customer service from nice girls! Other people working behind the counter at places to eat I've gone to in Steubenville are not friendly and are completely rude, so customer service is really important as to whether or not I will give my money to the business. Stopped by here for some meatless meals for lent. Vegan store, so everything is meatless and most is dairy free or can be customized. I got the "this sundae is fire" and it was absolutely amazing. Their smoothies are such a hit and their granola is the best I've ever had! Definitely worth a stop. read more

Fresh fresh fresh....did I say fresh! I NEVER thought I would eat tofu in my life. I mean I like meat! But I was pleasantly surprised to try the Asian Chick'n Wrap. It really did taste like chicken and was flavorful. I opted for no avacado this time because it was too overwhelming last time. There are so many goodies in this tasty deliciousness that you don't even miss the avacado. The wrap was so stuffed I had to opt for a fork to ensure that I didn't miss out on any bite of veg! This is definitely big enough to share and pairs nicely with their seasonal smoothies or my fav the Alani Nu energy drinks. I love that their menu is always evolving to add new and unique items. I'm originally from the Ohio Valley area and the fast food options are pretty limited to the traditional chain restaurants. I saw a few posts on Instagram from friends who tried this place and made it a point to stop today while visiting. There are so many options, but I went with a build your own bowl with mixed greens, sundried tomatoes, pickled onions, edamame, avocado, fajita veggies and a chipotle lime dressing. The meal was delicious and filling. All of the ingredients were very fresh and the portions are perfect for being $11.50. The smoothies looked great - I'm low carb so I tried to order the Pink Wig Veggie Berry smoothie and add a scoop of peanut butter, as the menu recommended for a "PB&J" twist. I clearly said this and the young man who took my order just said "Pink Wig". I tried to specify that I wanted the veggie berry option since I didn't hear him say it and he then said they don't have that? A little confusing. I just changed my order to the matcha smoothie, which was very good - but not low carb since it has bananas in it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Oh well. The layout was a little confusing with how to order, and I wish I could have tried the smoothie I wanted - but they just recently opened so I'm sure these things will smooth out in the coming weeks. The atmosphere is bright and inviting with a few shaded patio tables and a small sitting area inside with big bright windows. Seriously worth every cent. The Buddha Bowl, half rice and with romaine and kale, was the best salad I've ever had! The sesame dressing was delicious and not oil heavy. It was perfect. The sweet potatoes are perfectly cooked. Rice was perfectly cooked as well. I typically do not like a lot of flavors together but it all went together so well. I don't know how they do it but the smoothies taste just like there names. The protein in smoothies is pretty grainy. You can feel the texture of the protein when you're drinking the smoothly. No staff wears masks, including back of house. Customers aren't required to wear masks either. The food is good, don't get me wrong. However, it's hard to order when the employees are complaining about you wearing a mask while making the food. Also, they have some gluten free options, but are not Celiac friendly; more for people who are gluten free as a trend. All gluten free food is prepared on the same dishes as regular food and cut with the same utensils so lots of cross contamination. I really did enjoy coming here for the longest time, but with no one wearing masks and caring about Celiac, it's really hard to want to come back. read more

My first impression was that Fresh Twist has a very clean and modern look appealing to the healthier crowd. The area lacks fast food options outside of the standard fare so I figured it would be nice to try something different. They appeared to have good quality ingredients, but it's a very confusing setup. The menu the worker referred me to is a DIY assortment of greens and various vegetables, which is a nice idea, but overwhelming to build for those without much background knowledge. I had read that they were well-known for their smoothies but there were no clear visuals about smoothie options, so I asked what kind of smoothies they had. The worker said "Matcha, Pink Wig, Purple Rain..." without any explanation as to what those were. When I asked for a general overview of their ingredients the worker seemed annoyed but provided them for me. I ordered the Purple Rain. While I was waiting, another worker came out and played on his phone without acknowledging me, but I had already been waited on so it wasn't that huge of a deal. My smoothie came out within a few minutes and it was a tasty start to my morning. It was on the expensive side at $7-$8 for a meal replacement but that's a pretty average price for that sort of thing. $9 for a smoothie?! Mine wasn't even completely blended; with chunks I couldn't even get up the straw, having to get a spoon. It was like they just blended it with a spoon and poured the chunky concoction into a cup. I also ordered the falafel wrap. I could get more flavor out of my produce I pull from my backyard and thats before washing off the dirt!
