This company charged us a total of $735.00 for seven cleanings. Their quoted rate was $35.00 an hour. After we complained, they refunded $110.95. Previously, we had one person cleaning our 2200sf home in above 11/2 hours. This time, we excluded one guest room and one bedroom from the cleaning. We also picked up many items off the floor. On one occasion, one person was able to clean in about 11/2 hours. On September 25, 2019, two persons spent 11/2 hours to clean, but missed one bathtub and two toilets. We also found they left floor polish residues on the kitchen baseboards. Unlike before, they left a sweaty smell, which prompted me to open windows. I'm simply trying to get the floor of my business cleaned for the past month. I did manage to talk with a live body a couple weeks ago and thought we had a tentative agreement to get my floors cleaned. WRONG! Not only am I still trying to get my work completed, but all I've heard from Fresh Start Cleaning is crickets and even they are flakey! I've left numerous messages and haven't even received a courtesy call back. I'm only still trying to hire these folks because they did do a good job last year, but I'm afraid I must be moving on. I can't think of one plausible excuse why I can't even get a call back. Do they not want my money!? WTF? I'm amazed they are still in business with very poor customer service. Someone needs to be FIRED like yesterday. I'm so mad and disappointed. read more

When another cleaner flaked on me for my massive move-out clean, Tammy answered my emails desperately searching for a quote from anyone else who could do the job on such short notice. Despite being late in the evening, she responded quickly to each reply and we were set for the next day "between 1 and 1:30". We pulled up to our old house at 1 on the dot and her girls were already there and had most of their gear unloaded. It was quite the circus since our property management company had contractors assessing the damage from some flooding that had happened late the previous week, but they said it was no problem at all and set to work in the areas where the contractors weren't in the way. Despite being extremely fast (yet thorough!) and working steadily, they started approaching the quoted end time and still had quite a bit to finish. Tammy came down to relieve one of the girls who needed to leave and worked with the other for another hour. When it still wasn't quite finished (it's an old house with lots of nooks and crannies!), she graciously offered to come back in the morning to finish. We left them with a key and they got the rest of it knocked out in a couple more hours in the morning. While the price tag will always be a little hefty after two people work for eight solid hours, their hourly rate was quite reasonable and made it well worth the effort saved. I never would have gotten through the move-out checklist if it weren't for these amazing ladies and their ability to shuffle things around to accommodate me. With everything else that went wrong this week, they were the one thing that went right. First cleaning g was great and then everything went downhill from there. Often times the toilets were not cleaned.

I met a couple of amazing angels today. Fresh Start Cleaning sent Xiomara and Mary Jane out to do a "move out clean" on my house which had been rented... I just happened to schedule them for today of all days...which seems nuts now considering how I unlocked my front door to discover a busted dishwasher hose gushing water from under the sink, and a partially flooded kitchen. If it hadn't been today, that water would've run until Saturday and I'd be dealing with a major water damage claim. But these two angels were super calm and awesome, had all the water mopped by the time I got back with a shop vac, and then continued on their work. They even stayed super calm and awesome after finding a giant cockroach infestation...and fleas. I seriously cannot say enough good things about these gals and their business. We had Fresh Start Cleaning clean our house this week. It was a bit of a fiasco. My wife contacted Tammy, to schedule a cleaning of our 2150 sq ft 3 bedroom, 2 bath, home. We wanted a spring cleaning, with cleaning of mini blinds in 2 of our bedrooms, and larger blinds on our bedroom sliding glass door. Plus wipe down the fronts of the kitchen cabinets, clean the baseboards in the dining room and entry way. We were given a bid of $535. We have 2 small dogs, no kids, just my wife and I live in the home. I don't believe anyone visiting our home, would consider it filthy, though it was dusty. We recently had the furnace and vents cleaned and we wanted a thorough cleaning of the house. Our cleaning team, Tabitha, Lavana, and one other girl, who's name we don't know, arrived on time at 0930. They were scheduled for a total of 12 hrs, between them, so we anticipated that they would have the house cleaned in about 4 hrs. My math shows that the $535 bid for 12 hrs, comes out to $44.58/hr. One person started on the bathrooms, one person started in the kitchen, and another started on the blinds. At 1300, 3.5 hrs of their planned time had gone by, and they had just finished the bathrooms, kitchen, and blinds. They explained to my wife that their hours were used up. But the floors had not yet been vacuumed, or mopped. So they asked if she wanted them to keep working? I assume they were in contact with Tammy, the manager/owner. We were advised that it would cost another $183, for an additional 6 hrs at $30.50/hr, for them to finish the job. This seemed to be a bait and switch, because our initial bid, and plan included cleaning the floors. One of the cleaners had sent photos of our home to Tammy, showing dust on glass lamp shades in our bedroom. Needless to say, we were not especially happy, to have the price increase. I want to add here, that I'm not sure how the initial $535 estimate was made, but I would think that is more than adequate to clean a home. I found $718 excessive. Tammy called my wife and told her, that "our house was filthy", so she had to charge us more to finish the work. My wife's response, was anger. Tammy then called me, and threatened to have her staff leave at that time, and also threatened taking me to small claims court, if I refused to pay her. Needless to say, that didn't go over real well, so asked Tammy to meet me at our home. When she arrived I went in and inspected the home, rooms that I was told were completely cleaned, had cob webs around the ceilings, corners of the carpets were not vacuumed. Each room I went into, still had areas that I pointed out, that were not cleaned, some of them very obvious. Tammy seemed as though, these were unreasonable requests. Her and her cleaners continued to clean for an additional 2 hrs. Now with that all said, the house was cleaned, quite well, but it shouldn't take me pointing out areas that they missed. Again I think $718 is an extreme amount to have a home cleaned. Would I use them again? Not likely. The bait and switch, and telling my wife, that the home is filthy seems unprofessional. Wonderful. Definitely will use if I ever need a cleaning service again. Absolutely recommend to everyone. I was skeptical about having people in my house cleaning. I usually just do it myself but have a lot going on and need help to just have a deep clean. They sent 2 people who were both there 2 hrs so although a big job they got it done relatively quickly and did a great job. Little things I didn't even expect them to do they did. They were professional friendly and efficient. And I think it was a very reasonable price as well!! read more
