I attended the practice and met James Pegg and his team who were all very friendly, welcoming, and made me feel very relaxed and at ease. They took great care in listening to me and understanding my concerns and in return I got nothing but encouragement, and not one word of criticism! After my first consultation he explained what could be done and the results I could expect. He also provided me with before and after photographs of other patients who had previously been to him for treatments. He gave me the confidence to put my trust and teeth in his care.I saw Jon several times, firstly to take photographs and to prepare my teeth for the fitting of veneers. So it's with this in mind that every trip to the dentists is now a case of "God I hope this is just a quick in and out affair" and luckily it has been since the initial painful seatings! Manchester Dental Practice is situated just above the Ruby Lounge on the high street and the staff are always pretty friendly, the dentists and assistants are always pretty young guys and up for a chat/laugh. I've never has any problems with bookings here and you can change an appointment with 48 hours notice without being charged. They also have a hygienist that you can see at the same time as check ups if you book in advance!

His advice on maintaining dental health was realistic and achievable, ie. you don't need to quit sugar just reduce how regularly you have sugary foods and drinks; try to floss 3x a week if you can't do it every day. He also didn't try to talk to me while I couldn't speak, which my old dentist always did, so annoying! Reception staff were all very friendly and helpful. They are a good dentists here and have an excellent service. They are known for their implants such as false teeth etc. So with a service like that, you know you are going to a well respected dentist. I had a polish here and have to say I was impressed with the results. The dentists are friendly and talkative and make sure you know how to brush your teeth properly and help you buy the right products for your teeth. They are great.

I've since had a few dentists but in June 2009 with a new dental insurance plan returned to Julian. His surgery is really rather inconvenient to get to if you don't live in the moorlands. It takes me about 40 minutes to get here from either Stafford where I work, or Newcastle where I live. His prices are undoubtedly high for dentistry but he is thorough in his work, I've never had a problem and I'm sure I've never paid for unecessary work. In fact Julian is BBC Radio Stokes on air dentist, so that should be an indicator of how good he is with all his patients.
