Thinking back to the first time I ever stepped foot inside true dentistry, I can't believe that one lady and her devoted team could change my life so much. I was born with a genetic tooth disorder called Amelogenesis Imperfecta, in layman's terms this basically means I have no enamel on my teeth so they are very discoloured and sensitive. From the age of 6 I started to have treatment on my teeth on the NHS but they only agreed to crown the front four as anything more would be classed as cosmetic. I was bullied terribly at school and had virtually no confidence. I point blank refused to smile or talk in front of anyone who was not in my family. After attending a private clinic in Manchester for a number of years, I had most of my teeth crowned. But due to the distance and the cost of the treatment I decided not to attend anymore. Everything was fine for a number of years but I began to notice a lot of discolouration around my crowns and eventually around 6 came off and I was back to square one again. Afraid to smile and no confidence, which as a young adult in her early twenties was horrific! I started to look online for private dentists in the Bolton area, and came across True Dentistry (was kendalmere back then). I had a look on their website and read some reviews and I was impressed so I made an appointment for a consultation. I was quite nervous at first as there is a certain stigma surrounding private healthcare organisations. Would they think I wasn't posh enough to attend? It all seems really stupid now I know you all! At the consultation we discussed the various options I could take and I felt under no pressure whatsoever. The choice was mine. I decided to get all my teeth re crowned. After 2 years the work is finally done. It has been a long journey but it all seems worth it when I see pictures of myself and I am actually smiling!! From stubborn wisdom teeth and receding gums to nerves that won't go numb when instructed to do so, it's all been worthwhile! The care and professionalism that the staff at True have are second to none. I could not wish for a better dentist, in fact I don't class you as my dentist anymore. You're more of a friend. Not many people can say they have their dentist as a friend on facebook! Lubna's staff; Natalie, Suzanne, Tracey and Angela are amazing, dedicated ladies who make my trip to the dentist an enjoyable experience. Nothing is ever too much for them, even babysitting my son when I had to have my wisdom tooth out, (thanks for that Suzanne!) Thank you ladies! Especially Tracey, who worked hard with me to get my dental hygiene spick and span I would recommend True Dentistry to anyone and I often do. I had an abscess that, over a number of years, had formed above my front tooth, which was on a post. My options were to have a bridge or an implant. After an in depth discussion with Lubna and here staff, I elected to have an implant and also the three remaining upper front teeth, which were crowns, replaced. The treatment was unsurpassed, I experienced professional, expert, excellent care and felt absolutely no pain throughout the entire process. My teeth have always been even and straight, so I was concerned that the new teeth wouldn't look as good. I had no need to worry, we whitened all my teeth and the new ones looked even better than the old. Another bonus was that I could now bite on my front teeth with confidence, which I had been unable to do previously. As a small child, going to the dentist was basically a traumatic procedure. Being really nervous and literally holding onto that dentist's chair, finding a good calming dentist who I could rely on to comfort me when I needed it has been a very difficult process. In fact it has taken me 25 years! My experience at True Dentistry in Lubna's hands (who I'd now call a friend!) has been so different. She is a hero to me!
