I hate going to the dentist so I'm never going to award a dental surgery five stars. Like, ever. But the Bupa Dental Centre is situated on St Anne's Square in the middle of Manchester city centre so it's super-easy for me to get to - less than a five minute walk, in fact. The staff are friendly and my dentist explains everything he's doing as you lie there, mouth wide open and shaking at the thought of what's going to happen next. One thing that bothers me though, is that they will try various tactics to get you to part with more cash. I know that's probably the case for any dental surgery these days, but about a week ago, they called me and recommended a clean, which would set me back £40. They said it's not essential so I politely turned them down. I mean, why pay all that money then eat something an hour later which will just make a mess of your teeth again? Ridic! I'm having quite a bit of pre-wedding dental work done here over the next few months so may report back with more details but at the moment, Bupa Dental Centre are going to have to settle for a simple 'meh' from me. read more
