After my insurance was no longer taken by the doctor they only gave me 5 days prior to find another physical therapist which was pretty short notice. The young lady was not knowledgeable till what date o was able to be serviced . After no longer being a patient I needed a referral and my plan of care as well as just documentation of how many visits I've had for court and seeing another physical therapist She told me the doctor was on vacation for 2 weeks and I wouldn't be able to get anything needed . I was a bit confused seeing as I told the doctor I needed this days before my insurance was no longer accepted by their place of business. When I was ready for to get my documents after Much fighting I was in extreme pain by the time it was ready for pick up and couldn't move. My finance had to pick up the referral and wasn't able To get it till 2 weeks after . When he arrived the same receptionist that gave me such a hard time only gave him a harder time and the referral I already had which made no sense I needed a referral from them and a plan of care they didn't even follow while I was there and then when my fiancé asked For documentation of the dates I've been seen she said I had to request my medical history. I then called her on the phone to explain again what I needed and she was rude and spoke over me and had a very nasty attitude and I had to yell over her because she was so nasty. Crazy thing is both me and my fiancé would be seen there with no issue except for with this particular receptionist.But however she gave my finance what I needed and continue to tell him I need to learn how to speak to her. She is absolutely atrocious for her manner , behavior and her from of speaking to guests. I honestly loved his place till she became sooooo rude and spoke over me and the last straw was her inappropriate behavior telling my fiancé "I need to learn how to speak to people" I think its your receptionist that needs to learn to not be rude and speak over others or make Comments in that manner especially to my fiancé. Couldn't even suggest a bathroom near by that I could use . For office manager please train your employees on empathy and that your providing a medical services for people already in pain . Also distinguished the difference between an appointment and a walk in . Patients also have other priorities and appointments to do on a day off , waiting over 20 min without even checking in on patient is horrible and complete disrespect of their time . Please do better

The physical therapist literally forgot what my injury was and then tried to argue with me about what part of foot was injured (!). He seems like he probably knows his stuff, but he immediately passes his patients off to his very young and inexperienced PT students, who will barely watch you (or even leave the room!) while you do exercises. Sometimes I'd have to remind them what exercises were written on my chart, because they are paying so little attention. This is not what good PT looks like. There are many good PT places in NYC, avoid this one like the plague.

I came here after going to another PT office for about 10 sessions. I injured my right knee while hiking and was diagnosed with a possible meniscus tear. I was told that I may need surgery, but tried PT first. The previous office left me with left knee pain on top of my right knee issues. I was able to get an appt fairly quickly in January 2021 and the front desk person was very friendly and patient. The first couple of sessions were standard diagnostic, manual massage, stimulation machine, kinesio tape, and exercises. On my third session, I felt like I was in a torture chamber in a third world country. Dr. Samir, though I wonder if he should really be called a doctor, wanted to work on my right IT band which was really tight. I am not sure if he just used his hands or a tool, but he started doing a rolling motion along my IT band. It was painful and I flinched and told him it hurt. He said it had to be done and that I should count from 1 to 10 to ease the pain. I did as told, but it was soooo very painful. My eyes were clamped shut and fingernails dug into the flesh of my palm from the pain. I was writhing in pain, yet he kept working on my leg. Yes, I should have been more assertive and said no, this is too painful. However, I assumed that he was the professional and knew what he was doing. This was obviously not the case as I ended up with a huge bruise as pictured. I went back for my last session and he barely worked my leg. I assume to prevent more injury. Again, he said it had to be done. He is not a good listener, the golden rule of patient care. He saw that I was in a lot of physical pain and did not provide an alternative. He basically said suck it up and bite through the pain. He is not professional at all and should not be seeing patients. Perhaps I really should consider taking legal action as this was not right and no other patient should experience.

In their public response to my review, the practice claimed that I berated staff, yelled at staff, and "used the f word several times at different office assistants." That allegation is completely false. I take accusations like that very seriously because they are attacks on a person's character. I have never spoken to their staff in the manner they described. If they have evidence supporting those claims, they should provide it. To date, none has been provided. What is particularly disappointing is that these statements came from a therapy practice. I would expect a counseling office to handle disagreements professionally and focus on facts rather than making public accusations about a former patient. Even after all of this, I am still seeking clear answers regarding the underlying billing and insurance issues. Instead of addressing those concerns, the practice chose to respond with allegations about my conduct that I know to be untrue. At this point, my concern is no longer limited to the billing dispute itself. It is the decision to publicly portray me as someone who verbally abuses office staff when that simply did not happen. Prospective patients can draw their own conclusions, but I believe people should know how this practice responds when a customer raises concerns.
