I love Fresh Kitchen! Huge fan of the one in Tampa and was happy to smell the familiar smells and see the same line up to fill my bowl with delicious healthy, fresh ingredients. Best of all, this location is huge and has so much parking! If you haven't been here before, it's basically a Chipotle-style restaurant where you order bases, meats, veggies, proteins, and toppings. Seafood, beef, extra toppings and dressings are an additional charge. My favorites are kale slaw, sweet potato noodles, mushrooms (favorite), broccoli, and tofu. I don't need the dressings, since everything is very flavorful, but I would get the coconut siracha or cucumber jalapeño. To top it all off, the meat is antibiotic and hormone free. You start by selecting your size bowl (no plates).First is the base (salads or glass noodles ). Then add your choices of vegetables. Then the proteins, and finally the sauces and any extras. My wife's "4 Bowl", $7.95, was very satisfying and filling for her. My "6 Bowl", $9.95, with the addition of tomatoes and feta cheese (+ $2.00) was also very satisfying and filling. Everything was very flavorful. Staff is eager to let you try items before making your selection. There's no alcohol served (but, if you ask the manager nicely. ...see my tip). Y'all! If they had one of these in Atlanta...I would be poor! I ate lunch here every day that I was in Sarasota--except the last day because we left before lunch time! This is the perfect quick service lunch or dinner place--and you don't feel bad about it because everything is healthy! You basically build your lunch--you get two bases on the 4 or 6 bowl. Some of your options are quinoa, spice rice, coconut rice, sweet potato noodles, kale salad, sweet potato mash, etc. I tried the spice rice, coconut rice, sweet potato noodle, and kale salad. All were good! My personal favorite was probably the coconut rice. Then, you pick your veggies. One for a four bowl and two for a six bowl ( or you could sub out veggies for a protein if you didn't want that). I tried all the veggies except mushrooms--not a fan! But the other veggies--so good! My favorite was the chimichurri cauliflower & parmesan broccoli. Eggplant was also very good. The only one I didn't prefer was the brussels--they seemed a little undercooked. Then--your protein! I always got tofu--SO good. Just the way I like it. Last, pick a sauce. Coconut Sriracha & the holy kale were my favorites. You can ask to try some if you like. The best part is that all the food is spiced really well--so it tastes fine without the sauce--but also tastes really good with it. Great concept We made a visit to Fresh Kitchen this evening. I had looked over the website and learned about selecting different types of food to go into a bowl. When we walked in it was probably obvious it was our first time. A cheerful person greeted us and was very willing to help us. My wife got a menu to look over and I learned where to start. Once we got to where the bowls are filled with food, we were greeted again by another upbeat person who helped us select our bowl size, our basees, vegetables, proteins, and sauce. When we were done we both had bowls of food, and even with our learning curve it was a quick process. For mine I chose bowl #6, which allowed me to select two base ingredients, I selected a spicy rice and a sweet potato mash. For my two veggies I went with roasted mushrooms and Brussel sprouts. For my two proteins I had their BBQ chicken and a citrus chicken. I also picked a white cream sauce that I used but didn't need to, because the stuff in my bowl was very good on its own. Every ingredient stood on its own and it all worked well together. They promote themselves as healthy, and if you can mix healthy and delicious together you really have something. Of our entire visit the only thing I didn't like was they didn't offer Coke or Pepsi products. I live for diet Code. Fresh Kitchen is my go-to place whenever I come out of LA Fitness or whenever I feel I need a super healthy meal. Three things I love about the place - first, it's fast. They run it cafeteria style and the folks behind the counter keep the line moving. I don't think I've ever waited more than five minutes to get my meal. Second, healthy and tasty choices; everything they serve is delicious and yet, good for you. Third, it's priced right. I save about 40% over a similar meal in a traditional sit down restaurant. This is my favorite stop for a quick meal. I plan my schedule to make sure I am hungry to eat in Sarasota on the way to/from travels on 1-75. Fresh kitchen always has 8+ bases in hot or cold, 5+ veggies, 7+ proteins, and 5+ sauces. You can get the 6 bowl (2 bases, 2 proteins, 2 veggies, 1 sauce), four bowl (2 bases, 1 protein, 1 veggie, 1 sauce), or kid's bowl (1 base, 1 protein, 1 veggie, 1 sauce). The seasonal mash is always on the menu and is either mashed sweet potato or potato and cauli. Either choice seems to be hand mashed as their is typically large chunks of potato. Don't be fooled by the cauli mash. There isn't much cauli in the regular mash. Since the food is served from skillets, I've found that sometimes my protein and veggies can be dried out. This is typical so DO NOT be afraid to ask for a new serving is something is not up to standard. This time my broccoli and baked almond chicken were both hot and moist. The dessert selections are both awesome. The zucchini chocolate brownies are soft and chocolatey. The chocolate chips cookies are so yummy I've been looking for a copy cat recipe. Both desserts are DF, GF, soy free and vegan friendly. If you have to eat fast food, fresh kitchen is where you want to go! read more

We love this place! Healthy, healthy, healthy selections that are specified as to diet needs (ie gluten free, etc). Every selection is tasty and not dry/overcooked. Mix and match your bowl ingredients Chipotle-style depending on how big of a bowl you want. I love their Cafe No Moo (dairy free cold coffee drink) for $5. Only comment to management is to have staff be a little more consistent on portions.
