I was curious to try this place out because of the reviews. I have never found the idea of a "bowl" for a meal as something appetizing but I was VERY SURPRISED ! Let me tell you if you think this place is NOT for you...I encourage you to give it a shot. Review the online menu in advance as ordering can be a bit tricky. I chose kale slaw and cauliflower mash as the 2 bases. One is hot and one cold. The cauliflower mash REALLY is good..not like most places because it really does taste like mashed potatoes. I choose the brocolli and then the almond chicken. I asked for the sauce on the side and I am glad I did because I tasted the sauce and would not have liked it over my meal. The price was great and I was FULL when I left and comforted that I had a TASTY meal for a good price that was HEALTHY for me as well. I notice everything is gluten, dairy free so a great option for people with dietary issues. Pro Tip - You can sample something before you order to better ensure that you are going to like it. This was the second time I've tried Fresh Kitchen. The first time I thought it was good but not amazing. I went through the line and they were out of mushrooms and green beans so I had to go with my third choice, broccoli. I chose tuna which is an upcharge and added tomatoes, another upcharge... but they were great. Now let's switch to my second visit ... It was so good . We went through the long line but it moved really fast. There was a new addition, a broth combo. You choose 2 bases, 1 veg , 1 of 3 proteins , almonds and broth. I chose coconut rice and noodles and then added kale (1.50), mushrooms, giant roasted and amazing, added marinated tofu and lots of the almond slivers. The broth is in a separate container and could be hotter. But it made an amazing brothy crunchy delicious meal. I paired it with their cucumber juice. It was great. I love Fresh Kitchen! They definitely get five full stars! Staff always present themselves in a helpful and upbeat manner. The located is clean but can be packed during lunch hour. The prices are reasonable and the selections on the menu is the best! They do have some seasonal items that gets exchanged throughout the different times of the year. I came here on opening day and came back for the Yelp 30% promotion. I was impressed both times! Talk about delicious! This was a great reminder to come here for lunch/dinner in the future. My coworkers and I came here a little after they opened and there were already people sitting and enjoying their meals. This time I ordered two scoops of sweet potato noodles, sesame green beans, chia seed teriyaki tofu and the teriyaki chicken. YUM. I may have found my go to from now on haha. Not a big fan that the sweet potato noodles are cold but I order them anyway because they are THAT good. I enjoyed the chia seed teriyaki tofu more than I expected to. I made this decision based on a couple of Yelp reviews and am glad I did. I found that my combination did not need any sauce whatsoever and that was even better! You could spend upwards of $15-20 to get a bowl with everything you want. Sometimes they are stingy with the servings so I leave feeling like I spent $14 on a snack. Yet another in a long line of Chipotle concept restaurants and yet another restaurant in this corner shop by Best Buy. It must be the highest turnover shop in the plaza. I always enjoy going to Fresh Kitchen whenever I need a post gym meal or if my last meal was super heavy and I need a less guilty meal. It's pretty fast paced so unless you're going during lunch rush you can go in and out pretty quickly. I usually always go for the 6 option bowl for a good variety and it's usually more than enough to fill me up. Kale slaw and cauliflower mash are my go to, the mash taste just like regular mash potatoes. BBQ chicken and teriyaki chicken were my protein choices this time but I prefer the BBQ because it has a nice charred texture to its bite, teriyaki isn't bad but I always get buffalo chicken instead when it's an option. And my favorite sauce is the coconut sriracha which I think gives a nice flavor to the rest of the bases. read more

First time eating here. Prices are from 7.99 - 11.99. The staff was very upbeat and smiling which is good. I ordered a six bowl which was $11.99 but since I got avocado it was extra. I was hoping it was included with the six bowl unfortunately not. They had a 2-3 of choices to pick from, from the salads to the veggies and proteins. My bowl consisted of brown rice, spinach salad (2bases), grilled citrus chicken and bbq chicken (2proteins) , and double broccoli (2 veggies), as u sauce I got recommended a ginger sauce, I also added avocado. As far as the portion it was a good size for the amount of food. The taste of the food was good everything I picked mingled well. Unfortunately my only two gripes is that my chicken was to chard so it over powered the dish itself and the chicken wasn't hot enough which I didn't like. The veggies mainly the broccoli were cut in huge pieces with the long stems. All in all I would come back. If you're looking for lots of veggies and salads this is your place. read more

I had to go Christmas shopping and I'm currently diet restricted so I was looking for something on the East side of town that could accommodate my needs. A quick Yelp search yielded this suggestion so we headed in to check it out. I love that they cater to allergen diets and that the specs are clearly listed on their menu. I also liked that it was quick to get a bowl made even though there was a line, it went quickly. I didn't love that they didn't have some of their menu options available and that the replacement ones were things I couldn't eat but I have so many diet restrictions right now I can't get mad at them for that. I don't remember exactly what I ordered but some components were BBQ chicken, citrus chicken, mushrooms, sweet potato noodles, coconut rice, beans, and avocado. All of their options are gluten free and most are dairy free, so it's a great place to bring people with food allergies. I live in Clermont and my first question was when are you putting one out on this side of town. The concept is a newer one and I have seen it a few places, just none local. Basically think new style cafeteria! Everything is freshly cooked and healthy. You pick you plate and make it just how you'd like. You can pick from the 4 or 6 options but you can add and subtract and customize it to be just as you want! You can make it a broth bowl or a salad easily as well. You'll choose from the bases to start and move to veggies and then pick a protein. You can choose your sauce and some add ons as well. The choices do rotate based on seasonal availability but that just keeps it interesting and keeps people going back. I need to get there for the buffalo cauliflower I'm told. So what did I pick? Well, I had the mashed cauliflower and sweet potato noodles as my base, the broccoli and added mushrooms for my veggies and then the baked almond chicken for my protein. It was a hard pick because there was so much I wanted!!! Sooooo good. And sooooooo fresh. Again, how about one in Winter Garden/Clermont? I decided to check out Fresh Kitchen out of curiosity. I was very happy to find out that there is healthier food option in the Waterford Lakes shopping plaza. We arrived an hour before closing on a Saturday night and the restaurant was pretty empty. I decided on the 4 bowl and my boyfriend decided on the 6 bowl. The two bowls were only a dollar difference. Next time when I come back here, I would probably get the 6 bowl since you get more options and food for just a dollar more. For my bowl, I went with the sweet potato noodle, sweet potato mash, brussel sprouts, steak and cucumber jalapeño sauce. The bowl tasted delicious and fresh. My favorite part was definitely the sweet potato noodles and mash. I was not a big fan of the cucumber jalapeño sauce and had a taste of my boyfriend's coconut siracha sauce and liked that one way better. Also, for some reason, I thought that this restaurant was a vegan restaurant. However, the proteins are actual meat. It didn't bother me as I am not a vegan, but just an FYI for those who may be under the impression that the restaurant is vegan. I also got a fountain drink and tried out their peach mango tea. It tasted delicious and I would definitely get it again. Overall, a great, healthy and feel good restaurant experience. I know that I will be coming here plenty more times. read more

We absolutely LOVED Fresh Kitchen! And by "we" I mean me, my husband and my almost 4 year old! Which I was surprised about since kids and healthy food aren't always a good match. We had grilled chicken with coconut rice and cauliflower mash. I also had a side of sweet potatoes while my hubby ordered the broccoli. All of it was sooo good! My son loved the chicken and rice, so much flavor! Such unique takes on healthy food in my opinion. I really enjoyed the different sauce options as well. Our bowls were light enough to not feel overstuffed but yet a great portion of everything for the price (me and my son shared one bowl). This place was a great healthy lunch option! I love build a bowl places and Fresh Kitchen is now among my favorites. Everything was extremely fresh and healthy (as the name implies). The menu was very easy to figure out as you really only have two options. "The Four" or "The Six", each with a different mix of bases, proteins, veggies, and sauces. All the food tasted delicious and the veggies were great! They even shy away from traditional Coke or Pepsi brand drinks and instead have a great selection of teas, and smaller brand sodas made without corn syrup. While it was a bit pricey, the quality of food and portion sizes more than made up for it. I was very happy and will definitely be back again! read more

Man, I am a sucker for assembly line restaurants. A little of this, a little of that....everything I want and nothing I don't.....it's great! This place is another one of those bowl joints that are becoming super ubiquitous (thank goodness!). You start with a base of grains or greens or both, add some layers of veggies and protein, and polish it off with a sauce. They offer different size bowls, some with a higher number of components than others. They also have a wide array of teas and pure sugar sodas. My partner and I shared a smaller sized bowl since we were just looking for a snack and it was divine. The coconut sriracha sauce was fabulous! We also tried some of their teas, which were also very tasty. My only complaint is if you wanted to sweeten the tea, they only have regular sugar, which we all know is nearly impossible to melt into cold tea. Some Splenda or Stevia would have been nice. I hope to see more locations, preferably one closer to UCF/Oviedo. If you happen to be in Waterford and want to eat something that doesn't make you feel disgusting, I highly recommend this place. Also, a great addition to Waterford Lakes for vegetarians/vegans, which brings me to my one complaint about some of the components: they were not vegan, although they easily could be. This could be a nearly perfect vegan restaurant if they could nix the dairy from some more of their components. read more

The marquee is pink, cute and very inviting. Walked inside and the decor is the same. I was immediately greeted by an employee who asked if I had been there and proceeded to show me how to order. The ordering process is Chipotle-ish and pretty simple. You pick a base, with options of sweet potato noodles, coconut rice, kale salad etc. You can pick either 1 or 2 veggies like Brussels sprouts, kale or mushrooms. The mushrooms were perfect! Then you add your protein..different chicken and vegetarian options are available. Everything was fresh and tasted good. My only complaint was since the food was serving style it's hard for it to stay warm so some of the hot entrees were cold. They also have fresh ice teas and sodas that are all made of real sugar cane. This place was nice and I would visit again. You can get a meal and a drink for less then $15..kinda much but affordable for a fresh food spot with vegan/vegetarian options. read more

Tried it for the first time. I was told when you walk in you smell Brussels sprouts and sure enough you do. You start with picking your base, I choose brown rice and sweet potato noodles. Noodles was chilled and both had good flavor. I was wary of the noodles but have them a chance. My veggie was Parmesan broccoli and the citrus chicken with white ginger sauce. You can choose a base of potato noodles, sweet potato mash, white or brown rice, etc. then your veggies or spicy cauliflower, mushrooms, artichokes or broccoli, etc then the protein. My favorite is bbq chicken and almond chicken. The taste is refreshing and the sauces are interesting but not needed and good for dipping on the side. I went with my boyfriend to FK yesterday and the experience was good! I enjoyed the food there and the staff was also very friendly as well. This was our first time here and we were surprised to find out that it was a "chipotle" styled restaurant where you go through a line picking what base, toppings, and extras that you would like. I decided to go with the FOUR bowl. Vegetable quinoa, sweet potato noodles, roasted Brussels sprouts, bbq chicken, add in salsa, and the ginger dressing. My boyfriend got the SIX bowl with coconut rice, romaine, Brussels sprouts, roasted cauliflower (if my memory serves me right), tuna poke, the almond crusted chicken, and a sriracha sauce I believe. We also decided to be spontaneous and get the immune shot as well as a drink to taste test the variety of teas. Can I just say that HEALTHY has never tasted so good?! Everything was very fresh and flavorful. I'm kind of sad because the portions were sort of small but overall it was a good experience. Price wise, it is a little bit pricey but you're definetely paying for the quality of the food and it is GOOD quality. I would expect spending $9 plus per person.
