The food is outstanding. I particularly like the goat curry. They're open late and the service is speedy. The ambiance includes, florescent lighting, worn out decrepit furniture and plastic utensils. It's all about the food at Fresh Curry.

Chicken tikka masala. Previous order, 2 days ago the rice was in the smaller container and the chicken that was in the larger one!

Excellent food being made here. Not many authentic places like this left in the Tribeca area. Photos don't do justice.

With that in mind, I don't say this lightly: this restaurant delivers the best Indian food I have ever had. The highlight of the evening was, without question, the lamb chops. Perfectly cooked, exquisitely spiced, and unbelievably tender--they were quite simply the best I have ever tasted. Every bite was a masterclass in balance and flavour, elevating a familiar dish into something truly unforgettable. What makes this place exceptional goes beyond the food alone. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful--striking that rare balance between professionalism and personal connection. From the moment we arrived to the time we left, every detail was handled with care and pride. The ambiance only added to the experience: elegant yet welcoming, with an atmosphere that encourages you to relax and fully savour the moment. It felt less like dining out and more like being hosted. In every respect--food, service, ambiance, and that all-important personal touch--this restaurant operates at a world-class level. A truly outstanding experience and one I will be returning to again and again.

The interior might not be up to HGTV standards but we can't all be the property brothers. Some of us need to just go with the flow and that's exactly what the owners did here. The furniture is cute, inoffensive, and nothing special. The service? Immaculate. Mostly because they gave our table a free mango lassi. That's how FREAKING kind and friendly the staff are!! They are tremendous. Best place ever.

After an hour of waiting for our food, the three tables around us who arrived after us already got their food and were nearly done with their meal. We ask about this twice, and each time the owner says all three tables "pre-ordered" their food. I was confused and asked every table if this was true and obviously it was not. Before leaving, we confront the owner about the inconsistencies in his story, but he just double downs on his lie, alleging that we don't understand how a restaurant is run. For some reason, he even started to yell at the busgirl who was trying to get him to apologize? In addition to holding us hostage for an hour and continued lying, he tries to make the racist point that Indian food is more sophisticated and takes longer to prepare than other types of Asian food. I feel there are certain standards in the NYC service industry given the competition, and this was a confusing and unacceptable experience. The food was admittedly good, but not good enough for them to have the attitude they had.

We finally got to try it out and I really loved the beautiful design, elaborate lighting and nostalgic pictures inside. Even the bathrooms were tastefully decorated to match the very Indian theme. My friend who's Indian and had been there many times was in charge of ordering. These are the dishes we shared. Amritsari Chole Tikka Murgh malai tikka Mutton sukka with butter naan and garlic naan Achari chicken with basmati rice Rabdi with lychee. Everything was beautifully presented and had so much flavor. The butter naan and mutton were some of my favorites. I am not someone that can handle a lot of spice and I found the food very spicy but I had to eat it because it was so good. My friends are Asian and seemed fine with the spice level. The rabdi dessert was the perfect ending to the meal. This was so creamy and delicious. I would return just for this dessert alone. The only shortcoming were the drinks. They looked very cool but the flavors were just not good. The delicious food and ambiance made up for the drinks. This place is expensive so I would come for a special occasion and be prepared to pay accordingly.

For drinks I started with the chai martini cocktail which looked prettier than it tasted. The mango lassi was delicious though! For food, got the Paneer roll which was tasty and tangy, and the Bone Marrow app which was a nice presentation but honestly it was just marrow. For mains we got the Butter Chicken, peas rice, and butter naan. All were very tasty, but nothing was super memorable. We finished with the lychee dessert which very good but very sweet. Service was good and the restaurant is pretty, but not a standout for me.

However, we never really got to it, having been busy exploring the Semmas and Bungalows of the city. On a cold Saturday evening my partner and I decided to give Indian Accent a shot - got rather last minute reservations over the phone. They were kind enough to accommodate us for a 7 pm slot, and once we got there we were seated immediately. We chose the four course menu, and found each course to be better than the one before! The shorba (soup) and garlic kulcha amuse bouche was a nice touch to get things started - loved the tiny terracotta mugs. Proceeded onto the shakarkandi chaat and the chilly pork roti - the former reminding me of the delectable street food in Delhi winters with the latter being a very good Indian rif on birria tacos. The star of the show for me was the Tofu medu vada - so unique and flavorful and melt in the mouth! I've not had anything quite like it before. My partner had the wagyu kebab that he said was excellent! For mains we had the chicken malai and the paneer - both tasty, but by this point we were already so full, and had to get most of the mains to go. But because there's always room for dessert, for our final course we scarfed down doda barfi with ice-cream and sticky toffee banana pudding - both of which were finger licking delish! Our service was great too - Ty our server was so nice and had the best recommendations. I'd have never gone for the tofu medu vada among all the other options and he urged me to, and it really turned out to be the highlight of my meal. The cocktails were good too. All in all, I think this is such a nice upscale Indian dining spot for a night out in the city. Having tried most of the other trending newer spots, i think Indian Accent sits right among the top! I'd highly recommend and cannot wait to be back!

Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday. $46 for a 2-course brunch is a great deal for an elevated meal, especially since the two courses come with a side ("accompaniment"). Quick heads up if you've been to the original in New Delhi, while they share a name, the New York experience pales in comparison. New Delhi is a full tasting menu with bold, unique flavors and presentation. New York is much more westernized, a fusion fit for the American palate. Service was consistent throughout, though not the most helpful when it came to menu questions - don't expect much guidance if you're trying to decide between dishes. They start you off with a tiny mug of pumpkin soup, creamy and delicious. The burrata comes as a big ball of cheese with crispy lotus root for scooping. The dal with naan as your accompaniment is a generous portion and the dal is beautifully flavored. The tawa paneer has a lovely presentation but the flavor didn't stand out. Coorg black pork was moist and paired perfectly with the cracklings. Best part of the meal was the Truman Bazaar cocktail - Truman vodka, suze, and tomato foam. Sweet, bitter, and spicy all at once - a genuinely unique combination.

Our goal was to avoid anything too spicy, and we were able to do that while still getting a lot of flavor. *Eral Thokku (Tiger prawns): Recommended by several people at the restaurant. The prawns were cooked well, and the sauce was rich with a bit of texture and some spice. *Gunpowder Dosa: The most fun dish of the evening. A big portion, crispy on the outside with a very soft, curry flavored potato filling. Comes with a variety of sauces that makes it easy to keep eating. *Roadside Kalan (Mushrooms): Another strong dish. Fried battered mushrooms on top with a spicy mushroom stew underneath. *Annasi Pazham Scallop: Good, but one of the less memorable dishes of the evening. *Valiya Chemmeen Moilee (Lobster Tail): Very rich and flavorful, similar to a curry sauce. We were quite full by the time this came, so it was a bit hard to fully enjoy it. Service was very friendly and helpful. They walked us through the menu in detail, which was especially useful since we were not familiar with many of the dishes. We also had to wait a bit longer for our table, and they brought us glasses of champagne, which was a very nice gesture. The ambiance is fun, lively, and comfortable.
