We are so glad we came here. I had their 2 eggs (over well) with home fries (with onions and green peppers) and the pork sausage patty. It came with toast (white with jelly). My breakfast was supreme. The eggs were perfection! My lovely had pancakes. She got 3 good sized pancakes. She added crispy bacon (3 slices). She came hungry but couldn't get around all 3 cakes. I helped. The cakes were grand even without syrup. I've been making cakes for decades and never nail what she ordered. The bacon was excellent. She had hot tea and I had coffee. Their coffee was first class; I had a refill. Our waitress was awesome. Super friendly and helpful. I believe the owners were on premises. They engaged with customers and the staff (always a good sign). If I'm right, one even manned the grill. We Ubered here from the TWA Hotel, which isn't even 15 minutes away. Be sure to hit the right pickup location in your app. We are so glad we came here. We arrived hungry and left full. Highly recommend.

It's very nostalgic staff are very friendly place was clean, which is must, I ordered breakfast which you can order up until 4 pm two eggs over medium with toast, grits and a salmon cake Now I don't need to remind you not everyone can cook grits, LOL When the food arrived hot. It was Delicious. I was intrigued by those entering the establishment who were greeted on a first name basis you could tell they had been been patronizing the place for years and even though it was my first time visiting this establishment, I was greeted with the same warmth and care. I never felt rushed if there is a negative that would be they don't take plastic but other than that if you're looking for a warm pleasant place to eat breakfast because that's all I had, I recommend the place. I'm definitely going back trying either the lunch or dinner menu.

By far the largest breakfast sandwich I have got from a deli. This things had at least 2/3 eggs and felt THICK. Definitely will fill you up. Although big it wasn't the best, I am not sure what type of cheese they used but something was off just didn't have that classic flavor, but not bad. Service was excellent exactly what you want from a deli stop in the morning. In and out and super courteous. The deli itself has a large selection of good from fresh fruit to pre packaged goods like a mini 7/11. Although I didn't try it the fried chicken cutlet sandwich looks absolutely incredible. They were working on what appeared to be a 4 ft sub when I came in and I will be re thinking any future subway stops.

There are lots of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This diner offered a discount for paying by cash. I ordered a breakfast of 2 eggs, ham and hash brown with rye bread. My visit to Cross Bay Diner was overall okay, but there were several areas that could be improved…read more The breakfast was average. The sausage tasted stale, the egg portion was quite small, and the pancakes were a bit tough to cut through. The French toast was good and was probably the highlight of the meal. I also ordered the pancakes with Nutella, but they were very bland. Instead of simply drizzling Nutella on top in circles, it would have been much better if the Nutella had been incorporated into the pancakes themselves for more flavor. The service was decent, but I had to repeatedly ask for coffee refills, which was disappointing. Another concern was that the diner does not provide plastic utensils, nor do they offer hot water to sanitize the silverware if requested. The ambiance can also be an issue depending on where you are seated. The restaurant was very loud, and the tables are placed very close together, causing customers to frequently bump into chairs while moving around. Overall, my experience was satisfactory, but there is definitely room for improvement in both the food quality and dining experience.

I jokingly asked about the beer prices to the main counterman who didn't reply. Just stared at me stoicly, so I figured it pointless to hit on any other conversation at that point.
