After a long 7 years and miles of driving to Scottsdale and central Phoenix.. I found the best stylist within 5 miles of my house! I have to admit I was nervous and apprehensive when I drove up, but once inside I felt a feeling of calm. It felt right. And it was. Melinda was warm, friendly and her salon was decorated so cute! Spotless. I felt so relaxed I soon poured out my hair struggles to her that spanned the last 7 years.. and showed her pics of the "good old days" before I moved and left my fabulous Chicago stylist behind. As we talked i was so thrilled to learn she was not only from Chicago.. she was a trainer at the salon where I had been going! She cut my hair dry.. just really going over and re shaping my last cut. In less than 10 minutes I saw my hair transformed! I hugged her and cried happy tears all the way home.. well on the short 5 minute drive. I've just moved here and was looking for a salon. I read the reviews for the French Salon and decided to give Melinda a call. She scheduled me at a time when she would have the time to talk to me about what I wanted out of my hair, showed me some options for hair color, and discussed the pro's and con's of bangs. I told her to choose the hair color that would best suit my coloring and to clean up my hair to suit my face shape keeping in mind that I don't like to spend a lot of time messing around with my hair. The color is SPOT ON and the cut she gave me makes it so easy to style, even air drying it! The prices were very fair for the services I received, and I thought Melinda was very welcoming and professional without being pretentious. I had a great experience with Melinda. She was very personable and I enjoyed her company as well as her capability with my hair. She listened to my hair history with no judgement (multiple in-home bleaches, yikes! lol) and listened well to the requests I made for hair color. My hair turned out awesome and the red color I opted for stayed longer than I hoped for paired with the silky shampoo/conditioner she recommended. This is for sure a place to go to if you want someone who listens and gives you exactly what you want. Military Peeps!! WOW! Melinda is indeed a magic colorist! I walked into her Salon this afternoon with off-color, badly streaked hair! New to the neighborhood, I just wanted to get my hair its usual monthly retouch! Well, I walked out a new person!!! My new color is sensational, with highlights and low lights. The cut she gave me is exactly what I wanted, and it looks wonderful! I stopped in to my wife's hairdresser to get a haircut . I was meeting a customer and my hair was really a little too long. I had to wait 15 minutes to get in but it was worth it. She is unbelievably nice and exceptionally talented. My hair is really hard to cut because it is so curly, but she did a fantastic job. (My wife said she would).
