I was in need of a smog check for my car, so I went on Groupon and found this spot. The price was unbeatable! I called to see if an appointment was needed, but it wasn't. This worked out platter for me since I wasn't sure what time I was going to get there. This location was a bit far from my home, but I didn't mind the scenic drive. I arrived in the afternoon and was immediately serviced. I showed him the Groupon, and he took less than 15 min to complete it. I paid for the certificate (less than $10) and was out the door. I've been here twice using the Groupon deal. It's a small place (one stall) nestled between a tire shop and the tire shop's installation bay. The smog shop can only accommodate one car at a time, but the wait on my 2nd visit was short with only 1 car ahead of me. Phung the smog tech was straightforward and very friendly. Good solid guy! He reviewed the additonal fees with me showing no hidden charges as seemingly most people misinterpret what's covered in the Groupon not realizing there are separate fees for the smog certificate. Overall, I was in and out of the shop withn 30-minutes. I would come back here again if they continue to offer Groupon specials. Otherwise, it's a bit of a drive for me as I'm in the next city over. read more

Great service. I came in around 9 on a Sunday morning. The staff was very efficient and friendly. They completed my smog check in less than 10 minutes. Their website had a coupon for $29.95. the coupon clearly states that the "Star certified" marker is an additional $10 so I went in assuming my total would be $40 plus tax. I have never tried to get a smog check without the star certification. I suppose someone might want that if they are just checking their car for fun and not for the DMV. I think most places keep it as a separate fee. My total with tax came to $48. This is more than reasonable. The young man working there told me that many customers come in seeing the coupon and get upset when they are told about the star certification fee and taxes. I was very happy with my service. Once he found out I have Groupon: First he refused to do the smog check stating that he only accepts Groupons M-F which is not written anywhere after some back and forth he agreed. Second he's like you need the DMV paper to scan which is NOT true - he can enter the info manually, but again he created this barrier and would not proceed with the test. At the end did NOT do the service because he is LAZY and does not want to work. Not sure why even offer Groupon when you don't want to do the work. Bait & Switch ! these guys are not on rthe up and up. Be careful. Do your homework. Smog coupon say that a Smog Check is $34.95. We I added all of the little nickel & diming they do on top of the $34.94 , i.e. STAR add $10, truck add $10 and with the CERT, the total should be $63.20. Went ther Sat, asked for a price and he said my tryuck, regular 1500 pickup, was going to be $78.00. So why the extar $14.80 In his pocket, I'm sure. literally worst smog experience ever, not only was the guy rude but he was also extremely entitled, talked down to me like I was his son or something. He was trying to upcharge me $30 extra on top of the groupon (see 1 star reviews here, similar experience) said my 2009 BMW is a Luxury Vehicle, so he needs to charge extra, and honestly the worst part is the way he was talking to me, made me pull up the groupon page and read it to him, like I was the one doing something wrong. guy needs a serious reality check, smog places are everywhere so I'm not sure why he thinks people need to beg him for a smog test. I went for smog check today. They asked me extra 18.25 for the XUV. I am ok with it. But I don't know what the technician person did in my car during smog check. My Car battery was dead after coming from shop. I did not have a problem before. during his process he did something wrong and my car battery was suddenly dead. I did called the AAA and replaced the new one. I don't think that person even interested to do the job. he is hitting my car here and there. I asked for a quote with the coupon. I have a SUV. He said its 49.75. Would not honor the coupon. It would have been 40.00. I said whatever, I just wanted it done. It didnt pass smog. The website says you have 90 days for a free retest. Tester guy said it would be 20 dollars more to retest and entered it in the notes section of the computer. So It should have been 40 dollars with free retest. And Now Its 49.00 with 20 dollar retest. So I basically am being over charged 30 bucks with a bad attitude. Asian guy has a terrible attitude and is trying to get as much money from you as he can. I asked owner question if there are free re-test after 90 days per website. He keeps deleting my question. If I am charged after retest I will report to BBB. read more

Bought coupons from Groupon twice. The first time I was told that the coupon is for sedan only (which is not stated on the coupon) and that I need to pay $40 more for minivan. The second time my in-law went there with a sedan but still got charged the full price of $60. My in-law doesn't speak English but I'm pretty sure he presented both the coupon and the DMV notice. Came here with a paid star smog check Groupon voucher .. owner then starts to tell me that there's an extra $10 feet for star cert. and an additional $8 service fee. I tried to explain to him I had already bought the star option on Groupon and he said " I don't care , I don't care and wouldn't let me talk at all." So rude! I replied "you know what never mind I'm not doing my smog check here because you're being very rude with your customer service right now" and he just gave me the hand and I left.. wouldn't trust him to do service in my car smh just wanted the money.
