Michelle is like a bot In her reply, does not seem to read an email and responds like a cut and paste. Ebony gives wrong information and then no follow up when emailed or voicemail. I also had to deal with Frontline and I did not catch the women who answered but she was sooo rude! But the actual delivery company is a group of people who have been pleasant and helpful. I agree completely with Joseph Q. review. I regret not reviewing the feedback for this company before booking my shipment, as the experience was entirely unacceptable. I was forced to pay for a shipment that was never sent due to (they say-improper packaging.) Furthermore, I incurred additional fees for a late pickup that had to be coordinated with a different provider. The customer service was equally unprofessional, with representatives being notably rude throughout the process. I strongly advise seeking shipment services elsewhere. read more

I am new to the whole freight shipping process, and this company made it incredibly easy from the start. The website was simple to use for getting a quote, and Ebony was quick to follow up and help answer questions. Communication was excellent the entire time, and Ebony truly cared about making sure everything worked out. At one point, I accidentally shipped my freight to the wrong address. With a very short deadline, I honestly did not know if the situation could be fixed in time. Ebony reassured me that everything was going to be alright and stayed on top of the situation until it was resolved. Long story short, Ebony came through and helped get my freight where it needed to go exactly as promised. Great company with fantastic employees. read more

I would not recommend using FreightCenter. The initial quote I received was significantly different from the final charges after the shipment was processed. Additional fees were added after the fact, which were not clearly disclosed upfront. It's frustrating to budget based on a quoted rate only to have extra charges appear later. Transparency is extremely important in freight shipping, and unexpected fees create trust issues. Ordered a pickup on May 6th - $1400 to ship a sleigh bed from California to N. Carolina. They said approximate delivery date 5/23/25. Finally scheduled pickup on 5/23/25 & didn't;t show up after my SIL stayed home from work for the day. Finally picked up 4 days later & still not delivered - 2 months after my booking. No one can track it "as a 3rd party delivering it," & no one ever calls me back after promising to same day. Absolutely AWFUL SERVICE. read more

I was quoted $400 to ship an engine through FreightCenter using XPO, based on a declared weight of 250 lbs. After the shipment, they claimed it actually weighed 350 lbs and charged me an extra $200. To verify, I called XPO directly--they told me their charge for a weight correction in cases like this is $45. FreightCenter added over $150 more than XPO would have charged, with no clear breakdown or documentation. Completely unreasonable and dishonest. I won't be using them again read more

I find it perplexing to comprehend how anyone would think it acceptable to open and remove boxes from a securely arranged pallet. And yet, that's exactly what they did! I paid for non-stackable delivery with a liftgate, and obviously, I paid with reference to the space my pallet occupied. Despite this, they OPENED MY PALLET and delivered loose boxes to my customer. MASSIVE MARKUP without taking any RESPONSIBILITY 1. I was quoted $8,750 for a 3,100 mile cross country shipment for a truck with lift gate. I was told to do a wire transfer in advance plus 3% wire fee as a new customer. I did. I was clear with the company that I had to ensure everything aligned with movers. They said no problem. The truck never showed. I was literally standing outside of the storage unit with my movers as we had staged half of what was to go into the truck. I had to pay the movers (minimum 3 hours) to take everything back in after we had it all staged. 2. A week later, I was told to pay an additional $2,000+ via credit card to get a different truck that would leave the trailer there for three days for loading. I was told I was getting a discount due to the initial problem. The day before the arrival, I was told that instead, a different truck without a lift gate would arrive but only be available for part of the day. I suddenly had to find and rent a fork-lift as well as a team to load everything in as quickly as possible - by 'tomorrow'. 3. The next day, a truck was there at the storage unit when I arrived with a forklift at 7am. 4. After talking to the driver, I found that the actual bid FreightCenter was around $5,300 and and they just milked me for everything they could without taking responsibility for the truck not showing, the last minute change, or anything. 5. FreightCenter.com states that it is a veteran owned company and is committed to serving those who have served. As a veteran (USMC) it is even more disheartening to experience something like this. If this is how a veteran owned company treats other veterans...I just don't know what to say. 6. At delivery the driver showed me that I was going to be charged $150 for the extra time needed to load - this would be reasonable. But here is the thing - despite multiple requests to FreightCenter, I've as of yet not received any finalized costs. This feels like a complete rip off! The trucking company got $5,300 while FreightCenter, Inc. keeps the rest. To be clear, I was shown the app with the bids on it which even had a similar job for $5,100. Zero value with an 60-80% markup? I did want to validate things and did some research. According to getscalefunding's current freight rate trends (Sept 27th) the average price per mile is $2.05 which would be $6,300. So while the $5,300 is low (a great price), what I was charged was exorbitant. My recommendation is to deal directly with a trucking company! Nice Guys Trucking, Schneider, or one of the others. The value you get from FreightCenter Inc. is minimal for the exorbitant market up. read more

Do NOT Trust Freight Center! I was quoted and charged for a rate of $602.00 to ship one pallet they were given all the information needed for the rate, pallet size, what was being shipped, full weight and address of other business, with forklift/dock for unloading. paid for the shipment and it was picked up a few days later. it took about 6 days from day of pickup to be delivered. the day after delivery they then charged me for another fee of $136.83 for being a rural area. Luckly it was declined on the card. but the kicker is then come back 9 months later to charge the card again and this time it went through. I dispute this extra charge with Freight center and they will not refund my card. When you make a mistake on giving someone a rate, when you were given all information and after it was picked up and delivered and say we didn't give you the right rate for this and own up to it, that's on your company to eat that charge. find a different freight company to do business with. dishonest people there! read more

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. We requested an online quote to move an 80 pound, oversized box from a residence in Orange County NY to a business in Denver. We received a quote of $328. After accepting the quote, we received a confirmation call informing us of additional charges for lift gate and a gated business delivery and the charge would be $548 which we paid with credit card. After the delivery an additional $237.50 was charged to our credit card for "Accessorials". We ended up paying $785 to ship 80 pounds! They explained it was because of the gate at the delivery. This gate is always open during business hours and was open for this delivery. It did not cause the delivery driver a problem. We can see from reviews that this is the way this company operates. They feel they have a license to add any charges they want. We regret using this service and they should be investigated for their business practices. read more
