This was our first time in Breckenridge and at Gravity Haus. 1- don't expect any greeting or direction upon arrival. We parked at valet stand and no one was there, walked in checked in and they gave key cards and said they would text me for valet. No welcome, no directions to our room, literally nothing else. 2 - we are in room 320 Trailblazer, upon walking in there were three flys buzzing around and room was hot. 3 - we are traveling with a baby and specifically booked this room as it had two rooms with doors inside. - after getting baby asleep after travel day we come to find out the right side door doesn't even shut, latch is broken, SUPER ANNOYING. Had to wake baby up and switch rooms. 4 - left door with working latch happens to be the squeakiest door in Colorado. Fix the dang doors guys! 5 - both side tooma have a tiny maybe 10 inch fan circulating air so in essence these tiny rooms become extremely hot and stuffy. Horrible option for a sleeping baby!! Door becomes useless, choose noise level over temperature. 6 - speaking of noise, freaking barking dogs in the hallway with owners who have zero respect or courtesy. Also, as I'm laying here fighting this review about every 8 minutes some door shuts on the floor and slams shut. Slamming doors all night is all I see in my future! 7 - a primary reason we booked this hotel was for the reviews for the restaurant and the food options available. Come to find out it was closed for a private event......cool, so glad we planned for a nice dinner at the hotel. So long story short, would I stay here for free......No Would I pay the exorbitant amount for the room and parking for below sub par service and quality.......hell no.......never again.

I love anyone who's going to have enough of a sense of humor right there. The couple that runs the place instantly brings you in like you're family. I do not recommend this place for those who don't want a 'home' to stay in. You're going to be offered a hug, you're going to be asked questions, and expected to be somewhat integrated into the large breakfast in the morning. But, it goes easy. They're a second family, with just enough concern, advice, and stories to keep everyone entertained. During my stay here, we met quite a few interesting people (including a couple from Austin, strangely enough). And that's just the people. Across the small two lane road that is almost swallowed in the foreground by the gigantic scene of the twin lakes with what I believe to be Quail Mountain and Mount Hope providing the background to amazing sunsets. And the nearby scenic roads are immensely humbling and amazing. Driving through this valley between Mount Massive, Bald Eagle Mountain and Black Mountain, not to mention the countless other summits, you really get a feel for the mountains. And, at night, the place was so quiet you could hear the leaves knocking into each other in the breeze. And the chipmunks were .. plentiful. I have no hesitations about recommending this place to anyone. I mean, as long as you're looking for a great place to stay with a wonderful atmosphere, great food, and a warm welcome.

I was referred to Topper's Catering through Christopher Hall (another personal chef in Aspen area). Tracey Mishel was great to work with to plan out the dinner: very communicative, had good suggestions, etc. Also, the "standard" menu had a lot of options for our group. We decided to include 3 different hors d'oeuvres, a soup course, 3 family style entrees and 2 desserts. Our group included several vegetarians and the menu easily accommodated those restrictions. Overall, the food quality was exceptional and I can confidently say it was the best meal we had in Snowmass/Aspen! Highlights included: fried risotto, white bean soup, beef tenderloin, spaghetti squash and the pistachio tartufo. Greg Topper explained each course, including how it was made. Greg is very humble for such a good chef. In addition, Tracey was very attentive in serving/clearing for our group. Finally, I was amazed how quiet they were in our kitchen - which shows their professionalism. I strongly encourage you to call Toppers Catering for your next event!
