Let me start by saying that I typically do ALL auto repairs myself, because I learned the hard way…read moreearly on that is difficult to truly trust mechanic shops, unnecessary repairs and upselling. I have been traveling a LOT for work recently, so I had nowhere enough time to do this particular repair myself, so I needed to find a good mechanic to get this done while I was away. Now, I already knew exactly what the problem was (bad alternator in my Highlander), I knew exactly how long it would take to remove the old one, install the new one and reassemble the radiator hose. I also knew ~about what the hourly labor rate 'should' be, so I was already preparing for pushback from any new mechanic I was going to deal with. Well, with a few bids, I heard back from Abril (owner of Timing Auto Repair) almost IMMEDIATELY. I told him what the "symptoms" were, but not much else. He was MORE than accommodating with my quick timeframe for turnaround time and also let me drop the car off the night before my trip. He had the Manager of the shop (Anthony) reach out to me right away to discuss. Well unbelievably enough, they reached out to me and identified the problem... which was EXACTLY what I thought it was and also quoted the EXACT amount of time for labor that I had planned on, as well as the most fair hourly rate amongst all the other bids from competing garages. Their communication was absolutely impeccable and frequent! They even followed up a few days after just to see how everything was running and check to ensure I was satisfied with their work. Let me tell you... NOWHERE in Salt Lake City will you find: 1. A more honest group of mechanics 2. Anyone that provides the level of communication 3. ANYBODY more accommodating 4. A Mechanic that you REALLY want to go back to NOWHERE. PERIOD. Honest work is what you can expect from this shop, nothing less (but a whole lot more!). After getting my oil changed and alignment at another competing shop, I was told my cabin air filter, right CV axle, and battery, with 76% CCA remaining, needed to be replaced. I called four shops to get quotes for replacing the right CV axle. All of them came in within about 10-20% of each other, except Immaculate. I spoke with Bill at Immaculate, and he quickly provided an exact quote for the right CV axle, which came in at 60% lower than the quoted price from the other shops. He also advised me not to replace the battery, but to get it checked closer to winter. After shopping around, I called Bill back to get a quote using OEM parts, and he happily provided it. This all occurred on Friday, July 3rd, between 2:30 and 4:00 p.m. He also told me he could get my car scheduled for Tuesday. I thought it over the weekend and called Bill on Monday to schedule it for Wednesday. When I brought the car in, I asked them to check and quote several other items in addition to replacing the right CV axle, including two windshield wipers, two tires with mounting, balancing, and rotation, the engine air filter, cabin air filter, and a transmission drain and fill. I made several calls to Bill regarding different tire brands, tire warranties, and other options, and he happily helped every time. He always provided accurate quotes, and if he didn't have an answer, he would find out and call me back. Everything was completed the same day, and Bill brought the total price down to less than the cost of just replacing the CV axle at three other shops. I also had the chance to interact with KC, who happily answered my calls and questions when Bill wasn't available and even performed the tire rotation himself. As someone who grew up in the car business, I've never had a better experience with a service center than this. The combination of honesty, communication, service, pricing, and workmanship is outstanding. I would recommend Immaculate to anybody, including friends and family, without hesitation. I'm also posting this review six weeks later to say that not a single thing has been wrong with my vehicle. It drives like a dream. I took my truck in to have them diagnose three issues as well as fix or recharge my AC. They…read morequickly told me it needed a new motor mount and that's what was causing the three mechanical issues. They then told me the AC was contaminated because the wrong refrigerant was put in. My truck has never once had a recharge of the AC. They said the full system needed to be flushed out to decontaminate and they would not be able to do that because of the liability of damaging other components. They recommended I take it to discount tire...not sure how a tire shop would be a better option than a full service shop. The motor mount was replaced and they called me for pickup stating it was done. I quickly went to pick it up to then be told they cracked a spark plug and it would just be a few minutes longer. 2 hours later, I drove off with my truck. None of the three mechanical issues were fixed or improved with the motor mount whatsoever. I took my truck to another mechanic for the AC to be told the condenser was cracked and needed to be replaced. Specially asked if they tested to see if it was contaminated. They did and said there was no contamination in the system. This was my first time trying AAMCO. Will never use them again. At this point I'm not convinced the motor mount needed replacement.
