The location was okay and convenient for shopping needs and the movie theater. I don't even know what businesses are left at the shopping mall. Then there is no telling when I will catch a train from downtown Oakland to Bay Fair.

Hayward BART Station was better than the Oakland Coliseum BART Station, IMHO. It's cleaner and…read moreeasier to access from the parking garage. However, the ticket kiosk needed a little TLC. It's not tourist friendly. It took me awhile to figure out how to use it. So did the gentleman before me. After inserting the credit card, the dispenser won't spit out the boarding card. It required other buttons pressed first. Getting here was a challenge because Google map doesn't have clear descriptions. It kept pointing me to the handicapped lot. I thought I had to park outside of this station, I almost parked at the city garage and feared it would close at certain time. The website to catch the train is essential. I went to https://www.bart.gov/schedules/eta/HAYW to get precise details about the boarding times. Me and my friend took BART to Embarcadero to see the ships at the piers. Being a frugal traveler, using public transportation is a must. So glad that BART can help me to achieve my goals.

Bart is cheap and fairly reliable - I use it now and then - depending on where you are going and if parking is difficult or expensive it can be a bad idea. I don't like the hours. That's lousy. Right as people get out of bars it shuts down. What a racket. All the 5 and 6 foot tall weeds are hard to believe. Its in a median between hayward city hall and the bus stop. Hmmm...

We have our shiny new entry/exit gates that reduce the risk of fare evasion! They even fixed a gap between the gate access entry and the new gates which I saw someone jump on day one. Now, you gotta really want it to get in and out for free, and frankly, I don't think the fare evasion community has what it takes with these new gates. We are back in the 5 star Yelp game people!

There is zero security in the parking lot. Now, I catch the bus or Uber here, depending on if I'm in a hurry. I do like the Clipper Card only, which has been in effect for a while. They also upgraded the Bart fare gates, so the fare jumpers can't just jump over like they used too. The prices are still reasonable, way better, and quicker, than driving!!

I've been a fan of Uber since this service first started. Back in the day, you would call and…read morereserve a taxi. They'd not show up. You'd try to get a taxi in a crowded place like Las Vegas or Milan and wait in line for hours. Some taxi services had the worst cars ever, with no AC and pretty crazy aggressive drivers. We needed something better. Then... Uber came along! The drivers are unique individuals making their way through life. Their stories, if they care to share them, can be epic, shocking and/or inspiring! It's not a panacea but it certainly changed the transportation industry and helped many people with cars, get some income flowing on their own schedule. I could tell you some crazy and/or fun uber stories but I will leave that for another day! Life is good with Uber.

This allows them to avoid all the rules, regulations, and taxes that real transportation companies have to pay. Real taxi drivers must show proficiency in English, have a clean driving record and have no felonies. With no checks and balances you have no idea what you are getting. Your Uber driver may have been in jail that morning. He may have a lousy driving record or be a convicted stalker. You just don't know. Saving a couple of dollars is not worth risking your life. Go with a pro instead.

The pricing was close to two other companies, but the service and the clean luxurious car with a great human touch service could not be matched by any other company. On the day of my event, the guests got to my venue on time and Edgar was there waiting to pick us up at the end of the event. We probably could have helped by providing him with the most efficient routes. All in all, I would use them again.
