The station has a large parking lot, and like other BART stations, parking is free on weekends. Some of the spots are shaded by the BART tracks, which is a nice bonus. There are escalators going both up and down, making it easy to navigate. They also have restrooms, which is not always common at BART stations. The waiting area has benches, but since it's outdoors, it can get pretty cold at times. It's also a bit noisy because of the nearby highway, but it's not a major issue. Overall, a solid and convenient station for those commuting or traveling in the area.

Got dropped off right at the door we needed, which matters when you're pulling bags out at a busy terminal. The part I appreciated most was the billing. They invoiced me after the trip, so there was no scrambling for a card or working out a tip with the driver in the moment. Zero hassle on departure day, which was the whole point. Before the event, they suggested that the Jet might be better for our social outing and we switched to it for no charge. Driver Sodo arrived on site 30 minutes early (no charge) to ensure we would leave in time. He helped me set up and briefed me on the features. The AppleTV and Internet access were fun, as we streamed YourTube the whole trip and shared photos from our iPhone. TVs on both ends of the van so you could see not matter which way you faced. We arrived on time to the event and had a great ride. We had some problems with the technology, including loss of audio and stuttering on the way back, but rather than stop to get it fixed we decided to talk instead. The tech works well but can have issues. If the tech matters, have a plan for support if it fails. I'm sure we could have had if fixed if we asked but we didn't bother.

One of my favorite experiences as a new East Bay resident has been Casual Carpool. How amazing is…read moreit that supply and demand meet organically at designated spots like this one every morning? It's a much more civilized way to get across the Bay than BART and it's free. I offered $1 at first but drivers seemed surprised and I haven't seen any of my co-riders from this location ever offer. What's really cool about this location is that the Transbay E Bus is located directly across the street. What I usually do is try to get there just before a scheduled bus departure so I can evaluate which option to go with based on the Casual Carpool line. I'm still a UC Berkeley student and AC Transit is currently complimentary so this bus/Casual Carpool system works for me. Once I no longer get free bus rides, I'll probably wait it out at Casual Carpool no matter what. The longest I've had to wait is 15 minutes and as lines get longer, riders and drivers usually allow 3 people to get in the car in order to speed up the line.
