Bought an American Whirlpool hottub from this company at their Lakeland location two years ago…read more Went with a local company, knowing we would pay more, because support was important to us. They did tell me that they were going to be discontinuing that brand but that they would still provide service. Now the hottub can't get hot (I keep it set at 104 degrees and it is stuck at 99) so I called them to see about getting it serviced. Now they no longer service these hottubs and that I need to call the company to see who can service it. They couldn't/wouldn't help me find someone to service it! Guess now that they have my money, I'm on my own. Would never go back there again. UPDATE: Closest certified American Whirlpool service center wants to charge me $471 for travel expense. I have messaged this company to ask for help since they assured me they would still service the hot tub we bought and I never heard back from them (that was over a week ago. I also called the Brandon location to see if I could get some help and all I got was "I'm sorry!". No offer to help in any way. I hope others will see this before deciding to do business with these people.

Larsen's Pool and Spa did a WONDERFUL job with building our backyard pool & spa! From the very…read morebeginning they were very professional and thorough. Our sales person (Dan Meyer) took the time to thoroughly explain every detail to us so we knew exactly what to expect. My husband and I are finance professionals and really take our time evaluating all options before making a decision. Dan was extremely patient with us through the process. We appreciated that the company provided an itemized breakdown of the costs for us so we knew exactly where every dollar spent was going towards. Dan also did a wonderful job creating a unique design for our pool/spa combo. Every other company that came out to give us quotes just drew a basic rectangle shaped pool, but Dan really put time and thought into his design and it showed! We also appreciated that Larsen's provided an all-in quote and would return funds if things weren't needed (like well points), compared to other companies that provided us lower quotes to "win the business", but then said there could be additional expenses. As finance professionals, we like to know exactly how much the project could cost and really appreciated this approach. Once construction began we worked with Jason and things moved quickly! We did have some weather delays, but that was to be expected. My husband is a bit of a perfectionist, so he was constantly checking on the detail of work being completed. If he wanted something changed or corrected, we just let Jason know and a crew was out to make it perfect for us, no questions asked. The level of customer service and communication throughout the entire project was very much appreciated and allows us to enjoy our beautifully finished pool and spa even more. We are SO HAPPY with the final product and the experience we had leading up to it. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Larsen's Pool & Spa to any of our friends and family!

A less-expensive estimate cited only acid and pressing washing as preparation, which would have been a disaster in the future if a new finish were to be applied over the old finish. It's clear Larsen knows how to do things right the first time. Cheaper doesn't mean better when it comes to an investment in your home. Highly recommend.

He was friendly and knowledgeable explaining all the new functions compared to the older pump that was replaced. Up to this point my experience was 5 stars. as a result of this tablet not working I told him I would go into the store and pay the $99 installation charge. Upon arrival I provide my name and phone number to the General Manager, who quickly brings up my bill. This is when the 5 stars dropped to 2 because he wanted to charge $222.00! He told me the $99 dollar special did not include the $78 parts (2 1.5 90 degree elbows and maybe 2 foot of PVC, I provided the two elbows to save him a trip) and a $45 trip charge. After this it got heated, I explained to him that everyone from the associate who sold me the pump, the scheduling agent, and even the installation guy, $99. The general manager listened to my frustration and then honored what I was told. The take away message, confirm and print out everything before you finish the transaction. In closing, I used them 8 years ago and had a wonderful experience. This current issue has tarnished my opinion and will avoid using them in the future.- Jason

Cara the owner, was very gracious and advised she would have Ben, her husband, come out and look at the spa pump. Ben came and looked at the pump and felt confident it could be repaired. He ordered the necessary parts and indicated he would let us know when it came in. In the meantime, we mentioned to the pool builder doing the resurfacing that we had contacted Dutchcraft Services to repair the pump. Marty, from US Pools without us asking, stated that Ben does great work and he also recommended them. How cool was that? Ben completed the work. we had a hiccup, not because of anything Ben had done wrong, but the company putting the pebble sheen had plugged the spa to avoid material going into the pipe. They unplugged it and the spa pump works like a charm!! The best part, Ben's price was very reasonable! We are sooo happy with it and we are using the spa more than we ever have! I love this family owned business, they care and are meticulous with their work. It would have been $5k or more, we were ok with that. Sales guy kept trying to steer us towards a more expensive, bigger spa that wouldn't have fit in our space. He gave us a pat answer on financing (9.9%) without even looking into our credit, which is highest level. Usually those things vary by credit score. He gave us a generic answer on cost to clean the spa (pennies) then told us we could buy the chemicals there when I asked about buying from a pool place.
