There were two very good things about Woodiwiss and one thing I wasn't happy with. They quoted a great price (thousands less than the others) and they did good work. Those are the two most important things,. But I felt misled and strung along on the scheduling. The sales person said they were two weeks out. The work didn't actually get done for 2 months. And it was rescheduled multiple times last minute, causing issues with our solar installers and tenants (who had to reschedule their work from home). I think with better communication on scheduling this would be a 5 star review. read more

Phone staff was great. Scheduled 1:30p for a estimate as we had leak in bedroom. I specifically asked if it would be confirmed as I had to cancel my clients to make it down to my house to let him in. He wasn't there. Told me he'd come back, I told him my wife would wait there for him so we could get this figured out. Wife waited there to let him in, he never showed up. Sent him photos of our leak, he never responded. We are middle class working people, wife's a teacher who left our child at day care a little longer so that we could get this resolved. My husband called Woodiwiss to get a quote for repairing our roof and the guy agreed to come out and give us a quote. My husband couldn't be there since he was working so I was to take care of it. The guy showed up over an hour early and I answered the door in my robe, told him where the roof needed repairing so he could go check it out and that I would be out there in a minute after I got dressed since I wasn't expecting him for another hour. When I went out there a few minutes later to meet him and discuss our roof problem he was gone. He was nowhere to be found on my property and did not leave any quote. My husband tried calling, texting and emailing him and never got any response or any quote over the next month. When my husband called the office again he was told that the guy would get back to him by the next day. We heard nothing. We were completely ghosted and never received a quote. The situation is baffling to us and all we could think of is that the guy looked at our roof and maybe decided that the project wasn't worth his time? Even so, if that were the case, at least have the decency to let us know instead of just ghosting us. This is the most unprofessional company with terrible customer service that I have ever experienced in regards to repairs on our house. My experience with Freeman Roofing was very bad. I contacted them in January 2023 about roof leak repairs. Joe came out and took photos and provided an estimate so I thought everything would be great. We gave the go ahead for the work. After that, nothing happened. I called to ask followup questions and schedule the work repeatedly and was always told "Joe will call you back". He never did. I sent many emails that went un-answered. Finally, in March when I was just about to give up I called again and was told that my work was scheduled for April 10th which was a surprise. I was told our work was "squeezed in" between bigger jobs. Then I received an email from Joe confirming the start date (weather permitting). So, on the morning of April 10th I called Freeman Roofing to find out what time the work would start. I was told that I had cancelled the work and said I had other roofers. Absolutely un-true!!!!! When I complained about it they said maybe they could do my repairs in May. Or maybe in the next few weeks if one of their bigger jobs finished. We could never get any kind of commitment for getting the work done. They clearly are unable to conduct business in a professional manner and cannot be recommended. read more

As a Certanteed master roofer, he and his team are certified to deliver unto a 50 year warranty (of course read any fine print). His team showed up to tear off the roof on Thursday. On Friday the team continued to repair any damage from the prior installation. He did find that the prior roof on a portion of the hose was laid on top of another set of wood shingles. He charged us a flat hourly rate to repair plus material cost to fix. By Tuesday the new gutters were installed and everything looks wonderful. I can see why his references gave him rave reviews. I am doing the same. He and his team are prompt, clean up after themselves and frankly were helpful when I asked questions. read more

His team came out and did quick work of the tear down and replaced a number of sections of the roof with dry rot. The new roof went up quickly and passed inspection without any issues. I selected Freeman roofing to reroof our home in preparation for a solar installation. Of the bids I received (all from top Yelp-rated companies) Freeman was in the middle. I selected them because I was impressed with the proposal provided by Joe, the owner, which included annotated photos of his roof inspection. In addition, if you are installing a Certainteed roof, he is a credentialed installer, which gets you a better warranty. Our roof is on the large side, so it took about 7 days to strip, prep, and roof. Each day workers arrived on time and thoroughly cleaned up the premises before leaving in the evening. No issues whatsoever. I was impressed that Joe insisted I call him, after the solar is done, to inspect the new roof penetrations. I spoke with Joe on a few occasions before, during, and after our project. I found him to be reasonable and easy to work with. We picked Joe and his team based on the recommendation of a previous customer. We are really careful & picky folks, and we are very happy with our choice. We were expecting to wait about 4-6 weeks after signing our contract to begin work until we received a call or text from Joe that he had an opening that on Friday. Unable to contact with repeated call for inquiries for estimates on roofing no call back not how you run a business

I took about 4 weeks to go through a thorough competitive bidding process for a new roof on my home. Out of 4 bidding companies, Freeman was the least competitive in pricing and offered the shortest warranty as well. The bid was done from Google Earth (or some other software program) and not with accurate measuring, say, from someone coming out to my home with a ladder and tape measure. But let me get to the point that mattered the most...their lack of customer service. Their administrative assistant scheduled, cancelled, rescheduled...and then cancelled on me again 30 minutes before our final appointment was scheduled. They simply blew me off with a short and stale e-mail that told me to call with any questions. That's what our appointment was supposed to be for. Not only did I find it rude, but unprofessional as well. I had to adjust my schedule and move several meetings around to accommodate all the scheduling changes Freeman needed to make. My time is just as valuable as anyone else's. It's disappointing that they couldn't even take 30 minutes out of their day to meet and go over an estimate with a potential new client​. As a small business owner Joe should understand that customer experience has a huge impact on his business. It could lead to referrals and positive word-of-mouth advertising. Well, not only will I not be using Freeman for any current or future roofing needs, but I'll make sure everyone I come into to contact with who asks for any roofing contractor recommendations will hear about how unprofessionally I was treated by Freeman.
