Beautiful space with beautiful views. I'm pretty particular about my wine, so if I leave a vineyard with a bottle, that is usually a good sign. I travel with a wine case that only holds 12 bottles so I have to be very selective. I left here with a bottle of their Cabernet Sauvignon. Unlike a lot of vineyards in the region, this one offers a pretty comprehensive food menu beyond your typical charcuterie. The prices of both their tasting fees and wines are very reasonable. Their most expensive bottle appears to run in the high $30s. The staff here is very friendly and offered recommendations for other local vineyards. Dogs are welcome.

We came here after going to another winery. We wanted to try one more place before everything closed (wineries close around 5pm around here). Very beuatiful location with a good view. Staff was very friendly and helped us pick out a good drink. One of us had rose and then other got their summer sangria, both of which were good. We got a cheese plater, which was a little small. Next time I would probably get something else more worth the money. Nice outdoor covered patio. They were getting ready for a private event when we were there, so some areas were off limits. Great for large groups and good indoor and outdoor seating.

Superb location and beautiful wines! Gorgeous and exceptional. Everything from their perch overlooking the valley to their bold wines that are yummy right now. Highly recommend a visit!

This is one of my favorite wineries in the area! Amazing wine, great food options, and (likely) the best views in the Yakima valley.

What a wonderful winery in the Yakima Valley. Freehand Cellars is one you won't want to miss in the area, as they offer solid red wines in a beautiful, mid-century modern setting with a ton of space. Before we visited, we contacted Freehand Cellars to see if they needed reservations, which they do not require, compared to other wineries in the area. It made visiting this winery all the easier since we could show up whenever was most convenient for us. We even visited on a Saturday where a wedding took place, and they still allowed guests to visit the winery. My friends and I each did a flight, which included five one-ounce samples, two whites and three reds. I liked that they poured all of the wines in the beginning, so that we could pour the rest ourselves, which allowed us to take our time with the tasting versus feeling rushed to have to finish in order to try the next sample. We also all shared a charcuterie plate, which was a great snack. I liked all of the red wines, but would say the cab sauv was my favorite. For anyone who likes cab sauvs, this is definitely a solid one. You must buy two bottles to waive the tasting fee, which was no problem for us. However, two of my friends and I bought the cab sauv and until we got back to Bellevue did we realize that they gave us a cab franc instead. DOH! That was a bummer, but at least all the red wines are good here.

We've known about this spot since it opened, but never seemed to have time to check it out. We finally made it out on a cold/sunny day in early January and it quickly ranked as one of our favorite winery trips! The physical building is beautiful inside and out - it's architecturally pretty stunning with a very warm inside with great seating areas, a fire and lot of windows overlooking the area. Outside, they have a large patio that gazes upon Mount Adams as well as lot of picnic tables in the surrounding orchards and vineyards. There are great options no matter who's in your party! The food here was creative and very good. It's a little pricey, but these days being able to go hang out is totally worth it! The s'mores wear a particularly fun dessert as it comes with a small ceramic bowl of lighter fluid over which you can cook the s'mores. It was an activity for the kids and it made it more interactive for us. The charcuterie board was very nice and the warm goat cheese with honey was particularly good. The pizzas were artisan looking, and definitely personal sized à la old-school Pizza Hut for book it...Yeah, you remember that personal pan pizza as the reason why you would read through 30 bucks or whatever it was that you needed to do to obtain that glory. This is like a fancy version of that, and you don't get it for free because you read some books. Adulting can be hard! We have not sampled a lot of the wines here, but what we've had has been good. The Cabernet Sauvignon was nice, and we've had a couple of their lighter ones in the past and enjoyed all of them. All in all, a great spot to check out any day!

This is a gorgeous winery, and for me, they check off all of the important boxes. The wines are very good from white to red. They have tastings and waive the cost with purchase of two bottles. Please note it's very easy to sit and drink two bottles with friends on the beautiful lawn or patio with breathtaking views. The buildings itself is a very modern and sleek space. They have a menu with a nice list of nosh that compliments the wine such as charcuterie and flatbread. They sell some of their products inside such as the hot honey and spicy apricot preserves. They also have beer and hard cider for non wine drinkers which is nice for a mixed crowd. They had live music when we were there. They have rooms and hot tubs on air bnb. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Absolutely love this winery!

Wow. This place was awesome. The ambience, the views, the wine, everything is top notch. Icing on the cake was they were serving perfectly spiced, hot mulled wine this month. And the cherry on that cake, they had a "cookie competition" going on the day we went. So we got to eat a bunch of delicious cookies and vote for the best one. Now that's what I call festive spirit. Absolutely loved this place and will return soon.

Our server was as fantastic as the views of the valley! The wines were a nice mix of flavors. It's a bit pricey but it is worth the experience!

My favorite place in Yakima! Perfect with kids. Good amount of food and good wines and drinks. Awesome sitting place - inside and out regardless of weather! The food was surprisingly good. The chicken skewers were supple and delicious.

Beautiful views of the valley while trying their wine and food offerings. We had the wine flight, charcuterie plate and the trio of mini Margherita pizzas. Great afternoon in the sunshine at their outdoor tables on the lawn.

I especially loved the outdoor area with the view of Mt Adams while I sipped on my Pinot Gris.

Nice patio and shrubs out in front. Decent sized and classy tasting room inside. Located on a hill and can see the top of Mount Adams to the south, although you see the freeway as well. Need to go inside to check in at the register. Sat outside because weather was decent., and they will take your order and bring your food and drinks outside. Menu not that big but have some choices in terms of shareables and main food items. Got a tasting flight for $20, and the bratwurst for $16. Treveri is all sparkling wines, and the flight consists of four varieties. Sparkling is lighter, more crisp than regular, and the ones I tried were decent. As for the bratwurst, my favorite part of the plate was the sweet mustard. Comes with the mustard and a ketchup with seasonings. The brat was okay, and portion is not that big. Have to pay at the register inside. Overall was a decent winery experience.

When I booked reservation I was also told I would be sent confirmation information which they had and I did not get it. So when it was the day of we arrived ready for a nice time and when we arrived the gates were closed and locked. This was quite the disappointing experience and unfortunately since we were celebrating and looking forward to this. Coming in from out of town this was disappointing since I heard good things.

Nice place and really good wine produced here and being for California that says a lot about this…read moreplace. Staff was great and the place was very enjoyable. If you are in the area stop by and give it a try.

We specifically picked Owen Roe to visit while in Yakama, given we enjoyed the Newburg, OR tasting…read moreroom (which I think is closed now). We sat outside, under a tree, with our pups. They bring the wine pre-poured in mini-carafe's (I'm sure there's a proper name for them), and include a "blind" pour that if you guess correctly, you win a prize (which I did not.) The outside area is spectacular, with trees for shade, the views for miles, and the feel of being somewhere special. Service was OK, they bring you pre-poured if you sit outside, and they may check back in on you if they aren't too busy. It seemed our server was on the new side, and she told us 4 times she had only been there a few days. Inside, I think it might be a more traditional experience, but can't confirm. There is also a good-sized seating area inside - and you're able to see the other vintage/varietals available for purchase. Wines by the glass are available, but not for everything, and only for bottles they have already opened. I wanted to try their Sangiovese, but they weren't pouring it, and bummer they didn't have one open to taste - I would have loved to try it. I recommend (based upon my palate) the Abbot's Table and the Sinister Hand (fun background story as well). I didn't care for the rose - it was sweeter than I prefer. Regardless, come visit and you're bound to find something to suit your taste. So why 4-stars? I just have high expectations of servers when I'm tasting wine, and I didn't get the feeling that ours knew the product well, so I didn't feel like I would get much education (which is part of why I, myself, enjoy wine tasting - to learn something new).
