Jr. instructor has only 350 hours, and will not sign you off to solo unless you are absolutely perfect in every aspect of operating the helicopter. If my fixed wing instructor had been so strict, I would never have soloed. I spent $17K (34 hours), and she would not sign me off, so I gave up. I am a fixed wing pilot with 750 safe hours.

When I was shopping for private pilot training, the first thing I looked for is the safety record of the aircraft. Enstroms check the boxes. No crazy safety Endorsement required like when flying mast-bumping Robinsons. The second thing I looked for was accessibility to service. Check. Warren Co airport is intimately associated with Enstrom Helicopter Corp and is a service center. Finally, I interviewed the instructor pilots. TJ and Matt are friendly gents with thousands of hours of experience. They have a firm dedication to safety and a dedication to seeing you become proficient in whatever you want to do. They are straight-shooters and lend sound advice on everything Helicopter. Their schedules are flexible and they really go out of their way to help. There is no one else you want in the right seat other than good pilots with good teaching skills. Don't expect a bunch of hand-holding on the ground knowledge, though. Their pragmatic approach has students using inexpensive on-line programs for that. I just received my private helo rating, and I'm living proof that vaheli performs a service as advertised! When he reported this to the front desk at the same time and the desk person seemed to know who was at fault. They were nice enough to move us and I thought ok I will give them a chance even though if I had the choice at the time I wanted to pack up and leave due to I was disgusted over this. We had to pack up and after my husband checked the room and the hot water worked we thought great. Then the heater shortly after we moved started making a horrible noise every time it kicked in and my husband called again thinking oh it's simple let the maintenance guy come check. He was on vacation. So they offered to move us again. Now I had just packed back up one time and I would have had to do that again and my husband said if we pack again we are leaving. So we listened to it Wednesday night and again Thursday night because we had to stay the second night because of a medical doctor appointment. We told them we were checking out early on Friday due to the issues. They were friendly and apologized for the issues but it would still never get me to stay again. It appeared like all they had done was paint over all issues and made it look good for a remodel but it was just cover up. We accidentally pushed the button on the "tiny" elevator for the basement and first noted when door opened that there was either a wire or pipe just cut off. The sidewalks were not properly shoveled after a snow storm that happened a week prior. There were people roaming around in the parking lot from time to time when we would go outside that didn't seem to be staying at the hotel. The hotel luckily was not so creed that we couldn't park in the immediate hotel parking but if we couldn't have fit we would have to park down the block and walk and the hotel property didn't clean sidewalk. The additional parking was public parking which was clean to hotel property. The entrance and exit to the hotel property were not cleaned to include the curve of the curb make turning in and out harder in a very busy street. I have pictures of the snow issues and actually recorded the horrible noise. I am giving this zero stars if it will allow me to. This is the second hotel that I have stayed in that Wyndham has taken over from another hotel and I will not be staying at another Wyndham property again. I did not rate or complain about the last one because I understood it was a recent take over and they are trying on an old building and they had a good maintenance person. We stayed there during Christmas time and had snow and ice that were properly cleared at that property.
