Freedom Fence recently completed a project at my home and I am extremely satisfied with the outcome. We had existing aluminum fencing around our pool that we wanted to bump out to the entire backyard properly line. So moving existing fence and gates, plus installing new fence (because overall perimeter expanded). Needed a lot of new posts installed and had to navigate around a lot of trees. They were able to match the fence easily, then upon delivery of materials complete the job in one day. Even on a 100 degree day they got the job done and didn't cut corners. Paid in full for gates and fence $20,000 in 2022 and still the gate opener has not been installed. Been trying for 4 years to get them to complete the job we paid for. No show no calls unless I go in person. Very poor customer service. "Mother Nature" (rain for even 30 minutes in one day) causes them to cancel and not show for many months at a time. If they would at least call and let people know that's the first thing but's that's never happened once after they scheduled and never showed. All they have continually done that past 3 years is excuses when you go in about how someone is sick, or it rained, and they rarely return calls. Sad because I'm an entrepreneur and support local businesses, but these folks really don't know customer service and don't follow through and get things done. read more

They put up a fence around our pool. But within a few years when the fence's post started to lean we called them back to reassess. They came to the house, agreed that the quality of work was unacceptable, and agreed that they will redo it. We were even willing to pay more money for the repairs, to assure the posts will be dug down deeper, etc.... Done right like it should have been done in the first place. After many phone calls back-and-forth, they eventually asked us to be patient, because they might not get to us for a few months, but they will do the job. Our calling and leaving messages went on through a couple seasons, and now it's years later, they never returned my many calls and messages and they never returned to repair the unacceptable job they did in the first place. I called on June 3rd and they couldn't get anyone out to do a simple Estimate for 20 days. They also basked for other estimates as they consider me really far. even thought there advertising states Morris County. Had another company out a day after calling them and the estimate took 15 minutes and had the numbers the same day. Definitely not a customer first attitude here. I was also never offered a virtual estimate as advertised. They lost a job for sure as it is just a matter of who I use. read more

If anybody is looking into having a fence installed, I recommend you DO NOT use Freedom Fence out of Pequannock. When they installed our double gate several years ago, they screwed the post closest to the house to the house without my knowledge. When we recently had the siding replaced on our house the builders removed the screw and the post leaned over and I literally just pulled the post over. They only used 3" of concrete around the base of the post. I called the company to complain and they basically didn't wanna hear it and said they'd fix it for $400. I haven't heard back from them after I told them they should stand behind their work and I'm not giving them $400 for their mistake that they should redo. I've never posted a complaint about a company but they really pissed me off. read more

Don't go with the middle quote. This company does not do a good job. My fence is not stable or level. On some parts it's being held up by a rock. I'm sure they didn't go 3 feet with there posts. I was told they can't come out if the weather is below 45 deg or it won't set. Well they show up when it's in the 30's. The next two days it was so windy the fence was wobbling. Chris was suppose to call me and he never did. I would not recommend this company at all. My gate is not level and I have to lift one side to open or close it. read more

We need our fence replaced ASAP. Called Saturday to schedule an estimate and Chris was here on Tuesday. He was knowledge and helpful. We explained we needed the work done ASAP. Originally when I inquired about the turn around time for installation was told 8-10 weeks. But Chris knew our time frame and he made it happen. I had looked into Fencing companies and chose Freedom because they were the only ones to show up when promised for a quote. A catalog was shown to me to choose my style, we agreed on a price and I made the appointment. They showed up first thing in the morning and worked the day through. The fence was about 80 feet long. They did most of the work, skipped a day because it rained and came back the 3rd day to complete the work and clean up. The fence was perfectly installed and looks beautiful. Stay far away from this so-called "business". My senior citizen folks had been taken advantage of by these scammers. Long story short, my folks contacted this company for a full backyard fence installation, which turned out to be a massive mistake. The installation was a complete botched job, as 1 of the doors of the fence drags across the ground when opening & closing. The other door on the other side of the home/yard doesn't even close! The latch on the locking mechanism was so very poorly installed, that you can't even close it. Multiple attempts by multiple family members via call & emails proved to be a complete waste of time. They kept saying they were going to send someone out in the next couple days, & yadda yadda, which obviously never happened. Then came the excuses. My poor senior citizen folks picked the wrong company, & then were unable to be present during the installation, & therefore paid the price. They have to keep the door that doesn't lock closed with a few larger rocks, & the sadder part is, they never even bother using/opening that door since the "new" fence installation, when they used to always go out/open the fence from that side for years & years. They have a puppy that sneaks away out of the yard every chance she gets, so not being able to lock, or even close that "brand new" fence is a serious problem, as you can imagine. We had a very good experience with Sal, the owner. He returned all calls in a timely manner, He showed up on time to view our property and give us a quote. We did have several quotes but found that Sal's quote was the best and a fair price. The installers Uriel Castillo and Alex Gomez were very respectful of our property since we had a large landscaping job done at the same time. In fact, Sal sent them back to restretch a small section of the fence because of the landscaping. They were great!! Freedom installed my fence in the spring of 2018 and I was pleased with the installation. The following year a storm caused a section of the fencing to come apart. I called Sal and he replaced the section. I later learned, after removing the post caps, that not all sections had been secured inside the cap with a nail/screw as others. When I texted Sal in May 2020 to install the missing fasteners on about a dozen posts, he replied that he would take care of it and I never heard back from him. read more

Vince Jr. is a great guy to deal with. Straightforward and to the point. He is willing to work with the customer. He and his crew did a GREAT job on the fence he put up for me at my new home in Little Falls NJ in September 2011. I get tremendous compliments on it. He will work with you on pricing if you know how to negotiate a bit. These guys do hard work and I wouldn't trust anyone else to have a fence installed other than Freedom Fence now after seeing how they work. Fence installation was okay except as noted below. However within the year there was a small problem that I wanted fixed. I called them and they did not return my calls. After threatening them with small claims court they called me back and said they would take a look at it. When they had not come with the month of calling me back I called again. This time the salesman came over and said the problem was easy to fix and he would come back in a few days to do it. He never came and I called again. He called me back and told me not to worry - he would be there to fix it. The next month I called again and told him to fix it it within the next few days or we go to court. He called me back and said he had fixed it - this was a total lie - he hadn't. I started action with the BBB and his response to them was that he had told me the fence was no longer in warranty and he offered to fix it for $250 and that I was verbally abusive to him and kicked him off my property. Again there was not an ounce of truth to his statement. His cousin who owned another fence company in the same are even contacted me via Yelp to find out what the problem was. He then told me his company was suing Freedom Fence becasue they owed him money (the exact quote was they were deadbeats) The problem with the installation (mentioned at the beginning) was that when I had a survey performed I found he was within an inch of the property line. While technically this is okay it it is very close and a slight miscalculation could have resulted in serious issues with a closing that had to take place on schedule. read more

However, when we needed a small repair to replace one slat and top piece of our PVC fence where a branch had fallen, we were gouged $400 for a couple bucks worth of materials and maybe 90 seconds of labor for the guys that came out. Avoid this business like a plague. They don't show up when they say they will. don\'t answer or return phone calls and they do shoddy work. I hired this company to replace a driveway gate. It was installed crookedly. After numerous calls and broken appts ( and excuse after excuse) their solution was to saw off part of the gate (unevenly mind you) just so the gate would close. They promised to return to make it look better but never came back. so after paying them hundreds of dollars I have a crooked gate that is hard to close and keep closed, with uneven slats, thanks to their sawing solution. and i am basically back to where I started, only out a lot of money. I recently had Freedom Fence install 160 feet of PVC 6' privacy fence on my property. I have gotten several other estimates and Vince Anello gave me the best price of all. Vince is truley a professional, he always called me back or answered when i called. Using Freedom Fence was a blessing, they told me when they could do the work, which was 3 weeks after my estimate and they put up the fence in 1.5 days.
