I've never had someone refuse me service but today is a first!…read more I rescheduled ONE appointment and asked why his practice charges more on top of what my insurance will cover and that was enough to not be a patient here. If you're too busy to take on new patients, that's one thing, but to gaslight me into thinking I'm a bad person is completely on another level. I had "bad vibes" per the owner and wasn't a fit for his practice--how unprofessional for a chiropractor to say to a stranger's face. And he didn't even have the decency to call beforehand to let me know prior appointment that he couldn't see me as a patient. Why book me at all if you say I'm not a fit for your practice just for me to take time off work, drive over and not be treated? In my whole life I have never been treated this way as a customer and I'm in honestly shock sitting here in the parking lot. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

When I first decided to see a chiropractor I started off by choosing the one closest to my house out of convenience -- that was a mistake. After parting ways with that chiropractor, I tried out 4 more that used various techniques. 3 out of the 4 didn't seem like their treatments worked for me, and the 4th did a bait and switch in pricing and I ended up owing thousands of dollars after a few months of treatments. Then my search led me to Dr. Alvarez, and that's where my struggle ended. I have been seeing Dr Alvarez for about 6 years now. She used a combination of treatments on me, and I have never felt better. My migraines have been non existent, I used to have to carry painkillers in my pockets before out of fear that my migraine might sneak up on my, but I don't have to do that any more. A few years ago I was in a car accident and it set my progression back quite a bit, but Dr. Alvarez went out of her way to accommodate to my situation and my recovery was very quick. Sadly, she moved her practice out of my area, but fortunately I have family close to where she is now. Once she gets her practice up and running I will definitely schedule a time for an adjustment, and for my relatives too.

All chiropractors aren't created equal…read more Chiropractors try and sell the snap, crackle and pop. Not with the very best Dr. Colby. It is the type of care that is related to previous physical health, such as injury physically and mentally. Dr. Colby has the knowledge of how to properly treat me, who's had sciatic pain, at a young age. He did nervous tests, x-rays, etc. With those tests, he discussed how I would be treated based on current conditions and how to stretch and exercise at home. My alignment improved over time. After those tests and initial adjustment, I got the best care from Dr. Colby! My sciatic pain has went down tremendously. He knew how to locate pain points. He is gentle and very precise with how he adjusts. No matter if he was over in Granite Bay, or the other location in El Dorado Hills, he made sure I didn't go out until I was in relief. He has a great saying "move it, shake it, don't break it." I was sentimental having to move across the country after the care Dr. Colby has given me for months on end. He was understanding and helped me find a chiropractor in my new hometown to be sure I was getting the same care I've been receiving. The chiropractor recommendation became a smooth transition. I owe it to Dr. Colby for his education and whit of knowing how to properly treat his patients. If you've been looking for a truly effective treatment for your back and neck pain, that keeps you stiff day and night, look nowhere else. I'd like to add that Back to Health Chiropractic plays worship music in their office, which kept me at peace with my treatment. Unashamedly so, they are a company with Christian values!

Very nice people who sincerely believe in what they do. The problem is that they will tell you that…read morethey can fix almost anything wrong with you, and they can't. I went to them for two months, 2-3 times a week and even paid for the magic $90-a-session table they told me about after I paid for adjustments. Didn't do a thing, no change. And the adjustments they do are fairly worthless, and the tests? Forget about it- no scientific proof they work. Plus, it seemed like every time I told them nothing was helping they would encourage me to stick with it, or buy another thing from them or someone else. They told me it would take months to help my back- but they have no idea. Their main goal is to keep you coming in and paying them. Dr. Simms is the worst in this regard. Nice guy- just doesn't think about value for his patients. It was also like pulling teeth to get a defined list of exercises, I basically had to do it myself. They're no worse than other chiros, and I'm sure they help people, but not people with my problem. Wish I hadn't spent so much money finding this out. Now I'll try the medical route, no shortcuts.

Dr. Colby's skills and talent for chiropractic is a true gift for people !…read more I went in yesterday after my back "went out ". I'm 28 years old and could hardly take a step . My husband had to help me get in and out of the car . I was in excruciating pain to the point of tears . Dr. Colby had me rest with ice to calm down inflammation before even working on me . He adjusted the table to take pressure off of my back before even starting . He knows so many ways to adjust , which I think is really awesome . If one technique hurt too much he quickly pivots to another technique . He took his time to find that I had 4 different segments of my back that were out of adjustment . He carefully adjusted me with an activator and checked in with me before doing each step . I appreciated that because the pain was severe. He recommended icing for 20 minutes with an hour off in between once I got home , and repeating it at least 3-5 times. I bought the icepack they sell at the office because the quality is so much better than what I have at home . I followed this icing to the "T". Today , my back is 80% better !!! I'm so much more mobile already and feeling hopeful that I'll be able to go back to work next week . I'm going in today again for a second visit with Dr. Colby . I can't recommend this chiropractor any more than this ! If you're suffering with something acute or long term chronic , please please get checked out by Dr. Colby . Relief is waiting for you . I feel so blessed to walk normal today ! Thank you Dr. C !!
